we utilize it as a work order system. It works okay but with little training and less support it has been problematic. admittedly, it is probably an internal issue due to like of organizational training and support, but it seems hard to use for most team members

D365 has a tremendous number of options available

Cons

the screens are very busy and with multiple ways to enter info, it's difficult to have a standardized way to enter info

Customer management, easy reporting on day-to-day interactions, forecasts, order data...

Pros

When used correctly, there is so much data that is available and it can be made available to the users as well as administration. It's easy to pull and easy to customize so that we're seeing the data that we need on a day-to-day basis.

Cons

Not really the software's fault, but trying to get buy-in is difficult. I think there were so many options that it felt overwhelming to some departments (specifically sales). We're still trying to customize for them and there hasn't been much adoption.

Pros

The advent of Copilot makes data stored in D365 a real treasure trove - even for non-coders. Any user can experiment with meaningful AI use cases.

Cons

Sometimes it just freezes and you might need to start your task anew. Nothing else really to complain about.

Cons

Complex for new users - really expensive - Have to use Microsoft partner - Complexity for customizing - Limitation for offline access

I have found through the years my experience to be very positive. If I have ever had any issues the Microsoft customer support have always been quick and mostly good. The improvements to the settings and configuration have been really good, and the whole cloud system is so much quicker than it used to be.

Pros

Dynamics 365 has improved so much over the past 6 years I have been using it for NFP clients. The integrations with other products is getting better and the natural integrations with Microsoft products is fantastic. The whole Power Platform is really good now and Microsoft are constanting making things better and easier to use and configure. I love the low/no code as I am not a programmer but I have studied and learnt enough to be good at configuring Dynamics for my clients.

Cons

The licensing and the fact they stopped the not for profit grants for 5 free licenses. It is still reasonably priced, but for a NFP every cent counts.

I have been using it daily since 2016 for sales prospecting, contact management, follow up management, opportunity tracking, account management. It also is the database of record for our prospect contact and email database, and also our client database. We have also customized Dynamics to track our clients annual software maintenance renewals.

Pros

Some improvements made in 2023 have made Dynamics much better than it was before for setting up screen views, arranging and filtering columns, and improved search options.

Cons

1) The cost of marketing is very high compared to other email marketing services reporting can be complex, for example including fields from the associated account file is difficult or impossible when modifying the contact record search.

Cons

Updates may be slow. But other than that, it’s satisfactory. I also noticed that there are several versions used by several organizations. This makes it appear new when I change jobs.

Overall we had a fairly easy journey to implement it and so far it has met all of our expectations.

Pros

Of all the CRM products out there that are SaaS delivered, we found Dynamics to be the most robust and feature-rich. We tested it against similar competitors such as Salesforce, and Dynamics simply did better on many fronts. Not to mention Dynamics is reasonably priced compared to competition. The best part of MS Dynamics was its native integration with many other MS products such as DB Warehouse, Copilot, Azure products, etc.

Cons

There wasn't much downside to it. Perhaps its UI can be more intuitive in certain areas.

Well, I'm a new user. Obviously I've used Windows in the past but Dynamics is new to me. A am just gaining experience with it but so far it's very user friendly and very much what I would expect from a Windows product.

Pros

I loved the options of using all of the advanced features that I expected from the Windows 365 plus plus a bunch of extras. Plus the app is very user friendly.

Cons

Overall, the only thing that I would say is a problem with Dynamics 365 is cost, especially when considering larger companies when it comes to licensing.

I avoid all Apple products, because they admit to creating tech-devices that are designed to force the consumer into routinely purchasing "upgrades"...What an Atrocious dismissal of their corporate responsibility to improve Mother Earth's Environment! Microsoft's continuous auto-updates practically force consumers into using THEIR products/apps - which are far less secure than the Linux/Firefox/Mozilla/Google team. The similarities b/w Apple and Microsoft are that these "updates" often force the consumer to purchase new devices - after their current device is too far "corrupted" to be worth the $$$ for repairs (because they inadvertently downloaded malware). Also, throughout my beginners-level experiences, I have found that Google readily offers updates/tips/step-by-step instructions on how to integrate Google Apps/programs to "play well" w/Microsoft...I have NOT found this information readily provided by Microsoft.

Pros

My review is for Microsoft products, in general - not specifically "Dynamic 365". I am not very tech-savvy, so when I first started developing my Business Plan, I utilized the Operating System already installed on my laptop, which was Microsoft. As I was/am working alone, I discovered that my lack of tech-knowledge/skills had caused my personal laptop to crash/inadvertently downloaded malware. After the 3rd time that a patient/helpful friend "rescued" my laptop, he informed me he would be installing Linux as my Ops. This was/will continue to be a learning process, but the fact Linux keeps my files/system secure has made a believer out of me. I now advocate for Linux/Firefox/Mozilla/Google - they work well together, and they are operated primarily as non-profits (except Google, obviously). More importantly, NONE of their "updates" have EVER caused my laptop to "crash" or download corrupted malware files.

Cons

In order to make developing my business website easier on myself, I recently purchased a second laptop w/Microsoft as the Ops. However, I soon realized that Microsoft's "auto-updates" were continuously converting/moving my Google files onto Edge/Onedrive/Microsoft apps. I wasted hours of time "undoing" their "updates", and finally I took the device to my locally-owned computer repair shop. After explaining my frustrations, they immediately understood what I was referring to, and installed "Microsoft Stop" on my device - so far, so good...
