Pros What I liked about Infor is the ease of use for a management accounting position, it has great reports for day to day expenditure, payables and receivables. Cons My least favourite aspect of Infor SunSystems was the lack of overall year end reports for the P&L and Balance sheet. The system feels more focused on management accounts. Pros Infor enables multitasking from an accounting perspective. You are able to manage the books internally with ease, along with preparing and sending reports and creating invoices with a few clicks. Lastly, its ability to integrate with Microsoft products is a major plus. Cons While the dashboard has evolved over the year, there are some lags and systems that seem not to be fully merged, and as such, the wait time varies. Cons Our version was an old version of the system and unfortunately we could not afford to update it. Cons Its very very simplistic and often missing the stuff that I wanted to use. i.e. I needed to add things in system a and b then go back to this system. Cons It is a good thing that support offers a training but it gets confusing with building a report through Q&A if you’re not so techy with using excel and the system slows down if your reporting data is very heavy. I have used Infor to aggregate data and support the claims made in my campaigns. This data, cross-referenced with other industry data, has made our brand more visible and allowed us to demonstrate that the projects our company manages are efficient and profitable. Pros It is a tool with a lot of information that allows us to have a coherent financial management and has allowed me to identify trends and market patterns in different areas that my company is interested in. It has allowed me to create more convincing material backed by hard data. Cons I have not used it much, but I have not found any problems to report. Pros The general ledger is easy to use and the Q&A excel interface is very powerful for data going into and out of the ledgers. Using the cloud offering is great because it includes all the modules, allowing a know cost when expanding the use of the wider system. Cons It is very customisable so specifying this can be tricky. It is worth using somebody that knows the system very well to ensure it's set up correctly from the beginning. It provides users the laxity to link their excel to SunSystems using Infor Q&A to extract and design reports. Pros Its easy to use once trained; provides an interactive interface and offers users a wide range of functionalities. It has the Q&A function for Excel that enables users to interact with the system using Excel. I can design reports and extract financial transactions in Excel using the Infor Q&A. I can easily extract Financial reports from the system just by clicking a button in Excel (linked Infor definition). It provides an easy interface to create and amend the Chart of accounts and set up mandatory codes to avoid wrong coding. Cons The Infor Q&A sometimes runs very slow in Excel and delays the generation and completion of reports. It is also fast and interacts with other apps like COUPA but due to traffic on month ends, the system becomes too slow.
