Pros The OptimoRoute system is suitable for our small company and easy to use. It's a flexibility system with access to a mobile application. The customer service is excellent and since we began using Optimo Route, we have a considerable improvement in our deliveries of product. Cons Some times I can't plan the routes with all my drivers because it takes only 2 of them but is not a big deal. Maybe we have something to change in the profiles of the drivers. Our engineering team works daily on making sure we give our customers the best and shortest routes. There is a way to use both your drivers! Simply select the "Balancing" option under Planning Settings when you click the Plan Routes tab. You can choose the option to "Balance routes and use all drivers", and make other adjustments if you like. I have enjoyed how easy it is for me to use to plan the day for my employees. I love being able to track my employees throughout the work day and know when they should be expected back Pros The website is easy to use. I am able to complete a daily schedule for my employees in a matter of minutes. I am also able to track their progress easily throughout the day which is helpful in planning. We are building a custom app around their routing engine, and the lack of administrative API endpoints forces us into clunky, manual workarounds for onboarding. It's great for basic route planning, but the API needs a major overhaul to support real scalability. Pros The actual route optimization engine is very powerful. Once you finally get your data and fleet configured in the system, it handles daily planning, order pushing, and live tracking reliably. It's a solid operational tool for day-to-day dispatch execution Cons The REST API is severely limited and not developer-friendly for administrative tasks. The biggest roadblock is that you cannot programmatically create or import new drivers or vehicles via the API. Even for a brand-new driver, you are forced to break out of your custom app and manually use their web dashboard or CSV upload to build their profile before the API can interact with them. March 11, 2025 5.0 We've been using OptimoRoute for 4 years now. It has saved so much time in routing and mapping. The ability to group stops and reorder routes is so helpful. Even simple things like being able to add a substitute driver and switch the route over same day has been a game changer. Speaking of, it makes it easier to hire new delivery drivers since the app makes their job that much easier and more direct. Pros OptimoRoute has saved us SOOOOO much time! That's my favorite part but it's also helped by being able to track delivery times and monitor our drivers. The algorithms that plan the routes are great! Cons Hmmm hard to think of anything bad. I will say I wish there was a quick shortcut to make last minute changes without having to deactivate/renumber a route. I find the platform really easy to use. It gives clear messages to customers and the GPS works well for the drivers. Pros The platform is really easy to use, especially when setting up the subheaders correctly. We have various amounts of data that our drivers need to use, which fit in seamlessly with the platform. It helps create route efficiency and increases productivity. Cons One issue is that it doesn't give to much variety when trying to use different types of vehicles. Pros Optimoroute gives me an all-inclusive look into the daily, weekly routes of all of my drivers. I have sight as to location, completion, and accuracy throughout each day. The help desk has been amazing assisting me with functionality and planning for growth. Cons I can't really say there was something I did not like, to start it is a little much to take in. I liked that they came out to the office to help me set up and get the basic functions going. Cons There are instances where we need to run additional drivers on certain days and the system currently does not support to add ad-hoc drivers, you need to purchase min. a full month of membership for the same.
