“The platform balances functionality and accessibility very well: the learning curve is short, the user interface is clean and responsive, and the file management system makes collaboration seamless. Although I have noticed occasional performance issues with larger projects, they don’t affect the overall reliability of the tool.“

“Sometimes, (unexperienced) users will flood strings with very poor translations that visually pollute the editor, or send a series of useless comments as problems to be solved, and then the proofreaders will have to repeatedly solve the problems and delete the suggestions, or just have to ignore them.“

### "Highly Recommend Crowdin for Translation Work"

June 1, 2024

5.0

I highly recommend Crowdin for translation work. I have already recommended it to friends who are using it for their projects. Of all the translation tools I have used, it is my favorite.

Pros

Crowdin is a fantastic platform that has made the translation process incredibly smooth. It's super easy to use, even for beginners, with a user-friendly interface that anyone can navigate. The website loads quickly, which is a huge plus when managing large projects. The machine translation feature provides helpful context based on work you have already done. Plus, the glossary feature ensures consistency across all translations, maintaining our high-quality standards.

Cons

The overall project management on Crowdin could use some improvement. The dashboard process, in particular, needs refining. It would be great to have more intuitive and easy-to-understand dashboards that clearly show the amount of work completed over time. This enhancement would make tracking progress much more efficient and user-friendly.

### "Good for crowdsourcing, although not the best for advanced managing"

February 26, 2026

4.0

I like Crowdin and I used it in the past to manage a multilanguage crowdsourcing projects, and also with some agencies, with good results.

Pros

I like the fact that you can easily manage multiple people translating, and export bilinguals files.

Cons

One thing I do not like very much is the fact that there aren't very advanced filters to keep track of bigger projects.

### "Easy to use as a translator"

March 2, 2026

4.0

Overall, I’ve had a good experience with Crowdin. It’s a solid tool with useful features, especially around AI translations and translation memory. It’s not perfect, but it works well for what we need.

Pros

I like that Crowdin lets you use different AI translation providers like DeepL and Google. Different tools work better for different languages, so having that flexibility is really helpful. It makes it easier to get strong first drafts. The translation memory is also a big plus. It saves time and keeps wording consistent across the product, especially for repeated terms.

Cons

The UI is okay, but it can feel a bit convoluted at times. It’s not always obvious where things sit or which setting you need. From what I’ve heard from developers, adding and managing keys can also feel quite clunky. It’s a bit frustrating that keys have to be merged into master before they’re available, instead of being live straight away. That can slow things down.

### "Crowdin, probably the best localisation platform"

March 2, 2026

5.0

Very good. I even had the opportunity to speak to the support team sometimes, and they were very friendly and easy to talk to.

Pros

There are several things I love about Crowdin. For one, over the 8+ years I've been using the platform, I've always found it's amazing how easy it is to collaborate with other translators across multiple projects via the discussions tab on each string. Whenever there's something going on, I receive an e-mail about it, and I can focus on getting things resolved. Fast and easy. I come from a software developer's perspective, and I have used Crowdin to create and manage projects (thanks to Crowdin's amazing policy of free projects for open-source initiatives). In this position, you're often faced with the challenge of introducing your user base and collaborators to the platform where they will be handling translations, and I can assure you that Crowdin has been by far the easiest and most intuitive space for regular users, who may not have any background whatsoever in localisation, to contribute their grain of sand towards translating a project. Pretty much every language on earth is supported, and if the language you want isn't there, the Crowdin team can evaluate whether it'd be feasible to add it to the main platform. Also speaking from the perspective of a project owner rather than a translator, integrating Crowdin with my projects using their Git widgets functionality has been an absolute relief. All the effort we had to put into maintaining translations via static files and complicated systems is gone, and we can focus on building software whilst our user base translates it! One could write a small book or documentation page with a few sections with everything good about Crowdin, so I would simply advice anybody who hasn't tried it before to simply go ahead and sign up! If you feel like translating is something you're interested in, then go ahead and contribute to a project you find interesting. I for one started using Crowdin because of Minecraft and haven't stopped since! Overall I think Crowdin has made many good decisions in time, and they continue to strive as probably the #1 localisation platform.

Cons

There are two specific things I dislike about Crowdin: 1. The overall restyling of the platform that was implemented some years ago. Icons and text borders started to become roundish; things were de-centred for no apparent reason... just, why? You could have kept it perfect! 2. The removal of national flags. To me as a translator and proofreader, this change has made the experience of finding a language incredibly painful. Now imagine how it looks for new contributors who see the project page for the first time and see a bunch of grey flags with random letters all over them... this really discourages people who may have otherwise stayed, having clicked on their own country's flag to take a peek...

### "Robust and Efficient Localization Platform"

February 26, 2026

5.0

My overall experience has been highly productive. Crowdin effectively bridges the gap between developers and translators, transforming localization from a manual bottleneck into a streamlined, continuous process. It is a robust, scalable platform that saves time and improves translation quality.

Pros

Crowdin provides excellent collaboration tools and an intuitive interface for translation teams. The seamless integration with version control systems, such as GitHub and GitLab, significantly automates the localization workflow. Additionally, the Translation Memory and centralized glossary features are highly reliable and ensure consistency across large-scale projects.

Cons

Configuring complex workflows and mastering the more advanced automation features can present a steep learning curve for new administrators. Navigating very large project structures can also feel slightly cluttered at times.

### "Good community first system "

March 11, 2026

4.0

Good community driven system to translate a service/software. You can pick desired languages and let volunteers from community to fill in missing translations.

Pros

Good user interface inside dictionary editor. You can also document each translation term with description and even image, so any translator that then do or review the translation have a good context.

Cons

If you want instant translation of you app - you can order it (even from different providers). The price of paid translations from professionals is quite steep.

### "A platform with Clean dashboard"

March 2, 2026

5.0

Overall, a smooth platform for localization. Clean dashboard. I'd recommend others to use this tool.

Pros

Crowdin is an easy-to-use localization platform with a simple interface and a gentle learning curve. It’s easy to move between segments. I used it for a South Asian language localization, and the suggested translations during the process were fairly accurate and helpful.

Cons

The platform has limits when handling Bengali punctuation. It does not recognize that the Bengali full stop (।) is different from the English period (.). Also, placing HTML tags within Bengali sentences is difficult because Bengali sentence structure is different from English.

### "The Key to Simple Mass Translation"

February 19, 2026

5.0

Pros

The simplicity of massive translation.Crowdin provides an editor where translators can see the actual UI of the app or website as they work.

Cons

It takes time to find the location of the translations in the side menus, especially in the different languages. Sometimes switching between projects and files makes it difficult for the user, and even I, as an experienced user, sometimes get confused until I find what I'm looking for. I would be happy if there was an option for automatic translation and its approval by the user.

### "A complete service for your app"

June 6, 2024

I really enjoy working with it so far and I have only a few complains

Pros

Crowdin was simple to setup, the UI is very simple and it has a lot of feature. Support always been here via chat when I needed some help. There are a few issue sometimes but overall it's a very complete, robust and useful tool for i18n in our web app

Cons

It is a bit hard to understand some complex flow and correct implementation with Crowdin. Like it would be very helpful to have some better documentation and explanation of the flow suggested by crowdin.

### "Crowdin: Seamless i18n Integration"

August 23, 2024

4.0

My overall experience with Crowdin is very positive and I'm happy to support it once my limit is reached.

Pros

I like how it offers seamless integration with my website with its GitHub integration. Also, my team of translators are very happy to use it when proofreading and making changes.

Cons

I don't like how it adds too many commits which I have to manually squash otherwise it pollutes the commit history. Also, it could use better onboarding tutorials or guides.

### "Unlocking Global Communication: My Experience with Crowdin Translation Platform"

May 22, 2024

4.0

Pros

What I liked most about Crowdin was its user-friendly interface and intuitive project management tools. From uploading source files to coordinating with translators and reviewers, the platform made the entire localization process seamless and efficient. Additionally, the built-in translation memory and glossary features helped maintain consistency across projects and languages, saving both time and effort. Overall, Crowdin's robust features and ease of use significantly enhanced our translation workflow

Cons

As for drawbacks, one minor inconvenience with Crowdin that could be improved upon is the integration with certain version control systems. While Crowdin offers compatibility with popular platforms, enhancing integration with a wider range of systems could further streamline collaboration for diverse project teams.

### "Great translation platform, legendary support"

April 26, 2024

5.0

We have used Crowdin to manage translations of our software and our whitepaper. Now we're looking at translating our documentation too. We crowd sourced the translations to 30+ languages by nearly 100 translators so far. Thanks to the GitHub integration, our open-source software codebase is continuously synchronized with our Crowdin project across versions. Finally, we have leveraged the Webhok and Crowdin APIs to build a fine-grained integration with our product, which will allow us to further gamify and incentivize translations.

Pros

Good UX, excellent support, great integration capabilities, and supports all kinds of translation workflows.

Cons

Because it's so powerful, it has a lot of settings that can be intimidating to administrate.

### "Great localization platform for SaaS companies"

September 1, 2022

5.0

I would recommend the platform to every SaaS company looking to penetrate the new markets and bring the applications / tools / software itself closer to the local users. Pricing is affordable and the tool can bring a lot of positive impact on the company and the products.

Pros

Crowdin is a great platform for translation and localization for every SaaS company. It offers the ability to simultaneously translate the content into several languages and also offers powerful tools to manage the projects. The dashboard itself is pretty clean and straight-forward for both project managers and translators. I have personal experience from both sides, so I will distinguish between them. Translators view: The translation is easy and the platform provides several tidbits to make it even easier. Variables are usually hghlighted using different colour, the dashboard provides the opportunity to raise issue and comments and get in touch with the project managers. Additionally, the strings leverage the power of the Translation Memory and machine translation, both of which help to automate the process and save time. Last, but not least, the Spell Check tool provides reliable results and warnings when the input is not correct. Project manager: Setting up the language is pretty easy and so is the work with the uploaded files and structures. Invitations to join the specific language can be sent via different ways. The approval of the translations is pretty easy as all the important codes and variables are highlighted. Bulk approvals are possible and so are the the bulk declines when the translation or structure are not correct. The project managers have the opportunity to set up a specific treshold point when the Translation Memory should be visible or used to user

Cons

Personally, only one negative comment about this platform is the missing highlight of some of the variables (not all), which makes the approval process a bit harder.
