### "We love Kentico - Collaborative, Easy to Use CMS System for Content Marketers"

January 15, 2026

5.0

We've been using Kontent for our CMS for years, and it's been an amazing tool that saves our team so much time for the ease of collaboration, onboarding new teammates, and setting up content quickly and beautifully.

Pros

Kontent is easy to learn, and even easier to use! As a remote work team, we are able to collaborate easily in the tool, and use workflows to pass back and forth to teammates to quickly gain approval to publish pages. The page templates are flexible and allow us to create beautiful website design and pages.

Cons

I absolutely love that the system is set up to allow you to know if there are things you need to do/errors before the page will publish. However, it takes me a lot of scrolling at times to see what the errors are. I wish there was a one-click solution to see all the errors on the page that are preventing you from publishing it.

### "Powerful Headless CMS for Enterprise Content Management"

April 15, 2026

5.0

I’ve been using extensively as a Global Editor, managing multilingual content across multiple regions and markets for a large enterprise setup. What stands out the most is its structured content approach. It allows us to maintain consistency across different languages and channels while keeping content reusable and scalable. This is especially valuable when working on global platforms where content governance is critical. The user interface is clean and intuitive, making it easier for content editors to collaborate efficiently. Features like workflows, role-based access, and content scheduling help streamline operations across distributed teams. Another strong advantage is its flexibility as a headless CMS. It integrates well with modern frontend frameworks and allows developers to build custom experiences without being restricted by traditional CMS limitations. That said, one area that could be improved is component rendering dependency. Creating new components requires frontend support, which can slow down quick experimentation from a content team perspective. Overall, Kontent.ai is a robust and scalable CMS, particularly well-suited for enterprise-level content operations and omnichannel delivery.

Pros

Structured content model (highly scalable) Excellent for multilingual and global content management Clean and user-friendly interface Strong workflow and collaboration features Flexible headless architecture

Cons

New components require frontend mapping Limited preview flexibility without developer support Initial setup can be complex for new users

Switched from

[Microsoft SharePoint](https://www.capterra.com/p/1167/SharePoint/)

We switched from Microsoft SharePoint to to adopt a more modern, headless CMS approach. While SharePoint worked well for document management and internal collaboration, it was not ideal for scalable, structured content delivery across multiple channels.

### "A modern leap forward — from EzPublish to Kontent.ai"

April 21, 2026

5.0

After years on EzPublish, switching to one year ago was the right call. As an admin with an editorial focus, the difference in day-to-day content management is night and day — simpler, faster, and much more pleasant to work with.

Pros

Far more intuitive than EzPublish — the clean UI lets you focus on content without getting lost in complexity Customer support is outstanding — responsive and genuinely helpful, especially during the migration phase

Cons

For teams spanning non-digital departments, the workflow and collaboration features require adjustment — not a platform flaw per se, but worth factoring in carefully during onboarding

### "Focus is on content creation, making it easy to use."

July 31, 2025

4.0

I've used many CMSs in my career, both headless and non-headless. As someone with many years of experience in content creation and design, appears simplistic at first. However, this is it's strength. CMS user interfaces can overwhelm users with a multitude of options, many of which they'll never need.

Pros

makes content creation easy. Unlike other CMSs, it allows the creator to concentrate on the content without getting confused by the weeds of the content's design. By allowing content templates to be created, the creator can place content elements to maintain a clear structure. From a content design and management perspective, the support offered by Kontent.ai is quick and efficient. When things go wrong, you get a quick response. Not all vendors offer this.

Cons

There have been efforts to improve the management of content and content workflow, but this could be improved further. For example, moving content through a workflow in bulk is cumbersome and time consuming. Content reuse is also an area that could be improved. In a large geographically diverse team, ensuring everyone is aware of content that they can reuse is a perennial problem. Maybe if there was an AI agent where content is compared, and the content creator is made aware of a potential reusable content section.

Switched from

[MadCap Flare](https://www.capterra.com/p/111348/MadCap-Flare/)

Versioning was a nightmare. As the team grew, it became near impossible to manage content while maintaining a regular release cadence.

### "Creating a great content experience for our customers!"

August 7, 2025

continues to evolve as a product, with improvements such as the enhanced dashboard and mission control, new search functionality, and AI accelerators, which clearly show that they prioritise ease of use for their clients.

Pros

With , we have greater control over our content workflows and processes, and we have streamlined many of them. Their customer support has been excellent from the beginning, and \[sensitive content hidden\] is always available to assist.

Cons

Translation management processes are still something we are developing and tailoring around our specific use case.

### "Switched from Umbraco to Kentico Kontent"

December 9, 2019

5.0

Experience has been great. Technical documentation is good, and the example projects in various languages has been helpful.

Pros

Flexibility of content taxonomy, ease of implementation, speed of Delivery API, excellent tech support.

Cons

It is up to the client to determine how best to structure their content's taxonomy. There is a lot of flexibility in Kentico's Admin Portal, so some "best practices" and recommendations from Kentico would be helpful.

### "One of the more expensive headless CMSes out there"

December 28, 2022

4.0

Pros

It's reliable and since it's a SASS, the setup is painless. It is also flexible enough for anyone to use.

Cons

The pricing is hidden and only shared with you upon request, the lack of transparency is troubling. However since it's an enterprise-level software, we have no choice but to agree to the pricing.

### "A great system powered by good support"

November 6, 2025

4.0

In general it's a good, user friendly and complete headless CMS. We're looking forward to make it even more efficient with AI capabilities coming up

Pros

We are a customer of since the beginning and the platform has really developed well over the years. We really appriciate the support via chat and CSM. Als the AI capabilities, moving to Agentic CMS are appriciated and welcomed to work more efficient

Cons

We're missing bulk action to work effecient across multiple language variants and different projects. Next to that, the system doesn't provide advanced options for personalization

### "Kontent.ai is key for our content"

April 19, 2026

4.0

This is very helpful to us, as we highly depend on for most of our content base. Our funnel logics also depend the content inside this. We try to add different types of new content consistently as per our customer needs.

Pros

The features that has biggest advantage for us are - has support to many different languages, which are very much useful for us. - Can customize the structure of each content type differently. - has mass upload of any existing content - easy to edit and publish content for faster changes.

Cons

\- for us it is important to translate into different languages, it would be helpful to have a mass translation of content in one click instead of clicking each content key for translation

### "Good product"

March 11, 2022

5.0

Pros

UI for this product is super simple to use. Things are carefully laid out and easy even for non technical people. Compared to kentico experience this is way better. When it comes to kontent entry, that is easy too. For data modelling it is slightly trickier in that there are some concepts that are non intuitive. Once you have learned them then that is easy too. Kentico as a company really do listen to the users. This year alone a few features have been release that we have been asking for for a while. The roadmap is public too so it is easier to plan around features that are still missing.

Cons

1\. Web hooks aren't perfect yet. Some providers give you the chance to shape the json for a webhook before it is sent out. This is not possible with Kontent. 2. Custom Data validation would be useful. I hear this is on the roadmap 3. Need better tooling for managing content as code

### "Worth a close look if you're shifting to headless"

December 13, 2019

4.0

We moved our website from a legacy CMS to Kentico Kontent, and have other sites we'll move over next year. Kontent allows us more flexibility in running multiple sites, and running our main site in multiple languages. Compared to our old system, it's \*much\* faster and easier to use. Our site performs better/faster, and we're able to shift to a more open-source model of development and integration. We're excited about the opportunities it will open up to us in the future as we more fully redevelop our sites and begin to leverage it for other digital properties. Their sales and customer support teams have been highly responsive to our issues and are overall a pleasure to work with. The one drawback: Kentico the company seems to be running in multiple directions at once, and some dev issues we encountered with their plugins took longer than they should have to resolve due to developers on their side being on vacation or dedicated/specialized in other areas. Once we got linked up with the dev that specialized in our plugin/issues, it's been a productive a mutually beneficial working relationship. However, the degree to which their skill sets seem to be siloed is concerning.

Pros

Easy to use, flexible, a good value, good team behind the product

Cons

Currently, Kentico resources are spread thin

Pros

Great customer experience, easy to set up, content model is flexible and scalable.

Cons

November 11, 2024

As a headless CMS, it allows us to have enormous flexibility to be creative and explore different features. We do need help from developers to ensure we are able to deliver a product that follows our brand guidelines, and is also compatible with all required APIs.

Pros
