This is a SaaS solution that deserves their place in the market, and we are excited to see what the future holds. Pros As the Managing Director for an award-winning agency, we are always looking for new additions to our tech stack. Site Guru was one of many options that we considered as an alternative (and future replacement) for SEMrush, and we were without doubt positively surprised. This really is one of the best options available for hands-on SEO, and it will be exciting to see future developments. Cons Leaves quite a bit to be desired compared to SEMrush, but that is not a fair comparison. Reporting is crystal clear and easy to transmit to my SiteCare clients. The tool is also nice to work with, free of frustration. Pros It gives search engine insights in an elegant and user-friendly way. The tool is nicely structured and the app is taken care of. Also, the reporting suits various needs, without enforcing elements to be included. The team also understands what real SEO is about. Cons It only integrates with Google Analytics for insights into traffic. The tool does not depend on it, however. But adding an integration with a privacy-first tool like Simple Analytics would certainly be a bonus. It also analyses the content of the pages to generate titles and descriptions, all that boring stuff. It monitors backlinks so you don't need to use a different app for that. Pros As a design professional who builds websites for clients, I needed a tool that allows me to offer the value of on-page SEO to my clients, but I just wasn't willing to pay hundreds of dollars per month. It does this at much lower cost, especially if you are able to take advantage of the lifetime subscription offer. Cons My only issue with SiteGuru is that searches for the business name take up space as top keywords. It's great to work with a client that has that kind of reputation and name recognition, but that's not a helpful keyword, so a nice feature would be a way to hide or disregard all keywords containing the business name. Also, if the SG team was to apply their talents to an integrated keyword research tool for a similar outstanding value, I would sign up! The keyword tracking, optimization of headers, meta tags, alt tags, and descriptions is very helpful when churning out content. The learning curve is minimal with the easy to navigate interface and dashboard. Cons I would liked to have had many of the same reporting functions for competitors. Once you find out what keywords you're missing, you can load them and track those suggestions. Pros It has the clearest interface out of all the SEO page rank tools I've tried (and I've tested a lot!) For each of the keywords, it shows exactly which page on my website has the highest rank. And then for each page, it shows all of the keywords that page ranks for, and the position trend over time. The Focus Keywords section shows the searches per month, page ranked, average position and recent change, and gives tips on how to improve each page. Other really useful features include: Click through rate Competing content (to avoid keyword cannibalisation) Low hanging fruit (highlights what can be done to make the biggest improvements with the least effort) New keywords Lost keywords Content requiring attention Technical elements such as Indexation, Sitemaps, Canonical URLs etc Cons It isn't a fully comprehensive SEO solution e.g. it doesn't check backlinks. But what it does, it does exceptionally well, and I use a different SASS for checking backlinks. When we scan our project, in the results it makes several recommendations. Some of the recommendations it showed me and has improved my web page are: - Shorten the description of several of my pages because they were too long, and best of all, it makes recommendations on what the description should be. - Other descriptions that were short. - It recommended that I add descriptions to articles that did not have them. - He recommended that I change the title of some articles to improve them. - Fix some broken links I had. - Improve the speed of different pages that were slow. - Create internal links on some pages. - Etc. In the end, when I carried out all the recommendations, the Site health score changed from 72% to 91. Pros I am a web designer and SEO and the loading speed of my web pages are very important to me. This tool can scan my web page and help me improve my content by showing me what my web page needs to improve SEO. For example, it shows me which pages do not have an H1, or a title, or an adequate description to be displayed in Google results.
