### "The gold standard for collaboration but AI is making it bloated."

February 9, 2026

4.0

Overall, Google Drive is still the Gold standard for collaborative working and writing. However, the AI has made the software bloated and difficult to navigate. Every task now has an AI popup and there's no way to turn them off.

Pros

Every writer I know uses Google Drive as a collaborative tool. It's great for editing documents together and you don't have the problem of "version control." I love that you can see the revision history so when changes are made you can understand who made them and why. It's so intuitive to use and the cost is negligible.

Cons

Organizing files in Google Drive has always been somewhat of a nightmare and the AI components make it so much worse. I can't find what I'm looking for and I spend too much time just telling Google that I do not want to use AI for basic tasks. The Gemini features are just making basic use so bloated and difficult to use.

### "Reliable cloud storage and collaboration hub for a growing property management business"

March 25, 2026

5.0

Overall, Google Drive is a dependable, everyday tool that simplifies document management and collaboration for our property management business. It gives us confidence that critical files are backed up, easy to find, and simple to share with the people who need them, which is why I’m happy to recommend it to other small and mid-sized real estate or service businesses.

Pros

As a property manager at Minikaal Corporation, Google Drive has become the central hub for our leases, owner reports, inspection photos, and vendor documents across multiple properties. The ability to securely store everything in one place and access it from any device has reduced our dependence on local computers and helped keep our operations running smoothly even when we are on-site or traveling between units. The biggest pros for us are real-time collaboration, simple sharing, and integration with other Google tools. We regularly collaborate in Docs, Sheets, and Slides directly from Drive, which makes it easy to work with owners, tenants, and bookkeepers without sending endless email attachments. Sharing links with permission controls (view, comment, edit) is intuitive even for less tech-savvy clients, and the search function makes it fast to find the right lease or invoice when we are on a call. The storage is reasonably priced as our portfolio grows, and team/shared drives help us keep company files separate from personal ones.

Cons

A couple of areas that could improve are storage management and offline use. As we add more photos, videos, and scanned documents, it is easy to run into storage limits and then spend time cleaning up or upgrading plans. Offline access works, but it can be a bit clunky to manage across multiple devices, and new team members sometimes need guidance on how Drive syncs to their computer.

Pros

Essentiel workspace ecosystem. Easy to use interface. Overall handy product with a fast loading time.

Cons

The main bad aspect is the search bar, which is also a highly important one -- the most important and critical. It is difficult to find the documents we need.

### "A simple tool that just works"

December 17, 2025

5.0

Google Drive has been a consistently reliable tool for both personal and professional use. Real-time collaboration, easy sharing, and seamless access across devices make everyday work faster and more organized. It removes a lot of friction from teamwork and content creation, which is why it remains my go-to platform.

Pros

The free plan is generous and genuinely useful. Sharing files, collaborating in real time, leaving comments, and tracking changes all work smoothly in a single document. It’s extremely easy to use and makes teamwork feel natural. Having everything accessible in one place for both work and personal use is a big advantage. I never used customer support, but Google is always amazing and replies very fast.

Cons

As projects and shared folders grow, file organization can become cluttered and harder to manage. Permission settings are powerful but not always intuitive, especially when many collaborators are involved.

### "Reliable Backbone for Document Management and Operational Workflows"

April 9, 2026

5.0

Overall, Google Drive has been a core component of our digital infrastructure. It enables efficient collaboration, secure storage, and easy access to company data across multiple projects and teams. It works particularly well when combined with other tools to build automated workflows and document management systems. While it is not a full document management system on its own, it provides a very strong and reliable foundation for building scalable operational processes.

Pros

Google Drive is extremely reliable and essential for managing company data and documents in a structured way. It integrates seamlessly with tools like Google Sheets, Forms, and third-party platforms, making it ideal for operational workflows. We use it to store site documents, delivery notes, invoices, and automated uploads from forms, which creates a clear audit trail and centralised access. The ability to control permissions, share files easily, and access everything from any device is a major advantage.

Cons

Managing large volumes of files and folders can become difficult without a well-defined structure. Search works well, but organisation still relies heavily on manual folder management. There is also limited native functionality for advanced document control, such as version enforcement or structured workflows, which sometimes requires external tools or internal processes.

Reason for choosing Google Drive

Google Drive was chosen due to its seamless integration with the Google Workspace ecosystem, including Sheets, Docs, and Forms, which are already widely used within our operations. Compared to alternatives like Dropbox or OneDrive, it provides better collaboration features, real-time editing, and easier file sharing. It also offers a more intuitive interface and simplifies workflow automation when combined with other tools, making it more suitable for managing operational processes and documentation.

### "The most convenient cloud storage available"

March 26, 2026

5.0

Google Drive's convenience and pricing cannot be beat. Whether you're a professional desktop user or you use Gmail personally on your phone, Drive is an essential tool for handling and backing up your documents.

Pros

Google Drive is easily one of the cheapest and most convenient cloud storage options available. If you are a Gmail user, Drive cannot be any easier to use whether it be on mobile or desktop. Google's integration with Docs and Sheets makes editing documents and spreadsheets incredibly easy too. Drive is used daily with my company to collaborate and share important forms between departments.

Cons

Google is not shy about about lack of privacy with Gmail and drive. It isn't the most secure option. Their customer support won't even touch the subject. If security and privacy are your highest priority, you'd be better off created your own NAS storage.

### "The Future of Collaborative Online Work"

March 9, 2026

5.0

At the end of the day, the constant updates that Google Drive does to maintain its relevance in the workspace are more beneficial that harmful. It keeps me up to date with technological advancements because it so clearly outlines changes that are being made to the interface. As a user who prioritizes understanding a quickly growing world, this is increasingly important. Google continues to innovate and adopt popular functions, so I never feel left behind.

Pros

Google Drive is invaluable in so many aspects of my day-to-day life. It allows me to easily transition between work and personal life all within the same platform. I can organize and share files when needed, save documents to be accessed online from any computer, and manage any of Google's primary products in one convenient space.

Cons

The recent integration of AI into Google products with Gemini has felt altogether unnatural and early. I can appreciate some aspects of the assistance that artificial intelligence provides, but I've had issues recently that are entirely due to the inclusion of this new feature.

### "Great versatile platform all around"

April 1, 2026

5.0

Very good, able to use it for so many reasons, drawings, projects, photos, editing and instant access for personal and work reason. Would always use it and highly recommend it. Keep up the great work Google!!!

Pros

Able to access my files anytime , anywhere so I don't need to Carrie usb drives around anymore. Using it for work and personal reasons. Great for company sharing documents with different, the cost is fair for company and worth it.

Cons

sometimes files dont sync properly and have issues with the desktop app sometimes not working due to showing update required but after I do the update of the app, it still shows the same message. Can be a bit buggy sometimes. Support is not always as fast as you would like, most of the time it would just refer you to a guidance doc online.

### "Immediate Access Anywhere On Any Device"

March 26, 2026

5.0

I love that Google Drive isn't limited to my PC, but can be accessed from anywhere. I have used shared drives to share materials with my team, as well as regional partners across my field of public health.

Pros

I love the entire Google Suite, but my favorite part is that I have access to my files and projects across all my devices, whether on the go, at work or at home.

Cons

There was a bit of a learning curve at first in figuring out shared files, folders, but once I understood, it's so helpful in sharing resources with my team.

### "A simple easy all device access way to store and keep up with all your files, pics and more"

March 5, 2026

5.0

I pay for an upgraded Google Drive (Google One) because I take a lot of pictures and capture a ton of videos on my phone- it auto back ups to the Drive, for me to access later. I roll files in and out across multiple devices, which keeps my storage on my phone and laptop free, and transfer a back up from my Google Drive to an external T-Drive. It's smooth and effortless and gives me access to everything I need, no matter what device I am working on.

Pros

I have access to all of my files across multiple devices, which allows me to work on what I want, where I want. I use my phone a lot, and capture a lot of data that I may want to use later. Pics, ideas, a name to add to Sheets inside the drive to start an automation. I can upload it to my Google Drive, then access it later when I'm at my computer again. That's a huge plus.

Cons

I am not the biggest fan of the way it's organized or the way it autodefaults to how it presents files. I've tried variations of the way it shows me "views" but it doesn't feel as simple as it could be. This makes me have to search by name or date to find stuff, some times.

### "A Massive file system always in your pocket. What more do you need?"

November 14, 2025

5.0

I would be lost without it. I never think about file space; always just right to Google Drive and I pick everything up wherever I am. No matter if it's on computer, phone, or iPad. Once you have it integrated into the file system, it's totally natural to use on a computer. It's so powerful to have your whole file catalogue with you through the mobile at all times. I can't understand why you would not use it?

Pros

It works seamlessly across platforms, mobile and desktop, and operating systems, especially when downloaded on PC and it's part of the file system

Cons

The PC Google Drive app tends to crash or stop working every two or three days. Very annoying. Sometimes I have to reboot to get the whole thing working and connected again

### "A Total Game-Changer for Document Management"

November 12, 2025

5.0

It's been a gamechanger for me and is also widely used. I can link to the drive documents or download them which is wonderful. It's just a no-brainer for business professionals!

Pros

Google Drive has been a gamechanger for me these past few years. I used to have everything on my desktop computer through Microsoft applications, but it would constantly eat away at my storage space and I couldn't access it anywhere without my desktop. I love that Google Drive is so versatile, with so many applications. It has a great data storage capacity even on the free level, and I love that I can personalize my settings if I want to keep my documents private or share with someone else. The app itself is user friendly and makes it easy for me to find my documents on-the-go.

Cons

The app itself is great but you will have to download the individual applications as well to open up the documents, which eats up your storage space. But overall, it's a fantastic resource and can travel with you.

### "Easy to Use and Share"

December 4, 2025

5.0

The experience in total is very seamless and is most useful when interacting with contractors or other firms that are smaller because they can access these files easily whether or not they are in the Google environment.

Pros

Generally the ability to quickly navigate between the file directories, keep shortcuts, preview files, are all welcome. The ability to use sharing inside and outside of our organization made it a lot easier to collaborate on documents instead of sending them back and forth.

Cons

There are some times where, if loading images, it loads slowly because it's rendering the whole photo as opposed to rendering in lower definition version first.

### "An Irreplaceable Tool for File Organization and Sharing"

December 22, 2025

4.0

Having utilized Google Drive for a long time and experimenting with other file storage options, I find Google Drive irreplaceable. I just wish I could toggle foldering on inside of the various Apps.

Pros

I love how easy it is to manage items and implement my own nomenclature inside of Google Drive. In addition, managing sharing permissions is simple. There are also great add-ons for business utility, as well and the ability to code your own add-ons. This can be useful for things like permissions expiring for a user after a certain number of days.

Cons

Drive will hold all of your items across your workspace and have foldering and nomenclature, but if you navigate to the other apps (for example, Sheets) you lose access to the foldering that was present in drive. It means you erally have to navigate using Google Drive only - all-in-all not a huge drawback.

### "The Support of the Drive"

December 8, 2025

5.0

Overall my experience with Google Drive has been a good one. I am able to keep my separate documents in My Drive and all of my shared work related documents in the Shared Google drive. Helping to create a clean digital workspace.

Pros

Google drive has proven to be a reliable system to use for storage. We have been able to manage a number of legal documents as well as transition all of our paper employee files to digital files to save space and effort. We are able to share specific documents and collaborate with other teams on editing new policies and sharing information.

Cons

Initially it took time to know that we could trust Google Drive with our important HR documents. Prior to transitioning all of our employee files we were hesitant and afraid to lose employee information as many documents cannot be duplicated and need to remain in their original form.

My overall experience with Google Drive is fantastic! I use google drive more than I use my desktop storing options because it's just easier to organize everything.

Pros

I like how easy it is to create folders and organize them. I also like how it is linked to the docs and sheets that I'm working on, so it's super easy to make sure they are saved.

### "Google Drive is simple, reliable, and built for collaboration. Great for personal use or business."

December 27, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Google Drive has been wonderful and consistently positive. It strikes a great balance between simplicity and powerful functionality, making it easy to store, organize, and access files from anywhere. The ability to smoothly store everything syncs across device. whether switching from my phone to my laptop or collaborating with others in real time, the transition is seamless. The Note Taking and Text Editing feature and collaboration. The integration with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides turns Drive into more than just cloud storage—it becomes a complete workspace.

Pros

What I love most, Google Drive stands out for many reasons but mainly because it simply makes storing and sharing files feel effortless. The feature I appreciated most is how seamlessly everything syncs across devices. Whether you are on my laptop, phone, or tablet, my files are always exactly where I left them, updated in real time without me having to think about it and provide great customer support and value for money. Love the note taking and text editing feature and collaboration.

Cons

What did you like least about Google Drive, while Google Drive is incredibly convenient, there are a few areas that can be challenging like limited offline reliability, storage fills up quickly. Occasional slow loading large files or folders with many items can take a while to load, especially on slower connections. at times:

### "Reliable storage with easy sharing"

November 29, 2025

4.0

I’ve used Google Drive for personal and business purposes. It’s easy to organize files into folders and keep things separate. Sharing links works well for clients and coworkers, and it avoids sending long emails or attachments. Customer support isn’t very direct, but most issues I had, I could solve by checking FAQs or community posts. Overall, it’s dependable and simple enough that I feel comfortable using it every day.

Pros

Google Drive makes it really simple to store files and share them. I like that I can access everything from my phone or laptop, and I don’t have to worry about losing documents. Collaboration is great, multiple people can edit the same file at the same time, and I can see changes instantly.

Cons

Sometimes the search pulls up older versions of documents before the current ones. Large files can take a while to upload, and the storage fills up faster than I expected, especially when working with photos or big PDFs.

### "Totally dependent on it! Great for professional work. "

December 18, 2025

5.0

Overall, it’s reliable, simple to use, and extremely convenient for both personal and professional work. We love it!

Pros

What I like most is how easy it makes storing, accessing, and sharing files from basically anywhere. The real-time collaboration is a huge advantage—working on the same file with others, seeing changes instantly, and leaving comments saves so much time and effort! It’s well-organized, integrates smoothly with Gmail, and keeps everything synced.

Cons

What I like least is that organizing files can get messy over time because the folder structure isn’t always intuitive, and finding older files sometimes takes extra effort. Also, offline access can be limited, and syncing issues occasionally occur, especially with large folders or files.

Cons

### "Reliable cloud storage and collaboration platform"

December 22, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Google Drive has been excellent. It has improved team collaboration and document management in our offshore hiring environment. The platform is reliable and integrates well with the rest of Google Workspace, supporting our productivity and enabling seamless remote work.

Pros

Google Drive provides secure and scalable cloud storage with seamless collaboration features. Its integration with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides makes it easy to create and edit documents in real-time with team members. The interface is intuitive and accessible from any device, and sharing files with colleagues or external partners is simple. The version control and offline access options are also valuable.

Cons

As the file library grows, it can become challenging to organize and find documents without a rigorous folder structure. Large file uploads may take time depending on bandwidth. Advanced admin features and increased storage require paid plans, which may be a limitation for very small teams.

I love the managing of all of my documents, and I love the data storage because I accumulate a lot of files.

Cons

I use to have issues with the lack of storage because I accumulate a lot of files but now it gives you an option to enlarge more space for you to use or have for those reasons.
