“The platform balances functionality and accessibility very well: the learning curve is short, the user interface is clean and responsive, and the file management system makes collaboration seamless. Although I have noticed occasional performance issues with larger projects, they don’t affect the overall reliability of the tool.“

“Sometimes, (unexperienced) users will flood strings with very poor translations that visually pollute the editor, or send a series of useless comments as problems to be solved, and then the proofreaders will have to repeatedly solve the problems and delete the suggestions, or just have to ignore them.“

### "Strong Partner, Reliable Localization Platform"

October 27, 2025

5.0

is a strong choice for organizations looking for a modern, scalable localization solution and a company that values long-term collaboration.

Pros

At Paligo, we work with as a trusted partner, and our collaboration has been consistently positive. Crowdin offers a robust, user-friendly localization platform that makes managing multilingual content much easier for teams working across regions. Their focus on integration, automation, and developer-friendly tools aligns well with how we approach structured content and translation workflows at Paligo. The team at Crowdin is responsive, professional, and forward-thinking, and their platform is well-regarded by our shared customers for its scalability and ease of use.

Cons

Nothing significant to point out—our partnership experience has been very smooth. We appreciate working with the team at .

### "A day in the life of Crowdin"

April 20, 2026

4.0

For our organization's needs, offers a relatively simple translation management software. As the manager The automation between Github ensures new source (in our case, English) text flows into Crowdin. I like being able to view Activity as a manager of the content team, and also to keep an eye on our external translators. The translation memory saves us a lot of time (and sometimes money). It's getting better and better, but I feel it needs some UI love

Pros

Great value for money. I like that there are lots of integrations. Fast customer service in terms of requesting help - support team are quick and provide articles and step by steps in rea time.

Cons

I don't find the user interface very intuitive. I often have to read an article or google something to find it. Lacking an overall visibility of activity (for example, new strings added) at a high level without going into each individual project. Loading time in larger project is very slow, particularly when viewing more than one language at a time. I find it disappointing that I cannot add a style guideline without increasing to the Enterprise account. I consider that this should be available on any plan, particularly when we are now using so many AI assisted translations,

### "Solid crowd-translation site "

March 30, 2026

3.0

I'm a translator for Lichess and I'm using since almost ten years or so. While I like to help to contribute to an open source chess site, all the other systems and functions of Crowdin like Tasks, TM,MT, Glossaries are a waste of time.

Pros

I like the most the automatic mail notifications when new translations are available. This way I never miss any new translations.

Cons

All the eco-system around the core product, like AI translations (that never work), Context pages, all unnecessary at least for my use case.

### "Good for crowdsourcing, although not the best for advanced managing"

February 26, 2026

4.0

I like and I used it in the past to manage a multilanguage crowdsourcing projects, and also with some agencies, with good results.

Pros

I like the fact that you can easily manage multiple people translating, and export bilinguals files.

Cons

One thing I do not like very much is the fact that there aren't very advanced filters to keep track of bigger projects.

### "Crowdin, probably the best localisation platform"

March 2, 2026

5.0

Very good. I even had the opportunity to speak to the support team sometimes, and they were very friendly and easy to talk to.

Pros

There are several things I love about . For one, over the 8+ years I've been using the platform, I've always found it's amazing how easy it is to collaborate with other translators across multiple projects via the discussions tab on each string. Whenever there's something going on, I receive an e-mail about it, and I can focus on getting things resolved. Fast and easy. I come from a software developer's perspective, and I have used Crowdin to create and manage projects (thanks to Crowdin's amazing policy of free projects for open-source initiatives). In this position, you're often faced with the challenge of introducing your user base and collaborators to the platform where they will be handling translations, and I can assure you that Crowdin has been by far the easiest and most intuitive space for regular users, who may not have any background whatsoever in localisation, to contribute their grain of sand towards translating a project. Pretty much every language on earth is supported, and if the language you want isn't there, the Crowdin team can evaluate whether it'd be feasible to add it to the main platform. Also speaking from the perspective of a project owner rather than a translator, integrating Crowdin with my projects using their Git widgets functionality has been an absolute relief. All the effort we had to put into maintaining translations via static files and complicated systems is gone, and we can focus on building software whilst our user base translates it! One could write a small book or documentation page with a few sections with everything good about Crowdin, so I would simply advice anybody who hasn't tried it before to simply go ahead and sign up! If you feel like translating is something you're interested in, then go ahead and contribute to a project you find interesting. I for one started using Crowdin because of Minecraft and haven't stopped since! Overall I think Crowdin has made many good decisions in time, and they continue to strive as probably the #1 localisation platform.

Cons

There are two specific things I dislike about : 1. The overall restyling of the platform that was implemented some years ago. Icons and text borders started to become roundish; things were de-centred for no apparent reason... just, why? You could have kept it perfect! 2. The removal of national flags. To me as a translator and proofreader, this change has made the experience of finding a language incredibly painful. Now imagine how it looks for new contributors who see the project page for the first time and see a bunch of grey flags with random letters all over them... this really discourages people who may have otherwise stayed, having clicked on their own country's flag to take a peek...

### "Easy for beginners, fast and versatile for veterans - Crowdin is for everyone"

April 1, 2026

5.0

It's safe to say still is my favorite CAT platform. It is straightforward, OS and device agnostic, and super reliable.

Pros

is a platform that has matured a lot over the last few years. Fast, reliable, and user-friendly, not to mention the fact that workflow and its interface are consistent regardless of what platform you are on (PC, Mac, or portable Android and Apple devices). Taking care of urgent requests on your mobile device while you are away from the office is just magic, and Crowdin is at the top of the game in this area.

Cons

The way to add or edit term base entries has become slower and more complicated than before. It used to be faster and more streamlined.

### "Easy to use as a translator"

March 2, 2026

4.0

Overall, I’ve had a good experience with . It’s a solid tool with useful features, especially around AI translations and translation memory. It’s not perfect, but it works well for what we need.

Pros

I like that lets you use different AI translation providers like DeepL and Google. Different tools work better for different languages, so having that flexibility is really helpful. It makes it easier to get strong first drafts. The translation memory is also a big plus. It saves time and keeps wording consistent across the product, especially for repeated terms.

Cons

The UI is okay, but it can feel a bit convoluted at times. It’s not always obvious where things sit or which setting you need. From what I’ve heard from developers, adding and managing keys can also feel quite clunky. It’s a bit frustrating that keys have to be merged into master before they’re available, instead of being live straight away. That can slow things down.

### "Good community first system "

March 11, 2026

4.0

Good community driven system to translate a service/software. You can pick desired languages and let volunteers from community to fill in missing translations.

Pros

Good user interface inside dictionary editor. You can also document each translation term with description and even image, so any translator that then do or review the translation have a good context.

Cons

If you want instant translation of you app - you can order it (even from different providers). The price of paid translations from professionals is quite steep.

### "A complete service for your app"

June 6, 2024

5.0

I really enjoy working with it so far and I have only a few complains

Pros

was simple to setup, the UI is very simple and it has a lot of feature. Support always been here via chat when I needed some help. There are a few issue sometimes but overall it's a very complete, robust and useful tool for i18n in our web app

Cons

It is a bit hard to understand some complex flow and correct implementation with . Like it would be very helpful to have some better documentation and explanation of the flow suggested by crowdin.

### "Crowdin - a nice tool"

June 4, 2025

Good experience. Nice and easy to work with. As a freelancer, it helps to get the terms and revision updated.

Pros

The easy way to work as a translator. The automatic suggestions and easy review of terms. The automatic update in translations for coherence.

Cons

There is nothing that goes wrong when I'm using it. The work flows. But in the translation case, it could be approved automatically by the software and not manually.

August 28, 2024

5.0

My overall experience with is very positive. It offers what I need most of the time, and very seldom do I feel that I need more features. The UI/UX is great, and project management is fantastic.

Pros

is an incredibly smooth and user friendly tool that streamlines the translation process for freelance translators.

Cons

Due to its user friendly nature, it might lack some of the more advanced features that more advanced CAT tools have. Also, the report feature is lacking functionality, which means it becomes rather cumbersome to get statistics for invoice creation.

Overall, has significantly improved the quality of our multilingual user experience.

Pros

As a UX designer, has been a game-changer for our team. We use it to translate our software into multiple languages and fine-tune wordings. It makes it easy for us to manage translations and collaborate with our team and external translators. The integration with our workflow is seamless, saving us a lot of time. The support also has been wonderful.

### "Unlocking Global Communication: My Experience with Crowdin Translation Platform"

May 22, 2024

4.0

Pros

What I liked most about was its user-friendly interface and intuitive project management tools. From uploading source files to coordinating with translators and reviewers, the platform made the entire localization process seamless and efficient. Additionally, the built-in translation memory and glossary features helped maintain consistency across projects and languages, saving both time and effort. Overall, Crowdin's robust features and ease of use significantly enhanced our translation workflow

Cons

As for drawbacks, one minor inconvenience with that could be improved upon is the integration with certain version control systems. While Crowdin offers compatibility with popular platforms, enhancing integration with a wider range of systems could further streamline collaboration for diverse project teams.

### "Crowdin is a great value for large scale crowdsourced project"

August 24, 2022

5.0

Overall our experience with has been great, their customer service team is very friendly and helpful! Our translators enjoy using it and the only complaints I've heard have been occassional speed issues, but we're not sure if that was their own connectivity issues or Crowdin issues. My only complaint from an administrators standpoint is that it is very difficult to have any sort of feature requests addressed, so unless the request is already on their roadmap or is shared by their much larger clients, it probably won't happen.

Pros

is a huge cost savings compared to our previous software. We don't pay per translator access which is essential for crowdsourced translations and we only hit our string maximum after 5 years. The editor works well on a mobile device, which is key for volunteer translators to be able to contribute whenever they have time and does not exclude those who can only get online through their phones. Editor is robust and they're always adding great apps to add even more functionality. Project management is very simple as file progress/status is easy to track.

Cons

We would love for translators to see the status of their language for each project from their Profile view, so that they don't have to click into each project in order to see which one has work to be done. We also have needs for some of our volunteers to manage the permission of others, which was a feature when we started with , but they removed this feature 2+ years ago and we're still waiting for new permissions to come out to help solve this problem. I would love to see more fine tuned controls for Machine Translation integration. Right now if you wanted to use different engines for each language pair you're not able to do that.

### "Perfect tool to work on multilingual contents"

August 19, 2023

5.0

You can work concurrently. This is one of the most significant needs; undoubtedly, is at its best. The software can be translated located at a time. It does gives the completion status and you don't need followups.

Pros

I can list many. The best part is Auto suggestions from the previous content or from other sources. You don't have to translate the repetitive words or sentences again. It will suggest the right words accordingly. And it checks grammatical mistakes even in secondary languages like Tamil from India.

Cons

Nothing big on the downside. The search function could have been better, and the web page is dull. Please include some interactive and vibrant colors. Navigating to a previous page could have been better/

I'm using to translate LineageOS in Romanian. Gigantic project. Crowdin just makes it so easy to translate it. When I have something to translate, I'll get an email to get informed about it. I can see the progress on the Romanian translation, what strings I need to translate and I can save each translation very easily.

Pros

The UI, the features and the user experience are the best features you can have on .

Cons

There used to be a fast approve translation button which is no longer available or is hidden somewhere.
