Pros

I like the option to add several languages to the same project and change within the same document.

Cons

Some of the languages I work with are not accepted. Moreover, the machine translation does not seem clear to know which was the last option and the best one.

Pros

Crowdin is a very convenient solution to manage large translation projects with multiple language teams. It has plenty of resources to ensure the project gooes smoothly and all necessary checks are put in place.

Cons

The interface is not the most friendly or intuitive for translators compared to CAT tools most professionals are used to. Browsing through the translation files can be a little complicated.

My overall experience was good because it was easy to use and the TM suggestions together with different machine translations included which can make a difference when translating sentences of 2-3 words like for an APP.

Pros

I recently (about 6 months ago) was invited to translate a project for a company in the telecommunications area (mobile phone and IT features) using Crowdin and had a very good experience. It was very easy to use, after concluding a set automatically could translate the next one without needing to go back to home page and it also offered TM suggestions which made the work easier.

Cons

What I liked the least was that I needed to write comment in every segment I had a question to the project manager so she could check it. As there were no segment numbers I found it repetitive and it took a lot of time to just write a lot of comments and when I got a comment again need to answer within the platform.

Easy to use, feedback and communications between translators and project manager works well, good overview of translations in other languages.

Cons

I've only used it as a freelancer working on projects managed by somebody else. As a solo contractor, I think taking on something like this would be a bit of a mouthful.

Pros

The XLF and ResX support is both very good. Crowdin works as an "editor" rather than a dictionary with exports to different formats. This is very important if you want the formatting of your files to stay exactly the same.

Cons

The difference between the full Premium product and the base product. They are separate so you if start with the premium you have to create another account for the base.

Crowdin helps a lot to keep the tone of voice by giving suggestions and storing translations in different languages. The two-eyes reading principle is the most important in communication and translation, Crowdin requires approval from a second person, this helps to avoid mistakes and miscommunication, which is a great advantage.

Pros

Crowdin has so many languages bundled in one place with such a huge memory of translations, without losing the overview.

Good, makes us keep track of translations for all our different markets, although we found that sometimes in some languages that we can't proofread our selves, we get feedback from our users that translations are off.

Pros

Ease of use, can just quickly login and update the strings that's missing translation on my language

Cons

The UI is sometimes a bit confusing, when finding strings and switching between iOS and Android. Sometimes get "lost" and have to search for some strings
