The app itself is fine for basic floor planning, but not nearly as functional as other alternatives. The real issue is their dishonest billing practices and awful customer support. Even when I followed their instructions exactly, I was still charged for something I canceled. Instead of fixing the issue, they just pushed the responsibility onto someone else. Definitely not worth the hassle when there are better apps out there. Pros The concept is interesting and the sales promise is as well Cons The subscription system is misleading, and cancellations don’t seem to be honored. I canceled my free trial before it ended, yet I was still charged. When I contacted support, they refused to take responsibility and kept blaming their payment provider instead of issuing a refund. Their customer service is completely unhelpful, just copy-pasting the same excuses rather than actually solving the problem. It honestly feels like they’ve designed the system to make it as difficult as possible to cancel and get a refund. Very patient and thorough they did not give up until I was sorted out. I love this app. If you do this for work I would say offer it to your customers to play with their layouts then show them what you can do it would be a powerful tool in that way. Also if you have any questions or concerns I am going to ask for \[sensitive content hidden\] you should too Pros I love how easy it is to use. I can make my own plans and share those ideas with contractors which is so awesome. I get to decide what I want to do myself and what I want to hire out for. I also get to see what’s feasible in my space before asking for the impossible. Cons I had a few glitches in the beginning but customer service was PHENOMENAL and sorted me out immediately. No cons for me. Maybe they could add pricing but that fluctuates so much based on market and date. I have used it for courses, for physical planning purposes and redesign of spaces in the school as well. Love it! Pros Customer service added free educational accounts for us so that we could use it for a zoo redesign challenge for the Minnesota Zoo. They were required to use a 3D design platform, but the free version was too limited so we were given free education licenses. The project was much more sophisticated and realistic as a result of using Planner 5D! Cons I wish it allowed the ability to resize without having to change the dimensions manually. I would like to be able to go to the corner of an object or room and increase the scale that way. When redesigning our office space, it made it very convenient to get a visual of the design before construction began. Although we haven't used it much or needed it for many projects, Planner 5D is something we will always come back to when needed. Pros Planner 5D makes it super easy to create custom floor plans and view them in both 2D and 5D. it gives you a great visual of what a room, building, house, office will look like before even starting the physical project. Cons We didn't use Planner 5D long enough to figure out if there were many known cons. It was used for a brief project a few months ago. I’m impressed that you can scan in a room and design it- this is something I’ve needed all my life for when I move, absolute game changer. Overall, it’s a great product and the customer service department has been quick and great to give answers/ solutions. Pros While straightforward and easy to use--90s software style--the best feature is the ability to switch from 2D to 3D. But that benefit is drowned out by the cons. Cons First, if you buy the software, the upgrade in functionality is not worth the money. You're literally stuck with Planner 5D's conception of windows, doors, and etc. Second, it is difficult if not impossible to efficiently create spaces to scale with the existing inventory. Third, Customer service is lacking. When I mentioned a bug / glitch in the online platform, they wanted me to prove it. Seriously? For the American market at least (this is an overseas company), this is a non starter.
