It's Easy: Training employees to use WiseTime is quick and painless. It's Essential: I can work all day and not think of billing one time. This frees me up to do more billable work throughout the day. An essential tool in my productivity. It Earns you money: Before WiseTime, our firm was losing thousands of dollars in small daily tasks like sending a quick email or checking the status of a shipment. With WiseTime, we are able to track every single keystroke and mouse click throughout the day for an accurate count of what happened that day. There is no forgetting about a small task that can be billed out. I will never work without WiseTime running again. It is as simple as that. Pros In addition to its automatic time tracking, Wisetime is so easy to deploy and use. Getting new members set up to use WiseTime is a 1 minute process without all of the clunky steps most software makes you do. Training new employees to track their time is a quick 5 minute process that lends itself to earning more money for your business. Cons There is only one thing I do not like about WiseTime. When tracking time, there are too many clicks that are needed to track. While I understand the thought process that goes behind why it is set up the way it is (tracking one item throughout the day all at once), there are those that track by the hour at the end of the day. That's while running several resource hogging apps and cloud servers simultaniously. When I am ready to open the WiseTime Console, It's easy to identify and group activities to client matters and I get the individual totals for each matter. Now I feel 100% confident in our true, honest billing. Backed with thorough activity logs, like window titles and the program being used. Cons I would like to be able to see the monthly or weekly total time kept for each "TAG", "Group" or for me that means which "Matter". I find it easy to use and that it does what it is supposed to do - help me recover billable time that would have slipped through the cracks. The UI is clean and intuitive and it does not interfere with my aging computer's performance. I recommend this software Pros I like how easy it is to enter my time and coordinate the automated time entries with my firm's billing system. I appreciate how it helps me capture time that might otherwise have been lost and makes it easy to organize. Cons I wish there were a better way to use it as an independent time tracker and better identify some of the entries it makes. Overall, these are minor quibbles. The software captures your time and alerts you when you return to your computer so you can add time for things were you doing away from your computer. Cons I wish the tech was better in terms of the integration with other software like Practice Panther and Google Calendar. It does not do very well pulling or recognizing client's names from Practice Panther and it cannot pull calendar entries from your calendar, which is a bummer. It is difficult to easily consolidate the information tracked The application occasionally conflicts with other software, i.e. does not allow the installation of IBM Rapport Security Software whilst active. Reason for choosing WiseTime I use WiseTime in conjunction with Todo.vu and the two work effectively together. Todo.vu allows me to consolidate the information in WiseTime and produce long term reports. It is seamless and very easy to record time. Cons The feature that I liked the least is when a pop-up appears when I am inactive for a period of time. It would often appear when I am reviewing a document that requires focus and when it comes up, it would break my workflow. We would just like to see it continue to improve Pros I like how it tracks your time in the background and the tags do a pretty good job associating the time tracked with the appropriate matters. Cons The AI generated entries need work. First, timekeepers should have the option to have the entries in other tenses, i.e., "conduct online legal research re matter" or "reviewed client email." Second, the time entries need more detail. There should be some sort of option to breakout the tasks conducted on one matter throughout the day in a single time entry.
