So far, the apps that I create are amazing, and the app builder is very adaptive to my ideas. I have not found a tool like this anywhere. The forms feature allows app users to enter information and compiles the info into color coded easy to follow charts for me. This year, they have also added a virtual assistant that works great guiding app users through the app and providing information. Pros Jotform is very simple to use. I use it for app creations, and it's very simple to add elements to the app, and to link the app to external sources, i.e. YouTube and other social links. Not to mention that the free version is very generous, allowing 5 free forms and easy data collection. Cons So far, this is a very useful tool. In the app builder, I would like for it to allow videos that autoplay when a page is opened instead of having to embed an external video. Having the ability to have signed documents completed before clients come in for their first session is a must!! Pros Being able to capture signed documents from clients. We have documents that need to be signed before we can see a client. Joy forms allows us to get these signed prior to them ever coming in. Cons It is not the most user friendly on a mobile device. I have had many clients say that when they fill the forms out on their mobile device it is super tricky and complicated. Database Manager Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Jotform: A new way to survey" August 18, 2025 4.0 My overall experience with Jotform is positive. The customization options such as creating forms and surveys is pretty easy and straight forward. E-signatures and document uploading is very easy when it comes to asking for clients or customers to upload information or documents. The drop and drag feature when creating forms is another plus. Despite the slow response from customer service and questionable tier prices I'd say it's comparable to a few other form creation sites. Pros What I like most about Jotform is the ease in creating questions, forms and surveys to send to clients/constituents. Users do not have to go through a steep learning curve to create forms and surveys. There are over 10,000 templates with a variety of design options, including fonts, colors layouts and CSS editing. Jotform connects with integrations with other platforms like, Google Sheets, PayPal, Slack and Zoom. Since the company that I'm working for is a nonprofit, we truly appreciate the free tier and low pricing model, which gives us a generous starting point with up to five forms and 100 monthly submissions. Cons I find that one of the things that I like least about Jotform is the copy and paste. You have to double click into the form and if you are copying and pasting from a long paragraph you can take sections at a time and if dont copy the entire section some of the sentences end up out of place. When I have any account issues it seems like it takes a very long time to hear back from customer service. When you put in a customer service ticket, you don't hear back for a week in some cases. The only other backdrop that I think it should have is a rating system like Survey Monkey. They need something to check and see how many people are opening the form, what browser they are using and the ability to send the form via the app instead of having to send it via email.
