Jotform is a great go to and absolutely to be recommended for small organisations or teams that want to get stuff done without buying into a big system. Pros As non-profit we were looking for an accessible and easy to use software for us to organise our admissions process. The tool helped us compile all important data and collect it reliably in one place. The tool is intuitive and allows a variety of customization to fit your enterprises needs. For a organisation with a small budget it is a great choice and offers great value for money. Cons I can't mention anything I did not like, some of the restriction we have encountered are due to subscription we are on and could be changed if needed. Aside from the two things noted above in the least enjoy, we like it and will continue to use it! Pros We use this for surveys and check-in forms for our program and we appreciate the data collection and the form customization. Cons I do not like how expensive it is to have multiple collaborators (had to purchase enterprise) also, could improve the languages (Spanish is not the best let alone French). Having the ability to have signed documents completed before clients come in for their first session is a must!! Pros Being able to capture signed documents from clients. We have documents that need to be signed before we can see a client. Joy forms allows us to get these signed prior to them ever coming in. Cons It is not the most user friendly on a mobile device. I have had many clients say that when they fill the forms out on their mobile device it is super tricky and complicated. VR Verified Reviewer IT Coordinator Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "The Perfect form builder for every use case" June 9, 2025 4.0 when you need a form to collect data or simply just to record information whether for business or for yourself, jotform has me covered, i wanted to create a simple check-in\\check-out form so when i go to a customers site to do some work, i wanted a way to track when i got onsite and when i would leave the site, but also record the work i did. this made tracking billable hours and invoicing so much more easy for my employer, instead of bring a paper document to fill out or hoping i remember to log it all down when i got back to the office, but also as a way to let my employer know when i arrive. i have since then added more forms to the app that makes it almost like a website with all the appropriate portals to access whatever form that needs to be filled out for day-to-day duties. Pros The level of customization and simplicity of creating forms is amazing, whatever the need is it has. Cons There is a little bit of a learning curve - it's not super intuitive at first. However, there are good resources out there to learn the skills you need and it's worth investing the time to develop a good customer experience and make data collection efficient. I have not explored them yet but was relieved to see them integrate well. I also utilize google docs to upload CSV files that I have downloaded from Jotform. Being able to skip a step with this would be ideal. Pros We were looking for something that was secure and had an audit trail while still being user friendly. We have a nonprofit that works with students with disabilities and when someone shows interest in our program, we utilize Jotform to collect secure information that can also be easily organized. Cons I wish it was easier to create forms that we could duplicate and send to multiple families personalized rather than having to duplicate and edit. Example: I need to send a notification to parents and they need to sign that they saw it, but I want it to have their students' name at the top. It helped us to make everything digital so no more paper expenses and drawers full of papers. Every client receives a copy of the agreement on his/her email. Pros Value for money, ease of use, form customization, internet connectivity, data collection, customization Cons Jotfom has a very small upload space limit and number of submissions per month on the starter plan. As for the upload space limit, you can always free up space when you delete submissions containing file uploads. You can always download files first for your local copy. Cons Once submitted, hard to go back and edit, so the user experience could be improved on a bit, but definitely not a dealbreaker.
