I've used it for several years with many different people. It's been a great help in getting access to file that may otherwise not been available.

Pros

It is a very cost-effective option of businesses or individuals to have the ability to share and collaborate on documents and other work.

Cons

We use it with several vendors and when they send me a document because they are sending it to my work email, but my log-in is set to my personal Google account, it requires requesting permissions or logging out and back in. There may be a way around it but that is beyond me.

Pros

Google Drive makes file sharing and collaboration with team members very easy for me because everyone is already familiar with Google. I like that how I can access my files from anywhere and everything is synced.

Cons

Sometimes the desktop sync app lags when dealing with large files. And storage fills up very fast because of Gmail and Google Photos.

Pros

What I like most about Google Drive is that it's very predictable. I feel like I'm never in for a surprise when working with Google Drive-- I always know what to expect. The UI is really intuitive and sleek. My team and I have been using it for years, and we really love it. Document management is a breeze, as long as you have a good, dependable system of tracking and auditing your process documentation and storage of data.

Cons

The only thing that I don't love about Google Drive is that I feel that the search capability could be stronger.

Been running Google Drive with Gemini and the whole Google doc suite to keep my files in check. Dead simple to use and there's a heap of tricks in there I haven't found anywhere else. Big fan of NotebookLM too, that thing's something else.

Pros

Love how it works just like a regular file manager, spin up folders, nest 'em no sweat, nothing fancy about it.

Cons

Free tier's pretty much just stingy on storage, that's really the only gripe. Apart from that you can hook Gemini and NotebookLM right in, works a treat.

Overall, a great experience and very happy to use this cloud option. You can tie it across Gemini's AI model and other Google software to make usage easier.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use. You start with a free 15GB of cloud storage for any use! It keeps my important family photos safe.

Cons

While it is a good cloud option. It does like some features I'd like to see; better organizational tools would be nice.

Pros

Being able to share files across our company is critical. Since we use Gmail and Docs, this integrates very nicely.

Cons

Every so often I have a hard time getting the Drive to sync/update with a team member that just saved to the drive. This is not often though.

Overall, Google Drive offers a dependable and efficient solution for file storage and collaboration. It is well suited for day‑to‑day business use and supports flexible, remote ways of working. While governance and organisation need to be managed carefully, it remains a widely adopted and practical tool for teams.

Pros

Google Drive provides easy and reliable file storage with strong collaboration capabilities. Sharing files and controlling access is straightforward, making it simple to work across teams. Real‑time syncing and integration with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides) improve productivity and ensure everyone is working on the latest version of a file.

Cons

File organisation can become difficult to manage at scale, particularly with multiple shared drives and inconsistent folder structures. Version management and ownership visibility are not always clear, which can create confusion. Performance may also slow down when handling large volumes of files or complex shared environments.
