If your email gets compromised, or you decide to use some lame password that's the same password on each site instead of using LastPass or another password manager, then you're most likely going to get hacked at some point. MiniOrange adds 2FA to the mix so even if an attacker knows your username and password, they must also have access to your phone in order to gain access to your account. Pros WordPress doesn't come with 2FA, but Mini Orange fixes that problem. Cons I can't think of anything. Everything seems to work just fine. Often they write comments to articles themselves about how great they are and the Wordpress plugin ratings all have the same verbiage: the average customer experience is hoping for a better product than they'll ever receive and their customer support goes dark when you call them on it. Cons I'd give zero stars if I could! I assumed good faith but after a few emails with screenshots of their own licensing agreements it became clear that their licensing and descriptions are deceptive, they know their product doesn't work right at the free tier and when you call them on it they'll insist you misinterpreted the licensing and tell you to give them money, or they'll walk away from the conversation and won't talk to you anymore. miniOrange products' agreements and licensing look polished, but they're only there to hook you in and when the product doesn't work, they tell you to upgrade the licensing tier and when you do it and expect it to work, it doesn't. Don't fall for it, there are a thousand other plugins that both work AND are actually free but have strong customer support. MIniOrange already had an existing solution. Setup and administration via web portal was very easy, our existing device had no problem talking to MiniOrange server and the price is very reasonable. I end up saving money by using a service I trust over spinning up my own instance and having to manage it. MiniOrange does the "heavy lifting" and I appreciate it. Pros I love the ease of use and intuitive nature of the product I use. I can easily take users in and out of the configuration without complicated steps. Once setup, this has been a huge help to the company for years, with literally no downtime and a response back from support every time I write. Cons I do not like the fact I cannot control the branding name. I would love to be able to configure the name the Google Authenticator uses and make that a brand for the company. The team have been excellent at answering questions, understanding my needs and then delivering.When there has been an issue, they have always been on hand and fast to resolve in a very professional manner Pros I was looking for a Token Gating Solutions for Web3/NFT's that would work with my current Web2 structure. I was delighted to find Mini-Orange who were able to deliver what I was looking for at a reasonable cost. Cons As Web3 and NFT's is new, I had to give a lot of feedback on what needs to change for the functionality to work as I need it. I was happy that the team delivered on their promise to get to a working solution.The onboarding / setup was longer than expected, but the team figured out the issues and responded fast. Reason for choosing miniOrange There was the option of building from scratch, this was both very expensive and time consuming. There was also free options on the market, but the user experience was limiting and poor overall.When I discovered Mini-Orange, I chose to move forward with them as they understood my problem and had a working solution.The team were friendly and always available when I had questions. The customer support was impeccable. At one point, we asked them to add event hooks to support extension and they did with little turn-around time. We also had some custom requirements around attribute mapping which they worked through with us. They were willing to get on the phone with us at inconvenient times (for them), due to the timezone difference. Currently, we need both the free and premium versions installed to support production and non-production environments. This makes upgrades more challenging than we'd like, because we were not willing to purchase an additional license. Pros This product has a thorough feature set which met and exceeded our requirements. Cons A few minor bugs and unintuitive design related to attribute mapping. The code is not as clean as I'd expect with a professional product. The license only covers one environment, where as I wish the license covered one production and one development environment. But then it's just like SSO should be. Pros It integrates smooth with TYPO3 v 10. Syncing of user data can be configured by mapping data from authentication service into TYPO3 is nice.
