It is a really simple way to test websites and apps without first needing to get out and buy or set-up any platforms other than the one you're currently using

Pros

Easily test across different browsers, platforms, version numbers of browser or version of OS No need to have physical devices, VMs, etc. Selenium support

Cons

Could be a little easier to use Could offer a free version that has fewer limitations (even if it has other advertising present as a result)

We use this to see if our web properties work on multiple devices and browsers.

Pros

The ability to use their Automate product to test on multiple platforms at once is a big help to see compatibility issues. I also like the live product to see issues in real time.

Cons

The price is high if you have many users or needs lots of testing minutes. Depending on the company this may be prohibitive.

Overall great product for debugging and QA, we are able to test the experience for our highest traffic device types and browser versions to make sure that everything is functioning fine.

Pros

BrowserStack allows you to test experiences across browsers. Since we do not havea library of devices to use in the office, this allows us to thoroughly check differnt device types, browsers, browser versions and more to make sure that we are delivering a good experience for our users. This is very easy to use and understandable, business teams are able to use at ease as well as tech teams.

Cons

As mentioned by others, somtimes it can take a while to load. The price is also pretty high for small teams.

Cons

Nothing wrong with it at all. Browserstack is a must buy.

### "Does the job, but costs a little more"

Browserstack do the job. It works well and the multiple OSes and devices \*are\* there. The experience is something about 8.5/10 in my scenario (real-time and bug testing). A good product.But with competition asking half of the price to provide an experience as fast as Browserstack or even faster, it may not be the final choice for some customers.

Pros

Being able to test multiple browsers on multiple OSes and devices is \*the\* feature.

Cons

In my opinion, the price is a little higher than the best competitor (Lambdatest) as well as the time to boot the VM and browser.Perhaps this difference is due to the fact that I used a free trial, but it is precisely in the free trial that the company has the opportunity to show its best.

Reason for choosing BrowserStack

In previews years I chose and used BrowserStack because it was the \*only\* solid choice. But more recently I'm not using it anymore by the reasons I previously stated (better competitor both in price and in experience).

Being able to test mobile websites and apps to ensure everything appears normally.

Pros

Excellent tool for testing websites, apps, and more in just about any and every environment, browser, and device possible.

Cons

The tool, although powerful and robust, can sometimes suffer from good amounts of lag, which makes use frustrating and slow at times.

My overall experience was positive, and once my trial ran out I opted to purchase the actual products that I could test on instead of continuing with browser stack. I like testing things quickly and accurately, as well as being able to have my console in one screen and my browser in another.

Pros

It is easy to switch the browser you want to test in. They have pretty much all the browsers available if you pay for the service.

Cons

The easy version goes away pretty quickly and it doesn't have all the browsers. It felt like the way the software works is using virtual boxes/machines, so prepare for it to be fairly sluggish. Nothing like using the real thing, But a nice workaround for quick tests.

Pros

We needed a service with a broad and deep range of browser support (not just the most recent ones, and across multiple operating systems) as well as a broad range of test platform solutions: Cypress, Selenium, and the newer Playwright. BrowserStack was the only service that offered everything in one.

Cons

It's not cheap! And I wish the dashboard had better ways of seeing tests. Right now, it seems like a stream of individual tests across multiple products without hierarchy. I was hoping for more of a hierarchical view with stats rollups.

Pros

Great variety of devices quick connection with remote devices capture and login features available in live

Cons

It's a little expensive but totally worth it.

BrowserStack really helps simply cross-browser testing, performance testing and cross-device testing. Moreover, it's easy to use which means minimal time spent on training when the tool is first adopted. I'd recommend this for any team working on feature development across web and mobile.

Easy to use and supports testing across multiple device types and browsers. Easy to use across manual and automation testing.

Cons

The app can be a little slow and times and disconnect.

The UI is very easy to navigate and you get to perform your tests on all devices and browsers you can imagine.

Cons

I did have some issue signing in, once I did not use it for a month signing in again was harder as I guess my password is not stored in the browser.

Multiple browser testing and debugging

Pros

Most used browsers are supported. Debugging is enabled and this has helped greatly with regards to testing and running automation on multiple browsers.

Cons

The product is a bit too pricey for small teams of testers .Developers dont tend to test their code on multiple browsers therefore companies are not willing to spend on monthly licenses .

Pros

Browserstack allows for testing in various browsers that you may not have on your local machine and includes various versions of windows in the case of IE testing.

Cons

Software is required which may not be ideal for all users who may require testing. The cost will stack up even for small features. The interface feels very slow at times.

Sometimes there is connectivity issue. It is not very quick to respond and sometimes load time is high.

Pros

With the large number of devices available in the market and with different browser it not possible to test your app on each and everything. Browser stack is a blessing 1- It gives you free trial and not for one time (DAILY 100 or 60 mins.) 2- Best for Running Automated Mobile Suite 3- Can Integrate with CI/CD pipelines.

Cons

1- User Interface a bit confusing at start. 2- You have to keep a close eye during configurations

Pros

What I like most about BrowserStack is that I can check my website on various browsers that I do not have installed on my computer. I work on a Mac and therefore do not use Windows browsers. Browserstack allows me to test my website against other browsers including older versions that some clients may still use. I also like that you can still check Microsoft Edge with the free version, although the monthly pricing for freelancers is reasonable.

Cons

I really like using Browserstack, it is a valuable tool when designing websites, so I do not have anything negative to say.

We use BrowserStack to reproduce issues that our customer that are having and ti test if the issue has been fixed! It is fairly easy to use and it allows us to use multiple browsers/devices.

Cons

I don't have many cons about this software, however, it does take a while to run/load and I find I am always squinting to see the screen. It would be nice if the screen was be bigger!

Providing the best quality assurance for clients possible!

Pros

That I can test all the browsers and browser versions. This helps out so much when doing QA. I don't need all the browsers installed on my computer but can still test each one and each version. This allows me to give my wide range of clients the best user experience possible.

Cons

Sometimes the software behaves slow and glitches out. I find myself having to restart multiple times just to get everything working.

While working for a client to develop a VOD platform we had to do testing for page load and flow testing on different browsers so instead of using a separate machine for all of them or using a VM we opted for BrowserStack and it made the testing and verification very easier.

Pros

BrowserStack provides a wide range of browsers access working on different OS which gives the user a large pool of testing environment to make the product optimized and useable across platforms. The mobile and web views for different browser at single point reduces a lot of effort on setting up a different testing environment. It provides some browsers that are not easy to get hands-on like Internet Explorer and older versions of chrome.

Cons

The page loading and refresh is slow and the resizing of the screen to check the responsiveness of the site is not that user-friendly. There are still a crash problem sometimes.
