I have used many EHR's during my career, but this is the first one I've been able to choose. I'm so happy I found Optimantra suggested in an online forum. I've been very pleased with the product and I deeply appreciate the pricing options for part-time and non-physician providers. This is, by far, the best EHR I've ever encountered.

Pros

I really love the variety of options available for documenting patient visits, from custom forms, dot phrases to AI integrated scribe services. There's something for every brain and I'm finding a combination of all available options is working well for me!

Cons

The self-onboarding is definitely do-able, but can feel overwhelming at times. It would be nice if there were more options for small solo practices for one-on-one onboarding. That being said, working with support has always been pleasant and helpful when I have reached out.

The interface was more appealing that others that I tried in addition to being more geared toward medical providers (vs. Simple Practice). I also found the price to be very reasonable and I liked the variety of options for documentation.

Very good experience onboarding, generally fast response to tickets. If there is ever a downtime, it's brief, which is important.

Pros

The cost is very reasonable. And, it's easy to add services and modify prices. I like the way I can directly text and email patients and send documents via fax or email.

Cons

Lack of flexibility in scheduling appointments- can only do 15 minute increments. I would prefer 20 minute slots. I would also prefer a better way to order imaging rather than go through the lab workflow. The orders are difficult for radiology departments to read and I cannot specify left or right x-ray or MRI. I can only specify the laterality in the diagnosis which is not adequate for many facilities so I have to rewrite orders.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! I want to note that you can adjust your appointments to 20 minute slots by navigating within the platform to Settings &gt; Scheduling &gt; Org Settings. "Time slot duration on calendar" can be adjusted to 20 minutes here. If you navigate to Settings &gt; Clinical Integrations &gt; Labs &amp; Diagnostics templates, you can create favorite templates for preferred imaging! This includes adding the location (left/right) in the test name. When you're ready to use your favorite templates, they will be easily accessible on the requisition right beside the 'add imaging' button. Thank you again for taking the time to review OptiMantra!

I would say avoid and honestly I wish I kept searching for another software rather than settling for this option. Customer service is very disappointing and seldom able to actually solve or help issues that arise.

Pros

Billing is nice because you can have lots of control over how and what you bill. I also really like the medication ordering

Cons

Very glitchy and lots of documentation issues with drop down menus, and overlapping screens where boxes and columns becomes merged together.

As a healthcare provider, implementing OptiMantra into my practice has been a game changer for both clinical workflow and overall efficiency. Very good one. So far every feature has been useful although a learning curve is mandatory. The supply management has been the hardest to use so I avoid it.

Pros

I love the flow of the EHR system and the customer service support team with their quick response to tickets.

Cons

The patient educational handout link under email system has a drop down but no search engine so you have to scroll until you find the handout you want. It is cumbersome when you have a long list of handouts.

We opted for the supported onboarding, available for an additional fee. It was inexpensive for the support it provided. We had a great guy, \[sensitive content hidden\], who helped us get up and running. Ongoing support has been fast and effective. If there is a problem, it gets fixed quickly. I feel so fortunate to have found this system. It's been perfect for us, exactly what we needed. I sure appreciate how everyone is so helpful.

Pros

I wish I had OptiMantra 20 years ago! We've had OM for a year now. It's a wonderful system, with inventory, and options for multiple types of integration. It's just perfect for for our Chiropractic/Naturopathic/Functional Medicine/ Massage Therapy office. In my experience it is very responsive, and once I learned the system, it was easy to use. I love that our clients can now reschedule online themselves, through their portals, if they need to change an appointment. We both appreciate being able to have HIPAA compliant messaging through the portal as well. Pricing is very reasonable for my small clinic. I truly appreciate this system.

Cons

I can't say there is anything I particularly dislike. So I do not have anything helpful to share here.

The major reason we chose OM was because of the options it had such as inventory and patient portals. We also liked that it had an integration with Fullscript and labs. Pricing was very helpful for us as well.

We had been planning to move totally to electronic a number of years prior, after having just the front desk functions be electronic, but EON Systems went out of business and was no longer supported. (I'm not sure the option TPS Cloud Axis in above question is correct. We did not have a Cloud based program). Finally we were able to identify OptiMantra as a good solution to our needs.

overall very good experience. I do recommend Optimantra to anyone who asks!

Pros

I love optimantra! It has made my processes so easy. I am a solo provider so it has been super important for things to be easy, efficient, and streamlined. I absolutely love optimantra's daily office hours too. I just jump on those zoom calls when I need help with something. Their customer service is phenomenal. if I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Cons

If Ic oudl change one thing, I would make it easier to add consent forms to an appointment in real time. When an appt is scheduled, we should be able to check boxes for which consent forms we want added to the kiosk. That way it would not have to be configured as an add-on ahead of time. The thing I like least is just that every additional add-on service is an added cost. Luckily their basic plan lasted me quite a while before having to add-on features. I do wish there was a very clear way to view the patient experience on optimantra, for each individual patient.

Communications are fast and easy, learning curve is not bad and I love new features being added. I am glad my colleagues recommended it to me.

Pros

Optimantra is easy to learn for both myself and my patients. Setting up appointments, HIPPA compliant communications, sending documents is all straightforward.

Cons

I will have to open multiple screens to see information when writing a patient message, like wanting to double check a medication dose.

Customer service is great! \[sensitive content hidden\] was easy to work with to set up billing and never got tired of my questions. Now that we use it every day, it makes my practice super easy!

Pros

Easy to use. Notes are simple. I love the eRX is built in and billing is a one step process. We love it!

Cons

I cannot send prescriptions on optimantra when I log in on my phone. I'm not sure if this is an issue with MDToolbox or Optimantra. Fixing this issue would help when I am mobile and do not have my laptop with me.

Hi Mandy, thank you for the kind review! I'm so glad you reached out about your eprescribing on mobile. Is this just for controlled substances? Because any controlled substances require two-factor authentication in MDToolbox to be sent, you can't use your phone to send it and use the same phone's VIPapp to authenticate (as that wouldn't be compliant). You would be able to send controlled prescriptions from the app if you would like to instead move to a FOB as your authenticator. Our team is happy to share more information about this if it's helpful!

I love OptiMantra! I have fax, lab integrations with Rupa Lab and Quest so the labs come right to my emr. The consent forms are easy to make, I can send e prescriptions. Now they have Zoom for the telehealth visits which has been great and Deep Cura their AI addition which helps so much with writing notes. I just talk about my visit and AI puts it into the categories of my note. It has cut down on documentation time!!

Pros

The customer service is great. If you can't find the answer in their knowledge base, then you put a ticket in and someone gets back to you same or next day.

Cons

I felt it was complicated at first but after watching some training videos, I figured things out.

very good - tech support has been very helpful with our issues and I am happy with the timeliness of response times.

Pros

Optimantra is geared toward functional medicine practices and makes charting non-traditional features easy.

Cons

my MA cannot enter diagnostics in a session while I am charting concurrently. When she enters her results in a general note, I lose all the supplements and continuity is broken with carrying forward the supplements to the next appointment. Very inconvenient.

I love that it can do all of the things I need to help me run my practice seamlessly.

When I transferred from my previous EMR a lot of patient information was left out with the transfer and patients emergency contacts were put in the system as patients.

Overall is has been exceptional. Responsiveness from their team is great. The training was comprehensive and it was easy to set up and jump right in to seeing patients. Very cost affordable as well.

Pros

Customer service - very responsive and so many options on how to get needs met. I have always had a fast response which is crucial in this industry.

Cons

Notes - I just don't love the flow of the notes. I would like to have the option for a basic quick phone note to be generated.

OptiMantra is a good fit for our practice. It is easy to train new staff on and has may ways or options to get to the same areas of the system.

Pros

The ease of use. It is a complex yet simple enough system to learn. I also like that I can add to or change templates.

Cons

Not being able to block my "other staff" from going into the "Settings Area" of the program. I click the link "no access" but they are still able to open the Settings Area

Overall, we love Optimantra, really versatile and pretty easy to use and customize things to your liking. Gets better every quarter!

Pros

Pretty customizable and constant updates and improvements. Quick ticket turnaround. The only program on the market that offers billing, scheduling, charting and inventory management all in one.

Cons

Some inefficiencies in day to day use, little things like how things sort and how things look that take a few seconds longer to find what you are looking for, sometimes causing mild frustration.

We started using Optimantra 8 years or so ago and have been extremely happy with it, Optimantra handles every part of our practice.

Pros

Well thought out, easy to use, and if you ever have issues, which is rare, the Optimantra team is amazing.

Cons

The reporting is not the most intuitive. It is very robust and meets all our needs, it is just not super easy. And the password reset function needs some tweaking, in my opinion.

A little over a year ago, our small clinic had outgrown our EMR/ practice management system and we were looking for something that was a better fit. Throughout the last year, they have continued to listen to the needs of their clients and make changes and adjustments to the system that have helped even more. Cons

For forms, consents and other documents that are used frequently it would be nice to have a document/form number associated with each file. Also, adding the ability to export a list of the forms would be helpful.

Fantastic! The on-boarding was great. It is extremely customizable for an individual practice. The integrated video calls and credit card processing make my solo practice actually workable!

Pros

Fantastic customizable product with frequent seamless upgrades and prompt and caring customer service.

Cons

Some of the add-ons I want are available but for an extra charge such as the same-day text reminders.
