### "Probably the worst CS I have ever encountered"

July 11, 2024

1.0

Pros

Easy to get started and the system is easy to use

Cons

Non transparent pricing. Overbilling. Lost inventory but the most important of all is the appalling customer service. False promises after false promises with SLA followed by lies about technical issues followed by further false promises.

### "ShipBob Does NOT Work With Shopify Markets"

March 4, 2024

2.0

Overall the experience has been OK. The issue with Shopify not working properly with Shopify Markets means we wasted a ton of our time and now have to leave to find a new 3PL that works properly with Shopify Markets.

Pros

Multiple fulfillment centers around the world.

Cons

If anyone at ShipBob tries to tell you their app works with Shopify Markets they are lying to you. If you have several markets setup in Shopify (ie, the US, Australia, the EU), ShipBob's crappy app will only sync to Shopify the AGGREGATED inventory count across ALL of your markets. So if you have 100 units in the Australia and 0 units in the US at your ShipBob Australia and US fulfillment centers, it will tell Shopify that there are 100 units across ALL markets. So it's not possible to have out of stock in the US and Available for sale in AU. Even with 0 units in the US, it will continue to show 100 in the US because there are 100 in Australia. ShipBob completely ignores the fact that different markets in Shopify can have different inventory counts (Shopify confirmed they can do this and the issue is ShipBob's app). So now we have people in the US buying a product that we have to fulfill from Australia! Rather than being out of stock in the US. This is just plain stupid. Shopify has been pushing everyone to use Shopify Markets, and ShipBob is always telling us how easy it is to expand globally with them, but that's not true if you plan to use Shopify Markets. We even had an external agency quote us well over $20K to fix this issue because ShipBiob won't. lol. After months of this BS, and no interest on ShipBob's part to fix this, we are actively looking to move to a new 3PL. If you use, or plan to use in the future, Shopify Markets then ShipBob is not for you.

### "Overpriced and slow to resolve business needs "

November 3, 2023

2.0

Fatiguing, expensive and a complete drain from focusing on growing our business. Shipbob Australia is not a growth enabler, they're a growth disabler. Since we have left we have dropped our variable costs by 30% and are scaling into a multi 7 figure a year business. It has been freeing leaving Shipbob and we are loving working with a real partnership with open communications in our new 3PL.

Pros

Fulfilment was fast and implementation was easy. The UI is well designed.

Cons

\- Inaccurate billing which created month long disputes, both due to lack of understanding of Australian tax rules and technology overcharges. Significant evidence was needed including calls with overseas management to make a case for what we identified as incorrect. - Lack of customer focus. Whenever there was an issue, it felt like entering a legal dispute. Communications felt adversarial and we always needed to make business cases for everything we identified that was wrong with Shipbob processes. We were often first pushed to overseas support to resolve the issue, seemingly in India, where there was a complete disconnect from reality and a total lack of understanding of the issue at hand. We then always had to escalate matters to local management and then eventually to head office as the local team in Australia was powerless to make real change. - Overpriced $$$. Once we did a review of 3PLs in Australia, we noticed we were being charged circa 50% more from Shipbob than what was quoted elsewhere. Once we engaged Shipbob to review our rates, they still only reduced our rate card by 20%. The Shipbob team is so far off market competitive rates. - Technology incompatibility with Australia. I can't state this enough. The tech is built for America. Everything is focused on American metrics and ways of operating. They are trying to localise the tech but progress seems to move in years not months. There were several errors where we were charged several thousand dollars over what was meant to be made. We fought for months to get these refunded. We are hearing rumours of other brands being made to sign NDAs now to silence them once they exit in exchange for Shipbob solving outstanding financial matters with the brand(s).

### "If you are considering Shipbob, don't"

July 16, 2020

3.0

Pros

East of use, fast integration, 4 warehouses conveniently spread across the USA.

Cons

I have been a happy customer of ShipBob with a number of referrals sent their way over the year that I've been with them, but ShipBob has made to me seriously reconsider my opinion about them... Although their customer support is nice to speak to, they have gone from a channel to provide suggestions to warehouse ops (issue escalation option is non-existent) to powerless robots making repetitive promises that things will be handled "soon". Two weeks down and soon is yet to happen. Customer response times have gone from a few hours to one-three business days. Even when you get a response, it rarely gives you a way forward. Check-in emails asking about the same issue a few days in a row are now just being ignored. Also, don't be fooled by SLAs. Lately, ShipBob has started creating Warehouse Receiving Tickets on our company's behalf moving incoming stock from an earlier ticket to a later one to comply with their 6 business day processing SLAs. Our latest shipments are 10 business days into processing with no news, but they are still marked as Green/within the SLA, because new ticket means new deadlines. The above is happening while ShipBob is declaring new reduced SLAs as things are coming back to normal. If you are looking for a long term partner to support your needs, carry one. ShipBob is not the place to stop.

### "If I could give 0 stars, I would"

May 15, 2020

1.0

If you are looking for a fulfillment partner, ShipBob is a horrible option. In our experience... They lied about their rates and technological capabilities. They fought with us when we brought issues to their attention. Their failures resulted in hours and hours and hours of our time being devoted to something we thought we were outsourcing. Worst of all, we lost customers due to delayed orders and faulty tech related to shipping options. We had significant issues with ShipBob since we very first began working with them, and every time one issue was solved, another occurred. Below are the issues we encountered, and based on other reviews and of their own admission, I know we are not the only company to face issues like these.

Pros

\-The Dashboard is nicely designed and easy to navigate

Cons

\- They bait-and-switched us on affordable 2 Day shipping. It took getting one of the company's founders involved for them to fulfill the promises they made, and contracted for, regarding giving our customers access to affordable 2 Day shipping. - They consistently overcharged us for fulfillment, requiring us to do several audits and request credits for being overcharged. These exercises took hours and involved a lot of back-and-forth each time. In some cases, it wasn't until we threatened legal action that they credited us for these overcharges. Overall, we were credited several thousand dollars for overcharges, which is not insignificant. - They offered us "real time rates" for overnight orders that were not actually tied to real time rates; it was a complete misnomer and false promise. This resulted in us under-charging customers and having to cover the difference, which turned profitable sales into losses. - For a reason they still cannot explain, they removed all shipping options and rules, and instead put in place a $20 ground option (our product retails for $39.95 and weighs 6 ounces). Our conversion rate plummeted from 4.6% to 1.3% during the time that our shipping options were affected. We were not the only customer affected by this issue, and because ShipBob never got to the bottom of why it happened, they could not assure us it wouldn't happen again.

### "Horrendous Service and Constant Overcharging"

June 23, 2020

1.0

Terrible. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Pros

\- Easy to set-up and integrate with Shopify

Cons

\- Some of the worst customer service and communication I have ever dealt with. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] (the account manager) sold us and was responsive then, and since then hasn't returned a single call. - They baited us in with service until we sent our products to the fulfillment center and have been one of the worst companies I've ever worked with since then. They got out products, know it's tough to switch to a different center and stopped caring about the 'service' they were giving. - Every attempt to communicate with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has gone without a response. We are able to contact the 'customer service' line who can never do anything about the issues we have other than let us know \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] will reach out to us, which never ends up happening. The result is hours and hours of wasted time and energy on something we were supposed to be outsourcing. - Beyond this, we waited for weeks on a dekitting order to be processes (needed a small plastic wrap taken off our bags) - the order took 3 weeks to process and when it finally was processed, we were not notified and they removed all of our inventory. All inventory on Shopify was set to zero and our ad campaigns were still running to product pages where no inventory was available. It took us a few days to realize this as conversion rates plummeted to 0.

### "Gets the Job Done Right"

March 5, 2020

5.0

My review should make it obvious that we love ShipBob. The tools they offer have been incredible for us and their team has been nothing but super helpful.

Pros

ShipBob handles our shipping so much better than we could have hoped for. We almost never have issues with them. Usually any issue stems from something on our end or an issue with the customer, but when there are issues the customer support staff is ready to help. The analytics tools are also a great asset for us.

Cons

Like I said, there are almost never any issues. A small nitpick is that the UI is a little dated looking. This is not a knock on the functionality at all.

### "Grew too fast for its own good"

June 28, 2019

1.0

Customer service is very slow to respond and don’t listen. If they lose a package they don’t own up to it and blame the carrier, meanwhile the carrier says they never received it. Shipbob won’t own up to it.

Pros

Saves me time with product fulfillment.

Cons

Terrible and slow customer service. Shipbob regularly loses packages. I’ve lost thousands of dollars of packages in just 3 weeks. I now have to insure each package assuming it’ll be lost

### "Our Most Often Recommended Fulfillment Provider"

October 14, 2019

5.0

Pros

We're a conversion rate optimization firm who helps ecommerce brands choose vendors who add to the customer experience, which includes fulfillment. As you can imagine, having a fulfillment partner who can ship in 2 days to any location in the mainland USA is crucial to increasing conversion rates –– and competing with Amazon.

Cons

We honestly haven't heard any complaints once we've recommended ShipBob – and working with their team to help onboard ecommerce brands we've recommended has always been a pleasure.

### "A simply platform that allows you to focus on your core business-all with an amazing support team!"

March 23, 2020

5.0

I oversee business development efforts for Natural Cycles and recently was tasked with taking over our US logistics. When I first took this over everything seemed like a foreign language but \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] (Shipbob support team) reassured me he would be able to help me every step of the way! He has been incredibly prompt with his support and has taken several calls with me to personally walk me through features on the platform. He never has seemed frustrated (and with all my questions, I do not know how this was possible!). I just wanted to call the support team's superior service and recognize how simple the software is to use. The features are so straightforward.

Pros

The software was easy to integrate with our core systems. The order tracking is clear and concise. The analytics tool allows you to easily sort through the data and sku performance allowing you to focus on inventory tracking with ease! Submitting WROs have never been more clear and inventory management across all warehouses is seamless.

Cons

I truly have no complaints. The software and the support team are amazing!

### "Made a Loss Using Shipbob "

February 21, 2024

2.0

There was no effort made to make up for inflated fulfilment costs for our first batch of orders. Was planning large order volumes to be stored processed through Shipbob but not anymore.

Pros

The warehouse \[sensitive content hidden\] was fantastic to deal with.

Cons

The pricing is completely off for our products. Having shipped our products ourselves for the past 12 months, when we get charged by Shipbob 4x the rate we were achieving, this will be the first and last time we use shipbob for our e-commerce business.

### "If your products are breakable/fragile, DO NOT USE THEM!!"

August 7, 2019

1.0

STAY AWAY! THESE GUYS ARE HORRIBLE. We sell sauces, marinades and bloody mary mix and hired them to do fulfillment for us for our ecommerce business. Not only was the customer service terrible, they absolutely could not figure out how to ship products that are heavy/breakable so they didn't break in transit. The first go-around, they were putting glass bottles of BBQ sauce into boxes UNPROTECTED. What human doesn't have the reasoning skills to look at that and say "Gee, maybe this ought to have some kind of cushioning so it doesn't break the first time this box gets jostled." We went through this with them twice and ended up with 15 or so orders that broke in transit because they didn't pack them properly. Then, they wanted us to file an individual claim for each of the broken shipments - huge waste of time and money. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS - YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

Pros

Interface is very user-friendly. The dashboard is super streamlined and helpful.

Cons

Claims process is slow, onerous and overly complicated.

### "Once you set it up, Shipbob works very nicely as a fullfilment company with woocommerce"

January 18, 2018

4.0

Once it is set up and working, we will have outsource fulfillment saving in time, money, and potentially improving on customer experience. It will allow us to be much more competitive internationally because of the intenational shipping prices they can get.

Pros

Shipbob fully integration with your woocommerce store, automatically completing your orders and optionally sending the tracking information to the customer. Once it is setup to your satisfaction it works very nicely, and more importantly, handling & shipping prices are generally better that what any small company will be able to get just for postage cost, particularly in international shipments.

Cons

Implementation was harder than expected. Although the interface is relatively intuitive, it is not always super straight forward. Certain things require manual setup on their side, such as modifying the packing labels. Customer support has been slow to answer, particularly for technical issues with the woocommerce integration which took over a week to get the necessary feedback to fix the issue

### "Late Shipment !!! Do not use it you are using EBAY "

May 1, 2020

2.0

Not suitable for Ebay users i will search for other company

Pros

it takes more than 24 hours in 90% of the orders to have just the label created ... This cause to my eBay accounts late shipment and item not shipped and tracking number on time... in the end you loose your selling performance ... as a results minimize your future sales is unacceptable that the shipping label is not created automatically as the size and the weight of the item is already given ... Also is not work for color variation... if you have the same item in different colors you need to pay for every color a monthly fee for extra SKU .... for example 1 t Shirt with variation of 20 colors need 100$ per month on paying SKU Fee... also the customer support does not conatct me after requesting 2 times a call .. till today nothing ...

Cons

practical software easy to use but useless as the service is very slow

Hi Stelios, we set out to build a 5-star product for all customers, so we take your feedback serious. In our reply, you have my email, so you can reply directly. You mentioned shipment timelines. We have stayed 100% within our SLAs, as we had to slightly extend the timelines due to Coronavirus and the carriers changing their SLAs. That being said, we also stayed 100% operational through Coronavirus to support all customers. Also, you mention different storage locations for every SKU, but this is part of any agreement before anybody starts shipping with us. If there was any miscommunication, let's please resolve this together.

### "Avoid"

May 29, 2020

1.0

Horrible. First, it takes a very long time to get in touch with someone and work through even simple problems. If you have any kind of issue, expect it to take two weeks at least to resolve. Second, the warehouses are geared to overcharge you. I did not want to think that was true, but it has proved to be very true. From day one they tried to cheat me. They overcharged for delivering a tiny custom box by stating that it weighed much more than it did. It took literally a month for them to do anything about it -- a month of my time wasted with emails, phone calls, producing documents that showed the actual weight of the item. Then they over-bill for storage -- every warehouse bills a different amount for the same items. When I was freighting my boxes back to our location in Seattle, Moreno Valley charged me $400 to put a few boxes on a pallet. The average employee there is paid $13 an hour. So they are claiming that stacking a few boxes on a pallet took 30 hours. I know the size and weight of my boxes. It will take me half an hour. Goodbye Shipbob. Do not be fooled by a slick looking interface. Avoid this company.

Pros

It is only as good as the people inputting the data. Every warehouse location operates differently, so you will see wild inconsistencies, incomprehensible descriptions, and just flat out wrong information.

Cons

Not only is there a learning curve, but there is a need to constantly check what they have done. Over billing, incorrect completion. Warehouses are trying to make money off you. Check the weight of the products they report. Check the size of the products. Are they storing it on a pallet when it could fit on a shelf? The software cannot protect you from what the warehouse managers are doing.

### "Bad Service, Can't count & Non-Transparent Pricing - "AVOID""

March 11, 2019

1.0

Avoid at all cost. They are terrible and basically hold your product hostage. I have been attempting to leave, as they have become almost useless and they are making my company look bad. Your shipping facility is a representation of your company and I promise this isn't a company you want representing your company.

Pros

It kinda connects to Woocommmerce, but it doesn't bring it over automatically.

Cons

\- They regularly over ship products. I had one customer receive 65 more pieces than was order. - B2B takes 5 days to ship. - Pricing isn't straight forward. They seem to take a percentage of what they think the sale is. - Customer service is low level at best. It is basically impossible to talk to someone.

### "Changed my life!"

May 5, 2019

5.0

Before I transitioned to ShipBob, my label printer was an electronic leash. I even took it on vacations to fulfill orders. My entire life revolved around my (sometimes multiple) trips to the post office. I was really nervous to transition to a 3rd party fulfillment center, but I knew that what I was doing was A) no longer sustainable and B) preventing my business from growing. The ShipBob employees were friendly, personable and reassuring. They walked me through the process, which was incredibly simple and they eased my fears about sending all of my inventory away. The first week that ShipBob was implemented was LIFE CHANGING for me. I saw orders coming in, and I no longer felt the desire to rush back to my office to fulfill orders. I enjoyed time doing things with my husband and mom who was in town visiting. I WENT BACKPACKING AND GOT PAID without frantically driving back to ship envelopes. I re-discovered the freedom that comes from being an OWNER not an OPERATOR. If you are considering ShipBob, please do not hesitate or procrastinate it as long as I did. I will change your life and allow you to focus on the BIG PICTURE things for your business. In the past few weeks, my sales have SKYROCKETED. I truly believe that this is a direct result of letting go of the minutia and shifting my energy towards thinking about the future of my business. My business is now in a place where it will thrive and grow WITHOUT me preventing its success by grasping at straws.

Pros

Very very easy to use and intuitive. Seamlessly integrated with my Shopify store!

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything that I don't like.

### "A good tool, but the fulfillment is a different story"

October 29, 2019

4.0

The software is not so bad, as are the people in fulfillment - we have had products stolen from the warehouse, competitors' goods shipped etc. We can see who did it, but have no control over whether or not we want them still working with our product or not. The support try their best to remedy these things, and they are really great, but as long as these things keep happening, and obviously, terms and conditions don't really give you space to make up the damages to the full extent, this is not great.

Pros

I like how everything is nice, in big font and images, blue (rests eyes) and intuitive. It's really smart when it comes to WRO creation and simple to track costs. Their business model is really nice. The support is also amazing, and makes up quite a bit for the cons.

Cons

It's missing some features that one would need when managing stock - like a quick way to view historic product count. I would also like to see better and simpler integrations for expedited shipping. Generally, connecting stores is a drag, and should not be so complex.

### "Avoid ShipBob - inflated reporting and hidden exorbitant fees"

November 16, 2020

1.0

Pros

User friendly interface is the only pro I would give ShipBob credit for.

Cons

Avoid ShipBob at all costs. There are better, faster, more transparent, and more affordable 3PL companies out there. With me, Shipbob never made a single delivery on schedule this past year. I can understand that given the state of delays with this pandemic, but what I can't excuse is this: Shipbob was routinely over-reporting the amount of storage space required to warehouse my inventory, in order to charge me higher for storage costs. When I cleared out my inventory to use another 3PL service, I decided to dispose of the inventory, and they charged me more on disposal than it would have cost me to ship my inventory internationally. Seriously deceptive stuff. Claiming my inventory occupies way more space that is remotely believable - this is how they inflate their profits. Deceptive and unethical. Avoid at all costs.

### "Poor customer service"

November 21, 2017

1.0

Pros

If you live in Chicago it can be convenient to place things in your inventory. Just started to make changes to the web interface..

Cons

4\. It would take sometimes 2 days to ship out and get tracking numbers. Not as bad now.. But I still have to check your site to see if a order is going out and sometimes my orders can stay in processing stage for days and no one knows why... 5. No phone support... When I had a problem with orders I have to send a email and wait 24 hours. My customers have placed an order on my site and I can't just keep them waiting. No way to escalate problems.. 6. Sending out incomplete order, orders will be 1 of 2 and only one item is sent. I had to call the customer and apologies, then customer had to wait 3-4 days to get it the other item. Poor customer service is not a good way to stay in business... 7. Sending out wrong items..

### "Shipbob is so easy to use"

November 13, 2019

5.0

Shipbob user interface is great. Their connection with our Shopify store is seamless. Their customer service is fantastic. My only complaint is there is not a reasonably affordable way to dispose of expired products. The best option at this time is to pick up the product in person.

Pros

Shipbob has a great interface and is easy to navigate.

Cons

No issues with the software. Just one small annoyance is the table layout (inventory > products for example) column width can not be adjusted. If several products have a similar long name with just a difference at the end of the title, it will go outside the column width and can only be differentiated by mousing over the title.

### "Takes the hassle out of pick, pack, and ship so I can focus on marketing"

June 1, 2019

5.0

Pros

The ShipBob software is incredibly easy to use. It integrates directly with my ecommerce platform (BigCommerce), and once an order comes in – it gets shipped out almost always that same day (if its bought a little later in the day, then it will go out in the morning). I can pull reports out to analyze my overall shipping costs and spend, and decide how best to allocate my inventory throughout the warehouses. The noissue partnership is great as well, and now I have 2 stickers from them going in with each order!

Cons

I don't have any complaints. I needed a good 3PL software that got my goods out ASAP and picked, packed and shipped them like I would or better. These folks do that.

### "CHAARG ShipBob Review"

November 25, 2019

5.0

Overall our experience with ShipBob has been great, and we're glad we're using them!

Pros

It has helped us in taking shipping out of house, which has saved us a lot of time. We don't have to worry about shipping out the orders we use ShipBob for, which has actually helped our customer service since in-house we could not fulfill orders at the same speed. Customer Service for ShipBob is really quick, responsive, and helpful!

Cons

We had some hiccups with our orders where the shipping was being sent out in non-approved packaging and things were being shipped as just poly mailers for our products that weren't fulfilled through ShipBob. These things were quickly resolved though through chatting with customer service.

We’ve been working with Shipbob for a year now and have been very happy with their service. The integration with Shopify and Amazon is straightforward. Their analytics software allows us to have all the data we need to do inventory planning in an efficient way. Their technology let's us ship from multiple of their FCs which has allowed us to reduce costs and damages while not increasing operational complexity.

Cons

Before it was more challenging to understand historical inventory movements, but the new analytics software has fixed this by providing full visibility on daily inventory movements. Their software is always in continuous improvement.
