Easy integration to other websites and platforms and love the set up for notes and protocols. Pros I love the accessibility for clients to see their protocols, notes and upload medical files easily. Links and booking is simple and straightforward. Options for programs vs sessions is extremely helpful. Affordable and lots of support from the company to troubleshoot. Cons Adding colour ‘changes’ or a $ sign to the calender for clients who’ve paid for their session. Sometimes losing voice connection or video for clients using their phone on a web browser esp for first time clients. As well, they’re always improving the platform so I see no reason not to stick around for the long haul! Pros It’s a super easy tool for managing both my consistent clients, as well as the events that I run throughout the year. I like being able to have programs created in the account as well, and it links nicely to my email manager. Cons As much of what I do is personal training, the workout tracking abilities could be improved a bit. Pros It was worth taking the time to implement the different features in Practice Better. It makes onboarding new clients really easy. Most tools I need daily in my practice are there. No need for an extra booking app, an invoicing software. I manage appointments, reminders, invoices all in one place. Their templates are really helpful too. I’ve used other apps that I really liked, but Practice Better came highly recommended for functional medicine practices due to its built-in forms. Unfortunately, my experience has been the worst I’ve encountered in this field. Over the past three months, I’ve been stuck in a frustrating cycle of trying to address a basic issue with logging client calls. Despite numerous attempts to reach customer support, each response takes a day or more, and solutions have been either incomplete or ineffective. When I tried scheduling a support call, I was given a two-week waiting time—a completely unreasonable delay for anyone needing timely solutions in a fast-paced practice. I've used quite a few different software programs over the years to run my nutrition and health coaching business. I have tried names you would probably recognize including Mindbody and Vagaro among others however I found they just weren't the right fit or were lacking features. I've been using Practice Better for over 5 years and have watched them, grow, improve, and expand. I've used every pricing tier or plan offered. I'm currently using the Plus plan. I use it for hosting my group programs, sending coaching materials, sending protocols and recommendations, coaching and communicating with my clients individually and through group chat and email, scheduling client appointments and group coaching calls, and also billing and invoicing clients. It allows my business to run smoothly and makes me look professional. I also appreciate that it integrates with many third-party devices that I use regularly like Fullscript, Zoom, Google Calendar, and Square just to name a few. I like the fact that you can create custom forms and tasks that reoccur. I use these forms to help my clients build and form new habits. I also like the fact they are always looking to improve their services, have regular training on their software as well as provide business coaching and tips to allow the user to run their business better as well as improve professionally. Their customer service is pretty great too! I genuinely appreciate this service and have recommended it to many friends, clients, and colleagues which is why I'm taking my time to write this review. Cons There was a time when I was considering leaving Practice Better because they had a rather awkward program hosting platform. When I tried to use it, I found my clients were confused and didn't have a good experience. They have since fixed that and have made a few more adjustments to the software in general that allow my clients to have a better user experience. I like when things are really intuitive not only for me to use but especially for my clients. If anything I would like to see some more developments in this area. I also wish they had messaging templates for communicating with clients because a lot of the time especially in the onboarding process messages are quite repetitive. Otherwise I'm quite happy with the software. Pros User friendly for both patient and practitioner. Food journal and instant messaging functions are excellent, easy ways to give clients feedback and communicate with them between consultations. Cons VERY pricey for what it offers. There are some great features, but not all of these are essential. There are other platforms which offer the basic features needed to run a successful practice which are more affordable. It would be good of there was a way to do group teleconferencing for group programs, which at the moment is not something accessible in the Programs part of the platform. By and large a satisfied customer. Pros i have really appreciated Practice Better's abundant resources to help me streamline and consolidate all my client records and communication. I transitioned to them years ago and love the ease of having everything online in one place. The addition of online dispensary options, menu planning software and lab ordering from within the platform has only added value many times over! Cons I am aware there is a lot of features now that I have not learned. There is a bit of a learning curve that I do not always feel I have the time to take. This is, of course, a challenge I have with everything from my SEO plug ins on my website to using my phone, so it can't be pinned exclusively on PB. You all did take WAY TOO LONG to make auto-save a feature, though. In the future, when there is something that fundamental you are behind in, it would be worthwhile to hire out a programming consultancy firm to take care of it ASAP rather than let customers languish for years. Cons It does not (yet) incorporate the dispensary where I buy supplements from, the invoicing function does not work for me either (live in Sweden). I like how efficient and clear cut things are for my management and theirs. Cons I don't like that after I got past 10 clients, I had to switch to 300 clients and almost triple my cost. I wish there was an in between choice, because now I feel the 80 dollars month is not worth it due, to my income ebbing and flowing with my 15 clients. I am no where near 300 clients, which is what I had to switch over to. Reason for choosing Practice Better Price and the trial " sprout" you all offered. That was the selling point. The ability to use pre-made and make my own charting and forms templates was hugely valuable. Lastly, the HIPAA compliant AI charting and dictation released in December 2023 has been a game changer for helping me chart and be even more present in sessions with my clients. Cons This has been mostly resolved now with ClaimMD being launched, but the lack of a clearinghouse. PB is a great valuable, but a sizeable investment, so I wish a clearinghouse could be included in some of the upper pricing tiers instead of an extra cost. But I am glad there's an option for a clearinghouse now even if it may not be as good of an option for dietitians like me to use personally. I'm likely going to use Availity.
