Outreach provides great value for the money - the core email and sequencing product is still the best on the market

Pros

Engagement tracking (opens, clicks, replies by email) is hugely helpful. The core email engine is solid. It's easy to create sequences, schedules, templates, calendars etc to guide a prospect through a sequence. Email outbox is awesome - seeing everything in one place makes it easy for the sales rep to manage his work and easy for an admin to troubleshoot issues The Kaia call recording is functional and affordable Good value for the money AI chat support works and routes to a human when needed

Cons

Outreach is not meant to be an automation tool like Zapier, but there are obvious holes in its automation abilities. Why is it so hard to update field values at certain steps or take specific actions at end of sequence? There is some low hanging fruit here that I'm sure the competition is eating at. In some ways, it feels like the core Outreach engine was built in 2015 and largely left alone. I'm familiar with the interface and options, but it could use an overhaul.

My experience with outreach has been overall positive, as it is a fairly straightforward, easy to set up and use outbound tool. But at the the same time, I do wish Outreach would allow for additional administrative and user customization and even deeper integrations with other tools in order to truly beat some of its competitors long term.

Pros

Outreach is the do it all tool for outbound sales teams. Outreach's features cover a wide variety of outbound strategies and allow for deeper understanding around meeting analytics, channel and template performance and overall team performance and metric attainment. The call quality and recording capabilities and ability to integrate with other platforms is a plus too.

Cons

Support can be a little slow to respond and solve issues at times, and occasionally be too vague in their answers to quickly solve an issue. Additionally, even on the admin end the platform can be rigid at times and not as responsive as platforms like Apollo or Salesforce to customized features and data sets.

Overall very positive, on target with other cadence management solutions at a value price point. Very happy with my former usage of the product and would consider it again!

Pros

The pros for outreach were involving a mix of ease of use, value for price, and adoption for the actual software usage amongst the team. Coming from salesloft, outreach was a great alternative for most of the same suite of offerings and support was just as strong as Salesloft was.

Cons

The biggest con for my experience was initial onboarding / set up. Support overall was good, but the initial usage and adoption was a bit of challenge. Instructional guides were lacking, or potentially just not properly dispersed to ALL members of the rev team.

Solid - the UI/UX is not the easiest to navigate and we found competitiors easier to set up, however once in functionality, reporting and integrations are far superior.

Pros

Best in class product vs salesloft or clari in market - functionality, reporting and for sales dev teams this has far more to offer.

Cons

set up and learning curve, salesloft is a lot easier to use for just dialling/cadences having swtiched between the two.

Cons

Some features can feel a bit complex at first, and there’s a short learning curve when setting up advanced workflows. However, once you get used to it, the platform runs smoothly.

Pros

It keeps me organized and accountable for my day. As an account executive, this is critical. The automation saves so much time in my day.

Cons

Interface navigation can be a little challenging sometimes. There were times where I could not find the button to click to remove someone from a sequence.

Overall I would say my experience with Outreach has been amazing. If your team does not have a tool to use that keeps their calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, texts, campaigns, reports, and any other tasks in one place, then give it a try. I know using Outreach is one tool that has enhanced my skillset and made me a better SDR overall. Think of what this could mean for an entire team!!

Pros

Outreach is a robust and stellar platform that will keep the sales team organized, efficient, and effective. I use Outreach to perform my everyday tasks as an SDR and without it I would be lost. The reports keep the entire team on the same page so that we are consistent and professional in our messaging. I am able to create my targeted cadences quickly and easily. There is data to support the effectiveness of my email campaigns which keep me from wasting time on things that are not working and keeps me focused on what is working. I know my work is safe and secure because we are able to access Outreach through our single-sign-on portal, but it is not distracting where I would need to sign in several times or after a few clicks. Anytime I am having an issue I can reach out to the Outreach support team and they are so friendly and happy to assist. They even have Outreach University which helps me level up my skillset on a regular basis.

Cons

Sometimes Outreach can be a little bit complicated and all of the bells and whistles can be overwhelming when you want to complete a simple tasks. Pulling lists with your own criteria can be difficult at times, but generally Outreach does exactly what you need it to do. You sometimes just have to figure out HOW!

Pros

I like that outreach integrates seamlessly with salesforce, is very easy to use and I can send linkedin connections, campaigns, create my templates and also call all from the same platform

Making the life of a sales rep way easier by giving an easy to use platform to customize and execute outreach.

Pros

I have been using Outreach at 2 different companies now. It is in my opinion the best tool in the market - it integrates with our CRM and other tools, it has adaptability to set it up for smaller and bigger sales teams and you can set up a mix of different actions in the sequences (manual vs. auto, social connects, calls etc). It makes it highly customisable to the outreach you want to achieve and with the dashboards you can easily change your approach after.

Cons

There's some minor features that are still annoying to deal with. Blockers in sequences (bounced emails that will disrupt sequences) etc, for the rest I'm very happy with Outreach.

Pros

Outreach is a tool that vastly simplifies "outreach" itself. What I like the most is the salesforce intregration; I can open any account/contact/opp and reach out to the stakeholder, calling especially is much easier than done through other sf integrations I've tried and I like how everything is correctly logged.

Cons

tends to be a bit buggy; I've had the app crash mid-call which makes for bad client experience

Outreach makes it so easy to meet that crucial nexus point in sales of volume + quality of messaging. Being able to have measured feedback on how well your emails are received means you can keep tweaking until you get open and response rates as high as possible. It makes me faster as a sales rep and more data driven as a team.

Pros

Outreach can do a TON. Being able to import a list of leads and have relevant info show such as title, last contact, etc.. is an amazing time saver when trying to make sure you're list (csv, sfdc report, etc..) is 'clean' and good to go. Being able to call directly through the platform is a huge time saver as well. All of the reporting around your sequences is a huge win. I will go through all of my sequences once every week or so to see what's doing well, what isn't, and tweak to optimize performance. There is a huge amount of data you can use to compare yourself to others, measure the efficacy of your outreach, and collaborate on best practices with team members. Over all Outreach is a huge win and is very well integrated with every one we use from a customer facing team perspective (gmail, sfdc, Linkedin)

Cons

Outreach feels like they are probably an engineering first design second kind of company. I say that because their software can do SO MUCH, but it's not always intuitive how to do specific things. It has taken me awhile to get fully up to speed on some of the tips and tricks that really make outreach awesome. This is barely a con, more so just a training or user experience comment. Outreach can do so much it'd be tough for them to make every little feature super easy to find and obvious. Perhaps some more specific live onboarding/training would be helpful as well.

This was a very effective tool for email marketing and customer outreach campaigns, well-suited for selling on the mid-market segment and above. It can be integrated with Salesforce which is essential.

Pros

I managed this software as the admin, and what i really about this software is that their customer experience team is very helpful and professional. They were very helpful in making sure we can customize to fit what we need as much as possible.

Cons

This is an overall great software for customer outreach, however, the sales process that this is designed towards is for account-based selling and not transactional (like our market -SMB).

### "I hate to write a negative Review but... this experience was so bad I hope to help you pick better"

Their sales team was bad and initially we didnt sign up, then after trailing another and also being frustrated with that one, we made a stupid decision to just go with Outreach, forced to buy their video onboarding, their support takes forever to answer and most answers are incorrect, when their software crashes they have a robotic response that their team gives which is reboot, they will tell that over and over, when in reality their app fails because of mismatching data on the import that they can't handle correctly. They put me on a call with an Advanced Success Manager after I complained and she was so new, she knew nothing and wasted my time for 15 minutes, It got so bad I had to get involved and it was obvious that they weren't going to be a good fit for us and they admitted however, I asked if we could jsut part ways friends, cancel our agreement, they refuse to let us out of a $26,000 contract. KNOWING we won't use it and knowing that their team said its not a good fit.

Pros

nothing. After 3 months I am walking away from a $26,000/yr contract they will NOT let us out of, so I am STILL Paying and we are NOT going to use this trash of a platform. They do NOT care about you as a client.

Cons

Using this software cut our call volume in half, we had our WORST sales month in 2 years, we had so many problems getting set up, their software crashes, notes fail to save, hubspot integration is a joke, stand alone you lose features like deal pipeline, you can not sort by last time called, their throttles don't work as explained, cannot text, the list of cons goes on and on...

Outreach.io is an easy-to-use tool and incredibly helpful for our Sales Department. Whether you are a Sales Representative, Enablement/Operations, or a Sales Leader, it helps provide visibility into all activity metrics, keeps reps on track with daily/monthly activity, and takes the guess-work out of identifying prospects a rep needs to follow up with or prioritize throughout their outbound sales motion.

Cons

Some of the reporting functionality could be improved. For example, daily activity metrics has a 15-minute delay or so for pulling accurate metrics, which can make it difficult to identify underperforming reps in real-time. Also limited reporting in terms of filtering custom dates (currently cannot pull total activity metrics for 3 months - which creates a manual effort when reporting on quarterly activity goals for an organization)

Good product, adequate support, terrible sales team/experience. Brought this vendor on to one company I worked with, didn't bring it on to a future company because got tired/frustrated dealing with their sales team.

Pros

This product is pretty good, I've used Outreach, SalesLoft and Fileboard. Fileboard has the best sales team, they not only are helpful with understanding their product, but they also help with sharing their sales strategy using their product. SalesLoft and Outreach are the same in funcitonality, and SalesLoft has a good sales team. The issue I have with Outreach is their sales team is too arrogant, they have a good product, but I think teach them internally to be cocky, and it got so bad I just didn't want to use their product anymore and felt compelled to write this review.

Cons

The software is a bit glitchy sometimes, if it goes out you're just not using it that day. The sales team is very arrogant, not helpful. Companies with arrogant sales teams tend to have that culture bleed off into other areas, which make them very difficult vendors to work with .

Overall, I would choose Outreach any day over the competitors and recommend it to others.

Pros

Outreach suited our needs the best out of other tools in the market. It is very comprehensive and integrates with other tools in our sales enablement stack seamlessly.

Cons

The reporting function needs improvement; too much data and not the right metrics - it would be good to see output through the full funnel instead of standalone metrics. Also, calls connected should exclude voicemail.

Super easy to use. Any feature you need is easy to find with their intuitive, reactive UI.

Cons

Frequently goes down for periods of minutes, and in rare circumstances hours. On top of this, it can be hard to find certain information when you need it. (why can't I see amount of time certain prospects have opened emails)

Pros

I like the fact that Outreach has a wide array of functionality from email tracking, to email sequencing, reporting, and calendar integration. It serves a bunch of fundamental purposes for any sales team.

Cons

The biggest drawback of Outreach is the initial adoption and learning curve. It can take about a month or so to fully learn the ins and outs of the solution. Make sure your company invests in training when you roll this product out!
