### "Protect my emails from vulnerable"

Using SpamTitan as my main software to fight spam emails is very effective and more benefit i have seen better then other more popular brand. I am very happy with the pricing and really valuable with what i has paid. When I think about email protection, it is always SpamTitan that pop-up in my mind.

Pros

SpamTitan has a very good accuracy in filtering a spam and malicious emails from entering my primary inbox. It is very easy to set up my own keyword that i want to include in the filter keyword and setting up the whitelist keyword. After setting everything up, the process is automated and i don't have to constantly monitoring it as it will sent me report for every-week activity.

Cons

There are time that a legit email will be blocked and there are no notification sent to remind me about this activity, and resulting that email stayed in the spam inbox until i have to manually check and whitelist it. Adding domain into the software for the first time can be confusing and i had to ask for a support to fix it.

### "Excellent product with an awful UI"

Excellent overall if you can get over the user interface. Solid product, solid support, Europe based.

Pros

Excellent value for money, excellent detection rate, the customizability of the v8 appliance that we use is unmatched.

Cons

The UI is probably one of the most god awful UIs you'll see in 2025. It reminds me very much of early 2000s web interfaces. Almost like a PHPbb board from 2004.

### "SpamTitan broke and their sales and support completely ignored us"

After the issue with greylisted emails, support was never able to release any of the emails. It caused us enough problems that the owner of my company had me completely disable SpamTitan. We have not used SpamTitan since. I reached out to our sales rep to see if we could get a refund but never received a reply. I also reached out to support and again never received a reply. I understand things go wrong, but being ignored is not acceptable. I will never again use or recommend SpamTitan

The web interface was easy to navigate for SpamTitan

Cons

SpamTitan had a glitch and everything started getting greylisted. I reached out to support but they could not help. Several important emails were stuck and could not be released. I had to reach out to the sender and have them send those emails to another account. I was told by support several times that the problem was fixed but it continued for us, random marking emails as greylisted and then refusing to release them. I had to complete disable SpamTitan on our domain.

We've had our share with spam filters and out managed email services and somehow they all aimed high but hit low - with numerous false positives, problems with mail handling, issues with some mail servers and a plethora of other issues. It's rare that I'll define a product as 'Perfect' and SpamTitan earned this title. Not a single complaint from our clients, not a single email lost, low false positive ratios and a super easy interface deliver the perfect experience at a very attractive price.

Pros

SpamTitan offers the best blend of usability, simplicity and effectiveness that we've ever encountered. As managed service providers we need a clean, easy-to-use interface and SpamTitan delivers exactly that. Its filtering is superb with very low false positives and excellent spam detection. Coupled with blazing fast delivery (zero latency) and pricing that is just right - we like every bit in it.

Cons

The interface has minor bugs to iron out and the message details view could be improved but otherwise it's a great service.

Amazing experience through initial enquiry, demonstrating, onboarding and ongoing support. Cant really fault anything they provide.

Pros

The portal for MSPs is fantastic. When you first log in you get the info for all clients with the option to dive straight into the history for all tenants. This means any emails that a client may be after is normally on the front page without needing to drill down first.

Cons

There is a little jumping around between different UIs, but I’m told work is in progress to put everything onto one UI. It’s still a very workable product and this is just not picking.

I took over after it was installed by someone that left the company and took knowledge with them. The support team, gave me an over the phone crash course, sent me links on how to manage and in a very short time I was able to take over management of this software for our clients. I like it so much I was able to convince my company to add Phish Titan as well and between the two has severely reduced the number of SPAM emails and compromised accounts.

Pros

The ease of installation. The management console. The KB articles, the ability to talk to an actual breathing human if you want.

Cons

I wish if you had one than one Titan product it could be in one management console. Running a tab for SPAM and then Phish Titan is a little clunky.

Overall an A grade, from implementation, coverage, support, and ease of use and customizability.

Pros

Cybersecurity for our clients involves a 12-point protocol, including e-mail protection. SpamTitan provides an affordable, small-footprint, flexible solution to address this area facing a growing threat. Customizable reports provide periodic review of spam and easy white and black-listing. Overall a stellar solution for this key area in cybersecurity.

Cons

Nothing negative thus far. Pnboarding took a little longer than expected but we were setting up for an MSP account, hence the turnaround was acceptable.

Pros

SpamTitan provided a lot of the functionality of our previous mail filtering service, while keeping costs competitive. It's very simple and easy to use from an end user perspective, and not terribly hard to set up as an Administrator. There are plenty of options for deployments both small and large. On the back end SpamTitan uses a collection of open source software like Spamassasin and ClamAV, bundled together in a pretty web interface they've designed and provide support for. Compared to rolling your own solution, hiring a Linux admin to manage a mail filtering service, this is much more cost effective.

Cons

Support was a little lacking. Their headquarters are in Ireland, so responses take a little longer, and it's a little hard understanding them sometimes, especially over the phone. The audio quality of overseas phone calls is very poor. The foundation SpamTitan is built on Spamassasin is only so good, it doesn't catch spam and viruses like the leading mail providers (Gmail/Google Apps). For that reason, it may require a little more time for administrators to fine tune settings.

It works, which is the main reason to use them. I like the admin interface, it has all that we need and it is not a headache to browze and use.

Honestly, there is none, no spam filter is perfect, we need to work with it, and it is easy to work with SpamTitan console, and when we have an issue, the support is there.

We had to quickly change spam filtering services due to licensing changes, and some other circumstances. We didn't want to sign a year or longer contract. SpamTitan was highly rated in a number of the forums that I looked at. The pricing was great for what we needed, and it was month to month. When I set it up to test, it worked just as I had hoped. The migration from our previous vendor was painless, and kudos to them that we were able to export things like our allow/block lists. There was a minimum of massaging of those lists to get them into SpamTitan. We did have some snags the first few days, and support was ready and able to get things fixed. There was sufficient follow-up. The experience overall was fantastic.

Pros

Cons

Support is out of Ireland, so there is often a lag in response Billing has been a bit difficult to sort out, 3rd party billing company Mail logs only kept for about 30 or 45 days, I would like 6 months available

I am spending 30 minutes writing a review in the hope that other people will make a better first selection than we did. Our experience showed us that the product is only marginally reliable and their support is god-awful.

Pros

Was easy to implement and, as the title said, it worked great until it did not.

Cons

This is a cloud-based product. In early August, the product totally failed. (it was a Friday morning in the US, but dont remember the date as we have moved on to an)other product). Just noticed that we were no longer receiving emails. Rerouted DNS to cut SpamTitan out of the loop and email (unfiltered) started flowing. Contacted Spam Titan and they confirmed that the cloud instance on which we were running was offline for unknown reasons. Our business is 24x7. We ran without Spam Titan on Friday, and Saturday, and Sunday, and Monday. We called for updates, on Friday afternoon, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday. Each time, there were no updates and were told that we would updated by email and by phone if we left our best contact number. Well, that never happened. Interestingly, we were not offered to route through any other web-instances. By late Tuesday, we had already vetted another product and moved our production platform to the new provider. Their support SUCKS. Moreover, I am going through the same goat-ropin' with trying to cancel my subscription. If you call them and make the appropriate selection, you always go to voice-mail (again, no callbacks). If you select "technical support", they have to connect you with Customer Service (one time out of two tries, I got a live CS person and they told me that they would have to connect me with "retention". Again, no one was available but was promised that someone would call me back -- never happened.

\- Spam protection that is adjustable- The quarantine allows you review every email flagged as spam- Email archiving is convenient

Cons

It takes some time and testing to adjust the spam score so that false positives are reduced while spam is actually caught. This really isn't a negative against SpamTitan - other similar products require the same.

Reason for choosing SpamTitan

I liked that SpamTitan integrated with our email stream so that spam was caught before it even hit our ISP. Other products simply weed out spam, but network resources were still used in the process.

### "Say byebye to spam!"

With over 500 mailboxes, spam had become a major problem for users. Not only was it an exposure point for phishing scams, but viruses as well. Along with just wasting resources on my email server and clients computers. Spamtitan has put a stop to most, if not all of the spam related issues my organization had. It is worth every penny.

Pros

It has greatly reduced the amount of spam getting to my users. I hesitate to put a % to it for fear of being low, but I say 90% of the spam that use to get through is captured now. Not only that, but I can easily blacklist or whitelist specific addresses or domains. Something that was a painful process on my previous spamfilter platform. You can also pull metrics and reports to show how much mail has been processed and how much has been caught.

Cons

The setup process can take some time, but their support staff are very helpful and will get you through it. It is worth the setup pains for the filtering it provides though.

Pros

This product has a lot of customizing options, which I like. For all of our customers, we have absolute control over the spam filtering system. The environment is steady, which is critical to our clients and us. When we were setting up our environment, the support personnel was accommodating. They responded quickly to emails and reached out to help us when we needed it. The spam detection system is excellent, far superior to other products we've used.

Cons

Learning the environment and configuring it to my needs can take some time. That's is to be expected in a situation like this, especially when we are dealing with very advanced tools or features that SpamTitan has provided.
