Pros

I primarily only use it as a end user, so from my point of view it is very simple UI easy to access information and manage my documents, I helped implementing it and the HR team loves it as it streamlined their operations immensely from the hiring process all the way through to their first day and beyond

Cons

I think the teething issues have been the biggest pain point and being in the IT and not having access did not help as we couldn't fix any of their technical issues easily but this was more on internal teams wanting to minimize access, now that it is more in the org it is getting better and hopefully next year it will be at its optimal potential

We moved to our own ELMO offering in 2020 when we were sold by our parent company. The advice, expertise and on-going support since then has been amazing and we have developed a wonderful partnership with ELMO that has enabled us to build an awesome learning culture.

Pros

ELMO provides us with all the essentials to create a great learning & capability development culture. We use learning, performance and survey modules to provide a seamless experience for our people that supports their on-the-job development, continuing professional development requirements, performance and development goal setting and actions, and competency assessments.

Cons

The biggest challenge has been to modify the way we were doing things to fit the best practice model but on one occasion, ELMO was able to help us to customise the competency part of the performance module to provide us with great solution.

I really enjoy working with the Elmo payroll and HR Core products, very user friendly, easy to learn and apply.

Pros

It is a user friendly program between Elmo payroll and HR Core. The extra products i.e. mobile app is also user friendly for all staff to use.

Cons

As we currently use SWAG for staff to log on and off, as well as complete leave requests, i would really like them to be able to use something more compatible to link in with Elmo.

I find ELMO as great product and enjoy using the system. Our team attended the events like "Unlocking potential: Be Future Ready with ELMO" and loved their update and engagement with their customers.

Pros

I have been using ELMO for the last 2 years. We started with HR core and extended it to recruitment, onboarding, and other modules. We keep extending through other HR functions, and we are now in discussion of having ELMO analytics, reward, and recognition. I also love to see improvements and changes through various modules.

Cons

We realised that some data not transferable from ELMO HR Core to ELMO Payroll

Overall I have enjoyed using Elmo, there seems to be a big shift towards user engagement which has been very positive and they are open to feedback. Overall it fills most of our requirements

Pros

Modular software so it is highly customisable.

Cons

Takes some time to get used to how to use the program. Can be difficult to get pricing indications.

The system is tricky for people who aren't systems oriented. It would work well for corporate offices but without an app is tricky for organisations that do not have laptops or computer access for every team member. When the automation is able to be configured to your exact needs it works REALLY well.

Pros

Workflows are useful for automating onboarding. The ELMO team are quick to respond most of the time

Cons

The modules often don't mesh well with each other, there's no app and the system feels outdated and information is kept in several different places and can take some getting used to. however is being updated regularly

Overall the support has been good in our journey. We are still very early days so have a lot to learn but it has been a fun experience learning along the way

Pros

The ability to publicly recommend employees and rewards them. Its nice to see such a strong rewards program and seeing people acknowledge every ones efforts.

Cons

I wish they had instant push notifications instead of emails, as I do think we are in an era wear people respond to push notifications more often.

The single worst engagement we have ever had in 17 years of doing business. Avoid at all cost.

Pros

On face value it appears good, but in reality they claim it can do all sorts of things that it just can't do.

Cons

\- Highly deceptive sales process - they won't let you preview the product or test it in any way before signing up. - False sales; salesperson promised us features that don't exists - Completely non existent customer support - Outdated, clunky and buggy software - parts of it even rely on Flash, which hasn't been supported on Apple products since 2007 - They're quick to refer to their inhouse legal team when you want to question the contract and won't entertain ideas of leaving the platform BEWARE! We've been trapped and are now locked in for three years with a complicated and completely unusable product. It's an absolutely disgusting team of people who have no respect for the customer at any stage of the journey - they just want to get you signed up and then you're treated like garbage.

Hate is a strong word. Would prefer to use despise, which is frankly worse. Cannot believe that anyone would pay such a huge amount of funds towards such an underdeveloped project. I guess we got pulled in by the sales team that marketed with ' Yes we can ' to later find out that they could actually not, worse than that, that option never existed. Felt like a test dummy for Xero integration, with nobody really knowing how to fix the issue and is still unresolved 3 years later.

Pros

Forms provide flexibility in development. Employee management of documentation is easy.

Cons

Lost most of my hair setting it up, lost more trying to change how departments wanted it to run, and more when trying to sort out their software bugs for them. It is badly managed, badly put together hodgepodge of software that has no place in being part of the HR realm.

Before an HRIS was implemented, most records were kept in printouts and physical copies rather than in a centralized location. Since ELMO has been introduced, it is simple to look up an employee's past and see how their performance has been handled.

Pros

Superb Customer Service and Support Staff: Throughout both the pre- and post-implementation phases, I received assistance that was competent, fast, and effective. Simple Leave Request Form with Leave Balance View. And to conduct evaluations for supervisors to examine. The dashboard is also quite helpful for data retrieval.

Cons

One email will be sent upon enrollment in a new course. As a gentle reminder, I prefer many reminders. The employee data part is not as aesthetically pleasing as the rest of the screen display.
