It's given us the polish of a much larger company without requiring a dedicated IT person to manage it. That said, there's room for growth in areas where analytics would help me optimize strategy. Overall, it's a good solid investment that's paid for itself in keeping customers engaged while they're waiting in line. Pros You get professional signage without enterprise pricing. The screen management interface is actually flexible and lets me schedule content across several of my tv displays. Setup was refreshingly straightforward for someone with basic tech skills. Reliability has been solid; our screens run 12+ hours daily without hiccups. Customer support responds quickly and actually understands the technical questions. The customization options let me match our brand perfectly, and I appreciate being able to use custom HTML when needed. Cons Some of the advanced features have a learning curve that feels steeper than necessary like the UI could be more intuitive for complex multi-zone layouts. Documentation is sometimes sparse especially with edge cases or newer features, so I've had to figure things out through trial and error. Encountered minor bugs when using unusual media formats (webp images, certain video codecs), though common formats work flawlessly. The analytics dashboard exists but feels basic. I had to buy new streaming devices to make it work, and using Raspberry Pi's instead was ultimately cheaper and way less restrictive. Pros It was easy enough to setup and get installed and the basics of it appeared to work. Uploading media and having it update was quick and responsive Cons I could not get the internal URL to function and it would not connect to a hidden SSID network. The product was also not capable of displaying PowerPoint content directly and required a conversion, minor inconvenience. Switched from [Raspberry Pi OS](https://www.capterra.com/p/230090/Raspbian/) I wanted to test out a solution that already had the development done on the back end and management. Its bare-bones but that means it runs well on lower specced hardware and does exactly what it says it will. Pros Over many years now I have had excellent results using piSignage software, its reliable and lightweight meaning I don't have to spend as much on the latest hardware to run it. Cons It would be great to bring the ability to connect to Dropbox like Yodeck does for quick and easy online content updating for clients without needing to teach them a new interface and system. We did not decide to utilize this product due to it's lack of built in apps and the need for a 1 amp usb on a TV (Which the TVs we had did not have) Pros I really liked the price point, the open nature of the software, the ability to change things around, and the inexpensive hardware. The licensing structure is also very reasonable for what you get. Pros It was easy to setup and configure. There are many different media formats that can be pushed to the devices. The image that is already configured for the Pi works great and almost requires no configuration. Cons We have our Pi cluster in a separate server room which uses hdmi encoders to to the TV's. Dashboards are displayed and sometimes require login and it would be nice for some way to natively log into the devices other than vnc to use keyboard and mouse.
