### "upgrade from schedule fly, integrative"

Pros

I like that we can integrate our sales from our POS, Aloha, to our HotSchedules account to forecast sales and help control our labor costs.

Cons

I wish that the request off features were a little less confusing for our employees, and that we could view the total number of people scheduled on a certain shift at the bottom like with older versions of Hot Schedules.

### "Streamlines AP to a paperless process"

Time savings Accountability - able to designate approvers for invoices

Pros

Paperless - don't have to print or mail payments or file invoices Can quickly access PDF's of any invoice and all the accounting details

Cons

Syncing to QuickBooks Online has been a little tricky. There's definitely a learning curve to understand the limitations of the sync function and learn how to work around it.

### "Are you still writing paper checks? You need Bill.com"

A company I work for has been issuing paper checks since I began working for them. I use Bill.com in a couple of side ventures and they made it easy to securely go paperless and pay vendors electronically. Recently, we were notified by our bank that fraudulent paper checks had been issued on our account. Fortunately, the fakes were stopped before they cleared, but in viewing them - I realized it was time to push the owner to make the switch to Bill.com. Why? Because in this digital age, all it took was a snapshot the routing, account and signature and a cash-able check was created on blank check stock and the signature digitally applied.

Pros

\- Secure - Great user controls -i.e. separation of duties for data entry, approval and release for payment roles - Paperless - invoices can be scanned to a custom Bill.com email address. - Integrates with QuickBooks, Xero, InnAcct

Cons

If you use their invoicing feature, the UI for applying manual payments is a little clunky, but they are working on it. Definitely usable but not as nimble as QuickBooks Online for applying payments.

### "They contacted my client DIRECTLY!"

Pros

Nothing! They misrepresent themselves and lie about what they are doing. They need new salespeople or need to let the ones they have know that this will not increase sales. I'm reporting them to Quickbooks Online

Cons

I was only researching the software for a client through Quickbooks Online. My client and I decided it was too expensive and there are other payment services that are more effective so we decided to not download the product. Today, however, someone from Bill.com called my client directly at his place of business and tried to pressure him into purchasing. He misrepresented himself by saying that he 'works with me' and that was why he was calling! It totally jeopardized my relationship with my client! I'm horrified by these practices.

### "No Customer Service available"

I got a new computer, and had to do two step verification. But our office number is now a phone tree because of COVID. So I cannot do two step verification when I login. I clicked on support, and sent a message (no phone number available), and it said it sent me a message on the "message center" which I cannot access because I cannot get past the two step verification. So there is no way to reach customer support.

Pros

very basic system, not many features, but easy

Cons

No customer service phone option available. If you have any issues, and you can't login, you can't use the product.

Bill.com is an easy to use software with a quite perfect interface. It allows you to have contact with safe customers who already use the tool and document invoices by e-mail. It is also user-friendly

Since we have been using it we have not encountered any problems with the tool

### "Difficult to reach customer service"

I had problems reaching customer service when there was a problem and it wasn't always clear when there was a problem was it coming from my end or from the customer end. They did eventually resolve everything but for my business needs I prefer other software.

Pros

It was an easy way to send invoices to customers to receive payment.

Cons

It wasn't always easy to change banks and payment methods.

I use bill.com multiple times a week to pay my clients bills. It’s easy to use and convenient to have everything in one place.

Pros

Bull.com has always been good but the newest version is extremely user friendly and saves a lot of time. I love how the software can detect the information right from the bill pdf so I don’t need ti type it in. It saves so much time.

Cons

I do not have any issues with bill.com. I have had a great user experience thus far and haven’t run into any issues.

I have found Bill.com easy to use and navigate. This software has been vital to keeping payments moving as we moved into remote and hybrid workflows.

Pros

I like that it is easy to add new payees and that employees can submit reimbursements directly to accounting using this system.

Cons

I wish there was a way to send invoice reminders when you are waiting on a payment.

Cons

Struggles when it comes to invoicing, international vendors, & wire transfers. I wish there were a bank account you could link directly to it

Our favorite SaaS product... and we use dozens. I would not work in a workplace without paperless AP processes.

Pros

Saves a huge amount of time managing AP. We've been on bill.com for 8+ years and I can't imagine running AP in compliance with our policies and procedures without it (or something similar).

Cons

Sync with external services can glitch if you're not careful. Cost can be expensive at highest tiers.

There really weren't many restrictions. Each AP Software has its own benefits and faults and this works well for us.

### "GREAT Invoice and Accounting Softward"

It has helped me customize my invoices and keep everything in one place which I like. I'm a beginner with accounting and it's not generally my thing. Now that I have my own business that I'm working on growing, I need to be more involved in this process. Bill.com makes it easy!

Pros

I love that this software makes it so easy to connect with businesses that I work with. I love the flexibility with invoicing and how it keeps track of my incoming revenue. I love that I can go in and add to an existing invoice and save it for next time to continue adding.

Cons

I am currently using the free version and started about a month ago. I have not found it easy to change things like my address and other things that should be pretty easy to navigate.

Pros

Bill.com is very easy to use and the app on my phone makes it even easier. I use Bill.com personally and with our business.

Cons

We had to cut down on our users in the app because of the cost. I wish there were options for multiple users that wasn't expensive.

We signed up for a free trial to manage getting our invoices approved and paid while working remotely. I'd heard great things about the site, and I'm sure it is great for larger organizations with a larger budget. For now, we'll have to find a less expensive way to manage our payments and approvals.

Pros

I love the ability for managers to view and approve payments online. Faster, easier, and more organized than submitting paper invoices for approval (and better for the environment!).

Cons

Unfortunately, as a small nonprofit, the pricing put this out of our reach. $39/user per month for the basic tier, plus processing fees? We can't justify the expense.

Our bill paying is highly automated thanks to Bill.com. Highly recommended.

Pros

Bill.com is great at managing payables. We have about 80% of our vendors now on ACH via Bill.com. Integrating nicely into Xero (also into Quickbooks).

Cons

We would like to see a three way match in this product. (purchase orders - shipping documents - invoices)

### "Complex and Not User Friendly"

Pros

Ability to pay vendors via check from the web is pretty convenient.

Cons

Interface is overly complex. Also if you are an accounting firm or multi-account user, the setup process for creating and moving between organizations is not user friendly. My inquiries to customer service were logged via support ticket, however the resolution was not provided and when I followed up at a later date I was told my request had been closed. Frustrating to say the least. Billing for the software has not been smooth either, I had some complaints in that regard.

As mentioned, we are new users to Bill.com. We wanted to try out this software because I had heard it was easy to use and pay vendors. Many of our clients use Bill.com so it made it that much easier! We really do enjoy using this software!

Pros

We are new users to Bill.com, but we have loved using it so far. It is so easy to set up an account and send out invoices or even pay different vendors!

Cons

Nothing really comes to mind when thinking of negatives for Bill.com. We have not had any complaints so far!

### "Who doesn't accept credit cards? "

Pros

We have a handful of vendors who for some reason only accept checks as payment in 2020. This has made working with them incredibly easy. Other than that, we use different software for our billing and payments.

Cons

There is better billing software available. Bill.com isn't easy to use and is our back up for a reason.

### "Beware the back-end!"

Eliminates redundancy in documentation (and data storage). Big reduction of time wasted in creating, formatting, and saving, re-saving and digitally signing every transaction. Easy to learn for non-accounting people. Reduces room for error in data-entry.

Pros

Ease of use for non-accounting staff. Consolidation of supporting documentation for A/P.

Cons

The cost--even users with minimal permissions (view only) cost the same as admins. Cost per transaction is a bit high. The back-end is impossible to customize. You cannot specify the accounts in QuickBooks Online that you want to use for payables, so they land wherever Bill.com decides and wreak havoc if you have specially designated A/P accounts for different compliance purposes. Navigation is a bit clunky in places, especially when reviewing supporting documents (no scroll-through, only page-by-page).

Reason for choosing BILL Accounts Payable & Receivable

We chose Bill.com because of good reviews on the usability end, its supposed ease of integration with QBO, an excellent sales rep who took time to demo and answer questions, and seemingly no-brainer adoptability by non-finance staff.

You cannot easily call and talk to anyone. Chats are easy but getting someone on the phone is difficult.

Pros

They send payments to our vendors, either paper check or direct deposit.

Cons

Bill.com updated their "platform" but it doesn't work well. They have an auto-fill feature that automatically adds the vendor to a bill but it often picks up the wrong vendor and we have had vendors receive payments they were not entitled to, hug hassle.

Pros

As a freelance artist, creating invoices one of the most tedious yet essential tasks, and it's crucial to keep track of payments. Bill.com automatically creates invoice numbers, and you just have to plug in your info into drop-down or fillable boxes, making invoicing much less dreadful. It's also integrable with Expensify and allows for direct deposit.

Cons

The inbox is a little confusing- when I upload a file, it seems to disappear. Luckily, I haven't had to use the inbox much. I have had no other issues using Bill.com.
