### "Powerful Texting for Churches"

Very positive. Our team picked up using it fast. And it seems like we've been more organized and less overwhelmed keeping up with text messages.

Pros

I just convinced my church leadership team to switch to Clearstream. I had used it at my previous job (after researching all the options). When I moved to a new job, they were using a different platform. The reason, we made the switch was how customizable the notifications are for our team and how each number has a completely different inbox. On our previous texting provider, all the numbers were lumped into one inbox. And you always had to double check which number you were sending from. It also had wayyy too many steps to send a simple text message. It's made each number feel like that person's individual number and helped us keep up with communication. We love how easily clearstream integrates with Planning Center. We love being able to send notes, videos, and polls from the desktop site. Plus their customer support is TOP notch. They get back within 1-2 hours or less.

Cons

The mobile app doesn't have as much functionality as we would like. You have to use the desktop for anything other than a basic message. We would love to be able to record and send videos from the app - we send out birthday videos to each volunteer. And when you archive something, you can't access the conversation history of that person from the app. The other issue we've run into is some people (especially moms with teenagers serving) have the same number. Clearstream associates 1 number with 1 name. And it seems random over whose name is chosen if there are multiple people with the same number. We are still working through this functionality.

The functionality was not what we needed with our current team. It was a little clunky and time consuming to manage 6 numbers. We did keep our Talk in Church subscription because their digital receptionist is perfect for our needs.

over all Clear streams is a good app and I'm very happy I am using it. It's clean and versatile, and has great costumer service.

Pros

I love how your team is very professional and responds to the in app service incredibly quickly. What I use the app for most is texting my youth student's about pick ups and drop offs and I love how quick and seamless the texts are, it feels like I'm texting on my personal number.

Cons

their are two features Id like to be changed. One I'm ministering to low income students. These kids often changes phone numbers all the time, or don't have it. I am not able to change a subscribers Number, I need to make a new subscriber. This is probably something a little harder for ya'll to fix however. it seems like a foundation thing. something I would love that is probably easier to add, is a notes section for subscribers. Just an extra place to type by the name and last name area. It's good to know who is the parent of who (last names normally don't line up) and things like address.

My overall experience with Clearstream has been great. It’s reliable, consistent, and gets the job done every time.

Pros

Customer service is great — they’re always quick to help and genuinely care about churches. The learning resources are nice to have, and the system itself is simple to use. Clearstream is also very supportive of church plants, which is a big plus.

Cons

It doesn’t function like a normal two-way SMS conversation platform. It’s more geared toward sending announcements than managing text threads. The user interface looks dated, and the pricing can feel high for smaller churches.

When we first introduce the software to the team, they immediately fell in love with how easy it was to navigate and understand the product. We love the fact that it filters easily and connects well with PCO by pushing it back to update or create new profiles. We love it!

Pros

It provides a simple and effective process to get people connected to our church. The price point is good and gives us what we need for the size that we are and gives us the ability to have it grow with us. I also love that support is always there to help answer any minor to major questions/concerns that we may have.

Cons

The transfer wasn’t a smooth process as everything had to manually added. And as a portable church, we’d hope they’d have more options for tap tags functionality.

I wish the phone app had more functional features where I could try to resend a message that failed to send. Also, would love it if I could send e-mails from Cleastreatm

I am very happy with Clearstream. They were recommended to me by another church plant and I can clearly see why! We will continue using this service for all our communication needs.

Pros

Their customer support is so very helpful! And being able to email and text from the same place is amazingly helpful! My people now get a weekly email and a text with a link to our email, they have said how helpful this has been!

Cons

It was difficult at first because I didn't realize it doesn't automatically sync up with Planning Center, but since I received help from the customer support, It links well with Planning Center and even allows people to text back.

Pros

It's an amazing product and beyond that the customer service is insanely good! It's a good value for the money and the amount of time they let you try it before you pay anything is crazy too!

Cons

So far nothing. There are a few things where I think navigation could be improved but they seem to be making constant updates and hearing customer concerns.

It's been great. The customer support was great and helped us as a non-profit and church plant get a great plan for us.

Pros

Clearstream is a great way for our church to connect with new people, and people within our congregation. The customer support has been so great and there has been an easy with setting it up and payments and billing.

Cons

I'm not sure. We haven't used it for long enough, but I wish I could text with more characters for 1 credit, but I don't think that's something that can be fixed.

In general it has been good so far. I wish a few kinks were worked out, and maybe that is on our user end. We like having a personal account phone number and for multiple people to be able to send texts.

Pros

The integration with planning center is really great. It helps us for our multiple ministries to be able to text each of their respective groups

Cons

I wish the integration was a little smoother in the sense of being able to edit the messages from the Planning Center side. As it is now, each person who schedules texts has to be able to login to clearstream to edit or change their messages. The number of characters per credit also is very low, it costs us a lot to send messages compared to the system we came from

We began using Clearstream for our youth group communication because we have multiple Youth Pastors and they need to be able to safely communicate with students where they are. Our old texting company would not ingest profiles from PCO that were marked child (under 18), so we switched to Clearstream. We now use Clearstream at both locations and throughout all ministries of our church

Pros

We love the integration with Planning Center! Everything about the integration makes our lives so much easier.

Cons

I'm not sure there is anything I really don't like? It is so easy to use, it works. We use email and texting and they both are great functions.

It has been fantastic. The platform is rock solid, intuitive, easily accessible via web and app, and connects with all the tools we need such as Planning Center and Zapier.

Pros

Clearstream makes effective communication incredibly easy. We can communicate to mass groups or one-on-one, all with information and lists synced automatically from our church database. There are great tools to create workflows, advanced auto-responses to keywords, and polls. Polls have been a huge hit, allowing us to build interactive sermons with real time voting on topics.

Cons

They added an AMAZING email feature. However, we can’t use it for critical communication yet because my understanding is contacts only import to Clearstream if they have a valid phone number attached.

My experience thus far has been overwhelmingly positive. Excellent price point and service for our church size (~ 350). We were pleased to be able to use Clearstream to stay in touch with parents bringing their children to our VBS program.

Pros

The Clearstream service and the trial period was easy to understand. Their staff was also very responsive to questions before we purchased the product. We were especially thankful for two things: 1) We did not have to inquire to our congregation about their phone carriers in order to begin using Clearstream--and could get started right away. 2) We could import lists of names and numbers. Additionally, the website so far has been very intuitive to use, and staff support has been excellent--very responsive.

Cons

So far I don't have a "like least" regarding the Clearstream product.

Pros

So far, I find it very easy to use. I appreciate the format. It has really helped out church with communication, and since I am not of the youngest generation, a very easy user-friendly interface helps me a lot.

Cons

I was confused about the credits remaining and credits per text. It caused us an issue about two weeks ago. Clearstream staff was awesome and helped us. But I would say, this should be clearer for all customers :)

3 1/2 out of 4 stars. We use Clearstream to send out information to our church, groups, and group leaders. It has been very successful in that regard.

Pros

Clearstream is easy to use and easy to track all communications. It syncs with our Management System, and every time we’ve had an issue, Clearstream CS has been quick to help.

Cons

Some of our members have multiple phone numbers. So we have to designate which number to use ourselves, instead of Clearstream just using the first number given.

Our overall experience has been great. The customer service is responsive and helpful. I also love that there’s a commitment to continuous improvement for the service.

Pros

Implementing Clearstream that my church has transformed the way we communicate. I love being able to place people into distinct groups and send targeted messaging as well as the automated workflow before weekly reminders like Bible study and fellowship group meetings.

Cons

I wish you could build HTML emails directly into clear stream without having to copy HTML code from another source.

I am a big fan of Clearstream. Our church is a church plant that needed a way of streamlining communication without using an incredibly repetitive email format. By sending texts, we are able to keep communication short, clear, and get the main point of every message across easily.

Pros

I really appreciated how easy the system was to use. We were able to get our church's database uploaded easily and started sending messages out right away. It has streamlined communication for us in a major way!

Cons

I haven't found anything to really dislike at this point. We've had Clearstream for a couple months and are still playing with it, but have had a positive experience to this point.

This has been a great experience with being able to text any questions I had to support. The learning curve has been minimal and I have recommended to numerous pastoral friends. I like having the option to scale my monthly plan and only being locked in for that month as well. Being able to text people back has really unified our congregation.

I have enjoyed the simplicity of the dashboard and connecting my departments so easily. I send out to individuals, departments, and my full database...love it!

I haven't found anything I was disappointed in yet.

Pros

The functionality of Clearstream is great. I like the iOS app and the ability to sync with planning center. I just use the simple features but it's good to know that you can get in-depth reports for more growth. Also the ability to add users and delegate to volunteers is nice.

Cons

I dislike how there is no standalone iPadOS app. I use my iPad a lot for work and have recently moved away from a smart phone. It's usable just not at nice.

Best church texting service I've used by far. The design is beautiful and intuitive, whether it's on computer or iOS. The team is responsive and kind, and I love seeing updates and innovation. It lets me know that great things are ahead!

Pros

The Planning Center integration is outstanding. It's so easy to sync and create lists that expedite communication to different groups.

Cons

I wish there was some integration with Realm, which is the church database service our church currently uses. For sub ministries, Planning Center integration is sufficient.

It has been really great! There is so much you can do with Clearstream, I feel like as a church we are barely scratching the surface with it but it has been fun to learn new features and get to use it in new ways and it is very intuitive.

The app still has a little less functionality than the website so when I am not near my computer and need to send a message, it is a little harder and I usually opt for the online version.

This service has allowed improved communication from the staff to members. Before Clearstream, we used group texting which was limiting and many members were frustrated by the group replies. This has really improved our ability to get info out in a timely manner.

Cons

Pricing is a concern for our small church. We are on the smallest plan but still don't use all of the credits.
