Hub Doc makes it so easy to keep track of essential documents. Prior to this Receipts got lost so unable to verify correct amounts for accounting purposes, on that line being able to link directly into the accounting programme used means less margin of error. The ease of sharing documents with a few steps makes life so easy and timely.

Pros

Ease of Use, document management and file sharing, lessens the need to keep paper receipts. Makes keeping track of documents easier.

Cons

Sometimes customer service unavailable, but that is more to do with time zones than a fault of Hub Doc.

I love Hubdoc and find the value for money outstanding.

Pros

The data extraction and setting up rules to push the bills through to Xero automatically. Included in the price of Xero. Automatic storage of documents by name of suppliers. Notes added by the client attached to bills is also very useful.

Cons

Adding new accounts requires a dummy email address, which is strange. More complex bills need quite a lot of manual input, especially with CIS and multicurrency. Quite an outdated layout and feel.

It works well as a basic online filing cabinet and keeps documents organized. It would be better if it go back to the way it was.

Pros

It creates the folders for your documents and it extracts statements to csv files. The simplicity of the platform.

Cons

Hubdoc has changed since it stopped the fetching. Originally it was able to fetch bank statements. Searches are complex and do not always find the document. Some navigation difficulties within folders.

Pros

I like the way Hubdoc stores data in file folders similar to a windows/Apple document manager I like the tag feature so I can also highlight documents into other groupings without having to chainge the vendor name. I also love the reposting feature if there was an error when the item was posted originally.

Cons

Sometimes the AI is off significantly on the data extraction. I dislike that they no longer have bank statement direct links

Overall I was very happy with the software and when I was working as an online accountant, all my clients were subscribed to it for receipt submittal. I still use it for my personal businesses. I would highly recommend it for all small businesses that accumulate a lot of receipts. Cuts down on the paperwork.

Pros

I really like how the setup is easy and the integration with QuickBooks Online is smooth. I really like the mobile app and that you can upload receipts on the fly.

Cons

I was disappointed that the program does not allow us to setup suppliers on the fly that are in a currency other than our native one (other than the one setup as the "main" one in QBO). I also would get a bit frustrated when the syncing would randomly stop for the banks (but this may not be their fault).

Easy to use and set up. It is bundled with Xero which makes it very affordable

Cons

Great experience, easy to use, integrates with many providers to pull documents from.

Pros

Amazing concept, documents in one place makes reconciliations and audits a breeze. Affordable partner pricing makes recommending Hubdoc to clients a no brainer.

Cons

Receipt management for company paid cards and reimbursable employee expenses is lacking. Hubdoc doesn't read the receipts to determine which card was used and automatically allocate that receipt to X employee. Employees should be able to setup Hubdoc inboxes with their own email address to send receipts to. Feeds break often so if that could be improved that would be great as well.

Reason for choosing Hubdoc

Much easier to use, cloud based, pulls documents from sites automatically.

Pros

We implicated this solution for our document storage problem. This was out first document storage solution. Is easy to drop files into software or email into hubdoc.

Cons

Organizing documents into folders is a bit tricky, buy can easily search for and find what you are looking for.

I have used Hubdoc a lot. It streamlines my workflow and saves me time, and makes it easier to create a digital copy of invoices/receipts and then get them reconciled in Xero.

Pros

Hubdoc saves a lot of time with scanning receipts and invoices and getting them into Xero. It also means I have a digital copy of all my paperwork as a backup.

Cons

Occasionally, an email sent to Hubdoc doesn't make it or doesn't load correctly. Usually this seems to be how the email was formatted by the original sender.

Hubdoc makes receipt reconcilling and invoice processing much easier when updating cost mangers and cost reports.

Pros

Ease of data extraction when processing receipts and invoices, removed the tedium of data entry for dates/addresses or references and amounts.

Cons

I find adding new contact or suplier inneffiecient. Firstly by adding new rather than just inputting, and then doing again when publishing, ideally this could be extracted from the receipt or invoice. And I user has to input it manually, then it should be able to be done without the extra step of having to select the the add new button.

Pros

Aside from the auto fetching, OCR, the App, the support team and the configuration capabilities, my favorite feature is the ability to integrate transaction level receipts directly into bookkeeping software like QuickBooks Online or Xero. The ability to drill into an transaction and see the physical source document (in seconds) is an absolute game changer! I also love that they are Canadian company.

Cons

Sometimes the auto fetch connections go down, but the support team fixes the issue as fast as possible. I would also appreciate SAML based SSO in the future.

Time Saving , Reduces Errors, Allows me to work remotely.

Pros

I love that I can access HubDoc wherever there is an internet connection and go through my invoices. The coding makes it so much easier and faster to get through a tedious task. I have integrated HubDoc with Xero and having both tools synced together means that I can handle 90% of the bookkeeping for my business remotely. I also really like that invoices are stored so that I can access then later and not worry about paper copies taking up space. The text recognition is pretty accurate and HubDoc learns as it goes - saving time and minimizing errors.

Cons

Sometimes HubDoc doesn't read certain fonts properly and contacts are recreated multiple times. There doesn't seem to be a way to delete duplicate contacts which clogs up the list. Occasionally, document uploads fail which can be a pain, but this seems to be fairly infrequent.

Our financial data entry used to be extremely manual - too much manual entry. We eliminated 75% of our data entry in this area, which in turn was a huge result in business efficiency. We also reduced our paper printing by about 90pc; decreased turnaround time for vendor payments, and increased the accuracy of our books.

Pros

Very simple interface - one screen to get all your work done. It processes documents quite fast and does the job well.

Cons

Mobile app is limited with some of the features, not all of the web-based features translate across to the mobile app.

I have nothing bad to say about this software. Xero now included it for free in their basic package.

Pros

The receipt capture capabilities and the quick link between the mobile app and online platform is flawless. The feature is quick and you can capture, rename, and file within seconds. Data entry becomes a breeze.

Cons

More smart technology to read receipt information in the future would be great.

Liked it at first. Now more difficult with 2 step authentication.

Pros

We originally set up this service to manage our financial documents linked to Quickbooks. Its a great system that will go and fetch your documents and bills from different companies.

Cons

Now that 2 step authentication is a trend, they have not overcome that issue. With 2 step, the documents cannot be fetched defeating the purpose of the software.

My tax preparer loves that I am so organized with my receipts and statements. Instead of having to scan items into your computer and organizing items, it is all in the app.

Pros

Hubdoc connects easily to your bank accounts and your statements upload automatically. I love that all my receipts and statements are in one place and easily accessed.

Cons

I have not had any issues with Hubdoc at all. I have been using it for 2 years and it has been wonderful

Pros

I love being to send receipts to Quickbooks and having the expense already recorded there by the time I work through the bank feed. Clients can send receipts to Hubdoc instead of filling up my emil.

Cons

I don't like the price, it is only worthwhile if you have a decent paying client and they actually utilize it. I also wish they would allow you to send deposit type transactions to Quickbooks. The bank statement fetching doesn't always work either.

Reason for choosing Hubdoc

It is cheaper for a few clients. If you have 20 or so clients Receipt Bank is cheaper.

Pros

Simple price, unlimited documents, automatic fetch documents and statements from banks and other service providers.

Cons

Android application some times not working - you think you send document photo to HubDoc, but not... Hand written bills/invoices (and not only) not recognize very often. You need to control it every time.
