But they do need to improve the project managament accounting. Pros It's very intuitive so you can start using the tool immediately. All answers can be found online. Customizable to company's needs. They are always adding new features and reports. We love it. Cons The project accounting is something we would need but the way it is set up in Zoho Books, we cannot use it so we found a workaround, which is still not the perfect solution. I am also missing cash flow prediction modeling. I am also missing the xml invoice export, for that I need another tool. Review Source TH Timothy H. For one, a new business, it is perfect, and makes me very happy. For the business I have managed for the last 15 years, it is tough to migrate everything over. Pros Zoho Books is simple to use, clean, and not bloated a million other things like the other big name product. Also very reasonably priced. The free version is good for many small businesses. Cons I am trying to use the free version, and there are just a few little things that it won't let me do. Will probably need to switch to Standard, but even that is less than 1/2 of what we have been paying the other company... Pros Zoho captures every aspect of my company's finances. The tool makes it easy for you to create estimates, and invoices, capture bills and expenses as well as monitor business health. The muti-user feature lets business track expenses and movement of funds between departments and business teams. Another incredible feature that makes Zoho stand out is their customer support. They have an amazing support team that responds quickly. Plus, they help you valuable suggestions to help you navigate difficult accounting operations. Cons Zoho does not have an offline capability. The software is cloud-based so you must have an internet connection to access the software. If you coorectly list all the items, according to the departments/ accounts, you will never have to hire an accountant. The app generates financial statements and invoice easily. Yo rbooks will be always balanced and keep track of waste. Cons if you dont list accounts accordidly, like owner withdrawal mixed with items on sales, your financial statements are going to be messed up. Not only do you have full CRM integration reducing sales time by 1000's of hours (really... it's as simple Lead->Convert->Quote. Clients then pay their quote in one click thanks to Zoho!) but the product as a stand alone is far superior. The layout, quotes, invoices, automation, reports... They've thought of everything. Since we switched my business has seen radical jumps in both staff productivity and conversion rates. As a small business owner (actually it's not small anymore!), time really is money - Zoho knows how to give you both. They have truly allowed my business to grow: The service we offer is a one time only purchase by most of our clients- so we need to get it right first time and shine above our competitors! Pros The cost is great and, for the features, it's really all I needed to do invoicing, keep track of expenses, and also access a quick Dashboard feature that gives me an idea about monetary performance. Cons I ran out of "vendors" with the simple version. I'm not sure why this is a limitation, but I simply streamlined how I was using the Vendor feature and used the Notes field for the actual vendor name. I didn't think the additional money was worth adding vendor names. It allows a lot of upload options - expenses, time sheet, sales, etc. You don't need training to understand how to use it if you have used another financial system in the past. Everything is easy to grasp and master - I have one bookkeeper who had ZERO training, but got everything right quickly. I also like the app that comes with it. It's not heavy on data or the phone memory. It comes with fancy picture taking tools that will allow you to keep a soft copy of your documents. The search function is also easy and quick. If you are not a highly complex company, this is a good starting database. Even up to medium complexity, I think it'll still work. Cons When I got Zoho Books for the company that I am working for at the moment, it didn't have the ability to report by project. I needed to create reporting tags and project at the same time, which is a real bummer. Recently, they made an upgrade that you are already able to do so on a project level. Reports are not customizable, and it's not really that easy to use. I needed to download reports from one place to another to come up with an accurate report. Sometimes, reports contradict one another. Been wrestling with the reporting part for a few months now. Review Source aG adam G. I saved money by moving over to ZOHO ONE. Pros I've been a faithful ZOHO BOOKS user for 9 months, the integration with all of the other ZOHO Products is shear GREATNESS! I love how other outside apps can be integrated as well. Books is great for managing the estimates, invoices, work orders along with the expenses of your company. ZOHO allows you to customize almost every aspect of the system. Cons Don't have high expectations of the support if needed. Some days they are on it, others they lack the luster of greatness or even normalcy. Don't hestiate to call email or chat, if its something simple, they may fix it immediately or tell you it can't be done, only to later find out it can. Cons Although the software is generally user friendly, the software at times requires some time commitment to get things set up the way I would like.
