Their has been no product failures or issues, and new features are regularly rolled out too. Pros The ease of usage. I never needed a customer support of any kind. The pricing is also appropriate for mid sized businesses. Cons The currency change features are complex. In the same way, making customisations to the invoice format can be a little confusing too. It has kept us very organized with our payment collection process. Pros The invoices module in Zoho Books and very well laid out and easy to use for people who are new to these kinds of platforms. Cons The payment processing application that we use is currently not integrated with Zoho Books which creates a bit more manual work for us. All other accounting users should start thinking how they can upgrade themselves. Pros Great value of money, extreme warm and good support, extremely easy to use without the need for any training or support intervention, Payment using Zoho to our vendors is so good, it cannot be overemphasized. Data management is so good, i am uploading all the invoices too in the application. Our customers can see their statement on a real time. It helps me keep my finances organized and makes my accounting tasks easier. It is dependable, easy to use, and meets most of my business requirements. Pros The simple user interface and ease with which invoices, expenses, and reports can be managed were my favorite features. It is great for small businesses and easy to use. Cons The fact that more advanced features necessitate higher-tier plans and that integrations with third-party apps can sometimes feel restricted or a little clunky were the things I didn't like the most. June 22, 2025 5.0 We slashed billing mistakes and gained better visibility into cash flow. Our audit was shortened as well, as a result of the clean reconciliation and reporting capabilities. Pros Zoho Books made our recurring invoicing a whole hell of a lot easier. We saved on manual tracking and reduced late payments with automated reminders and payment follow-ups. From the community forums, I learn that most of the world uses it. The Invoicing, expenses, tax compliance, collaboration and customer support are all top-notch! While there is still scope for improvement, for my use case, it does a great job!! Pros The great part about Zoho Books is the dashboard and reports. Dashboard gives a very good overview of the finances and the health of organization. Reports are a great way to break things down for more clarifity. Cons Pricing! I find it a tad bit expensive. For a company in a good shape though, it would be a great product but for bootstrapped start-ups, it is a little expensive. They have a free version but I needed some premium features for my use case. They also give out credits for start-ups which could be used for a year. You send an invoice, check a few boxes, done. It’s not trying to impress, and that’s fine. Pros Helps when you’ve got more than one thing on the go. Quick glance shows what got paid and what still needs nudging. Cons Some weird stuff with edits now and then. But it doesn’t get in the way much, which is what matters most really. I belive it is some thing worth investing. Pros It has got lots of good features and seems very robust. Overall I liked it pretty much. It has got a vast range of invoice templates and is customization seems pretty easy. Also they got their own software for most of the business use cases which could be easily integrated with this one. Cons I had a look at their community page and many of the answers are not quite understandable, which makes me little bit suspicious about their customer support. I just want to give a try of zoho books to see how good is zoho books. However, I've been able to accomplish everything I had in previous software. The most significant aspect to me, though, has been that Zoho offers a lot of accompanying software - i.e., not software that's needed to make Books work, but software with complementary uses - without seeming like they're trying to squeeze every last dollar out of me. Quite unlike Intuit. Pros It does everything that I need it to do, and for far less than it's competition. Cons There are a couple things that could be streamlined, although they don't lessen to actual functioning of the software. Then I tried Quickbooks Online - it was barely within my budget, but I liked the features - but then they increased the price (significantly) after only one year of using it. But Zoho has really fit the bill - all the functionality I need, and at a price that's just a fraction of QBO's. To be honest, I dislike accounting because of the amount of number management that is needed. It has, however using Zoho Books makes things lot simpler to do. For creating accounts receivable, it has been my savior because it is incredibly safe and you can be sure that the data you enter won't be compromised. Pros One of the easiest interfaces for creating estimates and invoices is Zoho Books. It gives enterprises flexibility by enabling the creation of estimates with and without GST. The main benefit is that it offers a range of plans at reasonable prices to accommodate diverse business needs. Cons Reports and invoice customisation in Zoho Books is limited. It is great for companies with project management, from estimate to sales order to purchase orders and Invoicing. ZOHO provides live reporting as your team takes the order through the sales process. Customization for our specific business was a huge game changer, as we didn't need to get outside help involved to make simple changes that made our work flow process better. It saves time and errors. Pros The live dashboard and analytics has provided great insight into our business profitability. The ability to have our project management and accounting systems tied into one saves on time and human error. The automation, workflows and custom fields are a game changer and allow any kind of person to be able to tailor the system to your needs. Whenever I am not able to code something myself, I send a request to the customer service team, and they are usually able to write the scripts for me. The ability to tie into Avalara and not have to worry about taxation is also a huge bonus. Cons I wish the Purchase Orders for drop ship customers were more obviously tied to the Sales Orders. There are ways to identify which POs belong to which SOs, but seems to be a little more complicated than it could be. I also wish there was a way to see how much we have invoiced against Customer POs. I also wish we could integrate our payroll with ZOHO, as ZOHO payroll isn't currently offered in Michigan. As a result we are having to do more manual entry for employee hours and journal entries for the payroll. Review Source Jose A. It is a software that is extremely helpful when it comes to setting up a workflow that will benefit our work environment, and it provides useful solutions to manage payments, invoices, and all the financial data that comes with it, it has made everything easier because we don't have to worry about manually processing every payment or manually creating and sending an invoice, with Zoho Books, all these things become simple and we are able to keep a directory with all the crucial information for payments and invoices. Pros Zoho Books is an accounting software that provides the best experience when automating the accounting workflow. It has a great variety of tools that help enhance the process and I like how once the data has been imported, it only takes a few clicks to process payments and other billing options. Also, the option to manage all invoices is pretty beneficial, it allows me to keep track of all the payments that clients need to make and it provides a place where I can keep track of these invoices every month and know how much people owe our business; thanks to this feature, it also allows me to process payments differently, because I can have all the data in this single place and it makes it easier to integrate with many payment options so everything is done quicker, providing a nice experience for both ourselves as a business and for our clients. I like that Zoho Books is very user-friendly and it was not difficult to import all the data in order to start using it. Cons I think that the customer support is lacking a lot, it feels like they keep trying to be responsive but still, they do take a lot of time to get back to you once reached out. Now at a glance, I can see money coming and I have an overview of how the business is performing. Tax season is no longer a complete nightmare as everything we need is in Zoho Books. Pros Zoho Books is extremely easy to use. I love that I now have 1 place where I do all my invoicing and that I can customise the invoices to my own branding. I love that I can send the invoice to clients directly from the software and then have auto reminders go out to the clients as well as send a Thank you when I receive payment. I also love the ability to link it to my business bank account – so I can reconcile my invoices and transactions easily. Come tax season my accountant can easily access all the reports she needs for any period. Cons At first, it was a bit tricky to understand how to link up my bank account but eventually managed to figure it out.
