Pros The features that I like are ease of use and ease of approvals within our organization. I also like the ability for the software to learn from invoices and apply that learning to coding future invoices. Cons The one feature that I would add is the ability to utilize humans to analyze very large and complex bills. I wish I could say something positive, but they are very unprofessional and do not care about their clients. Cons No help at all through their online support. And there is no way to get a live person on the phone . You have to make an appointment to speak with someone. Finally when I was set up...I had to basically teach myself, they determined that funding business was not suitable for them...this after being told by one of their sales reps on more than one occasion....your business is no problem. Principal Accounting Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great Software for AP" December 28, 2022 5.0 Bill.com helps speed up our workflow with Accounts Payable, for many bills it reads the bills and auto-fills the fields, which I love! Pros Bill is a great software for Accounts Payable, it is very robust and customizable and makes my work more efficient. Cons The Accounts Receivable side of Bill is decent, but it is somewhat glitchy, expecially in the integration with QuickBooks and we also have customers who say an invoice is showing as unpaid on their end when it is actually paid. August 12, 2022 4.0 Pros Easy to track invoices and credit memos by going through the vendor profile or searching by reference number. Able to connect to our accounting software. Auto populates information by finding invoice number, amount, and expenses. Cons Inbox has no sort feature, program freezes up when multiple users are working on it. The payment delivery date gets adjusted when the volume and amount of payment are high making the payments arrive late. The ability to change a direct deposit account very quickly enables us to manage where any payments may go without having to repeatedly complete any paperwork for bank routing. Pros There are three factors that stood out for our use. First, integration into our workflow for invoicing was quite simple. The ability to use a feature-rich mobile app was also important. Lastly, the support for multiple bank accounts is helpful for deposits. Cons The filtering of invoice views seems a little misunderstood by some of our staff at times. Cons Bill.com was been the worst payment provider our business has ever worked with. The customer service email disregards everything that you say, they do not allow you to call in with any questions or concerns. The company withheld funds for work we had performed for over 4 weeks without cause. This is a very shady and untrustworthy enterprise! Today I contact bill.com for the 1st time (nearly impossible as they do everything they can to hind a phone number) I requested that our accounting software consulting company be removed from our bill.com account and I am told that only the terminated firm can "release" our bill.com account and it is 100% up to them. Keep that in mind if you choose to try this service. If you end your relationship with your software provider they are still in control of your accounts payable tool???? Totally unacceptable to our company and think long and hard before you make the same mistake we did and using bill.com for your AP needs. I believe that the problem was that you were trying to unlink from the Bill.com console that your accounting firm was using. It is a very easy user interface and makes paying bills easy. Pros Bill.com makes it really easy to make payments to our vendors. We can easily make payment via check or e-payment. Being that we use Xero, Bill.com easily syncs down into Xero. Cons The one con would be that you can't do foreign currency payments via Bill.com. They only support USD transactions. In that time I have watched the progress of of the accounting software grow. Bill.com offers a quality tool that has all the workflows in place. Multiple software applications mimic this software. They can be utilized. But only Bill.com puts together the complete package. The start of receiving the bills, to the approval process, to the payment process. It saves time keeping all of the information into one location. Bill.com offers a receivable process as well. The system allows for security on payments, recurring invoices, and a customer portal. All of this in one solution is a winning combination. Pros I like the emailed statements about my expenses reimbursed for that account deposit. Money goes directly into my account and I do not have to wait for my semi-monthly paycheck. I get reimbursed much more quickly and frequently. Setting up my direct deposit was simple. Cons There is nothing that I dislike with this product. I have only used it for 4 months as of this review, but so far it has been great. I was convinced to use them because they didn't have a transaction fee, which they actually do, and the software cost is massively over what I'd have paid in transaction fees. CS is abysmal. No phone number. Team no-showed on scheduled calls. At every interaction point my blood was boiling in frustration. Vendors having trouble setting up accounts. Syncing issues all the time. RUN! Pros For a time, I could send payments and receive payments. Cons Forces you into paid acct once your test invoices are sent and then customers can't pay you if your trial has lapsed. Lower tiers have no basic functionality. Paying by user makes the cost massive. Syncing with QB didn't work. Overpriced and crap quality with no support. I spent 3 days trying to untangle a mess with paying vendors. Reason for choosing BILL Accounts Payable & Receivable Promised lack of transaction fees, a Vendor asked me to use them. The segregation of duties helps protect the company. Simple to use. Easy to see when a payment will arrive and when a check clears. Pros It makes it easy to have an audit trail for entering, approving, and paying bills. It also makes it easy for customers to send electronic payments for their invoices. Customizable user permissions. Cons When you invite a vendor or customer to use Bill.com, it requires them to give quite a bit of information in order to set up an account.
