You can create a report very quickly and these reports get send to the concerned staff automatically. You can customize the application according to your requirements. The import feature helps you enter bulk data. The application is synchronized, and whatever edits you make will be instantly done. You can customize the layout, the application has an easy to use interface. You get email notifications based on your invoices, delivery, and other updates. It does not take a tech-savvy person to work on the application. Cons The graphics capabilities are less when compared to other applications. The absence of regular audit trails. March 6, 2015 4.0 Quickbase is trully an excellent platform for web app development with no code approach. It's really simple to learn and provide quick application development. Setting up tables, relations, forms, validations by playing with the out of box configurations is very nice. Customizations and APIs offered by quickbase also giving it's users an option to setup any custom page which can communicate with Quickbase tables for all data manipulations operations. Option of building custom reports making an application really awesome. Also quickbase pages are mobile compatible improving user experience for any device. I definately recommend this product. Pros Quick and easy, option of handling roles and security for each level of details, excellent technical support with 100% customer satisfaction, mobile/devices compatible and powerfull reporting capability. Cons Lack of multilingual support, Not having some of the miscleneous fields like Captcha, some time customization is bit tricky for a very complex functionalities. Review Source TG Trish G. Tracking of parts, vehicle fleet info, uniform request... we have it all right there and it is so valuable. Pros Easy answers at your fingertips to all your data. Organizing your purchasing, fleet, employees is a snap. Creating an app to is simple and quick. The functionality of the database makes our business efficient and provides quick answers. Cons I wish there was more help from QB regarding app building rather than contracting out services. We are constantly building out the app, and it is so user friendly. Playing around in it is fun, and whatever you need to do it can be done! Cons That is is internet dependent. Pros It is SO flexible! It allows us to create any report, view, or feature we need as a company. Allows us to pull different data in different ways. Cons It flexibility is also it's downside as we have to make all of these changes manually. This can sometimes, very often, be time consuming and forces a few of us to work late hours in order to meet the demands of leadership. We have been using the nonprofit manager application for three years and love it. We also created six other applications to track social services including afterschool care, legal advocacy and public program application assistance. Pros Very customizable, quick and easy search. Helpful support services. Low-cost. Can easily download information and upload information from Excel. Cons Wish I had more time and knew more to customize the templates with my organizations branding, but as a backend management system. This product is perfect right out of the box. May 11, 2018 3.0 Pros I went to an event where different companies showcased how they use quickbase and how's it's changed their workflow for the better. It can plug in with 3rd party applications and do inventory, pull reports automatically, really awesome stuff! Cons My team was trying to use QB for project management within a Marketing team--it's not rocket science. However, my team didn't have anyone technical enough to customize the product for us on the fly. We enlisted a single person consultant, but after the consultant's project was complete, we didn't have a user with advanced knowledge to assist us in any changes. The product wasn't intuitive enough for us to customize ourselves, and found that over time, team members wouldn't collaborate on a project within QB because they found it "too difficult" or the interface wasn't intuitive. We use it to let our stores at different locations access customer information that is shared. Cons You need to have a base knowledge of databases. The software is not drag and drop. It empowers the non-IT users to be able to build and deploy solutions on their own. The product scales to organizations of all sizes, as they have pricing that works no matter the size of your organization. All changes are in real time or in a sandbox if you prefer. They have even built a dynamic connector that minimizes the process to connect to other external web based databases (e.g. Salesforce). Cons There are a few current limitations such as the ability to easily support eastern characters. However, if basing my review on what I need it for, which is Project Management, Estimating and Accounting, it would take a lot of time and money to 'become' close to what is needed and some features such as Estimating, would never be able to accomplish what we need on the General Construction platform. Pros The ability/option to customize as needed. The ability to add other modules and manipulate the user interface. Cons The lack of functions needed unless customized. Unless you have an IT person on-board or handy, it is unlikely that you will get the results you want without creating other issues. We had a dedicated employee with QB experience, to work on QB build-out only and even she had difficulty creating and modifying to make the program work for several different divisions within our company, all with different needs. Pros Nothing nothing nothing . It’s feels like 1990 MySpace you have to build it out like we kids with nothing to do but hook up our myspace page. So if you like that then its cool Cons Everything is bad. Reminds of a little 1990 websites when you had to do it all an know code or hire someone to know code. Should have went with Monday. We run our entire business using the tool. It has the capability to track most aspects of our business. Cons User functionality is less than ideal. Pros You don't have to be a programmer to create a database in Quick Base. But if you are a programmer, Quick Base offers many sophisticated options. Cons The "development sandbox" is not a true sandbox, because changes are not easily promoted to production. It’s easy to train new users to adopt, use and deploy solutions inside QuickBase. You have to know what the process is and how it can get the advantage of being deployed in QuickBase. Pros It’s an easy way to use and train inside the company to have a great start for an automated process that was isolated before in Excel files. We started with one of the downloadable templates and customized it to fit our needs. It quickly grew and worked great for managing tasks and issues, bug tracking, and change requests. Users picked up on the interface quickly so it was widely used right from the beginning. We were able to produce some nice reports along the way, making sure upper management knew the progress of the project the whole time. We've since went on to develop apps we continue to use for production and quality tracking, and have additional apps in the works. Pros Easy to implement, customize, and expand. Simple and clean interface. Easy to develop reports and quickly display them on the 'dashboard'. Cons I would like to have more BI tools but that's not what QB is intended to do.
