Canva is my go-to platform for creating marketing and project management materials. Pros I love the designs. Since I discovered Canva, I have used it for every single project, from pitch decks and infographics to promotional materials. You can get by with the free account, but it's limited to some basic designs. Using it is also easy! Cons Limitations on the free account. Most designs that are relatively intuitive tend to be paid, which could be a limitation on the free account. Designs are great on a free account, but I've noticed most people use the same designs, which could be a bit disappointing, as it seems like content has been repurposed. I am getting issues with the accuracy of the generated images, even after using different prompts. Liking finding where my folders and uploads are. Everything I have to do this it takes at least 10 minutes to find these buttons when they are such common functions there should be buttons for them easily accessible right from the home page. If I search for 'blue seating chart', it will start showing things like 'monthly reports', 'forecast', etc. Pros Has a lot of templates to choose from and designs to work with as well as being able to save the document in any size and format (Canva pro has more features). Cons The new AI search added to Canva has made it very difficult to find templates matching what I search/type in than before the AI search. It seems to only show the most commonly used/searched templates regardless of what I am typing or describing. They seem to update constantly, changing where tools used to be and moving things around so it feels like you need to keep rediscovering where things are to use it which takes up quite some time when everything before was fine. Easy to use, amend, update and duplicate precious creations. Pros I use the free canva and there are so many things you can do. I'm making designs on a weekly basis by making images for posts, tables for tracking and I also create cards/invitations on there. Love that there is a large range of free templates you can use. It's also great that you can search via size. Cons I struggle when my upline shared her account with me, it was difficult to transfer between the two and I panicked for a day thinking I had lost everything so I haven't used that feature since. There are so many templates, elements, and other features that you don't even need the paid version for editing or adjusting images unless you use it professionally and/or all of the time. I do think there are many perks to a pro account, though. Cons One small gripe is not being able to filter between free content and pro content. There are also some other small issues with the interface and getting items to line up. The flyer is by far superior to the doc format, but then it doesn't translate to being a document, only a pdf file or image.
