Pros I use Quick Base on a daily basis as a way of assigning tasks to integrators, quality assurance editors, and other members of our marketing team. I like it because in addition to providing details on all members on a project, it enables me to customize tasks depending upon who it is going to. Cons The software only sends a prompt when you manually ask it to; it does not prompt the team member if they are running low on time to complete the task. We hired a Quickbase Expert who worked with us to create a time tracking and project management portal that is perfect for our specific needs. We needed a better way to keep track of our clients, their tests, their payments, and workouts. I had looked at all the "off the shelf" applications that were 'designed' for gyms, and none of them did everything we needed. In a few weeks with QuickBase, I had a fully customized and functioning application for our business, and the feedback from clients is great. Pros Customizable to what you need and how you want it, (but you have to know what you want) Cons Pretty expensive if you are only 1 or 2 users, you'll have to find a way to combine efforts with other users if you are a less than 3 man shop. Director Education Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Quickbase as a practice management solution " July 6, 2019 3.0 Quickbase has taken us to another step in management of our growing practice and has allowed us to circulate some responsibilities easily as well as generate reports that can support a concrete understanding of the projects and programs that we are managing across the practice over time and by scale. Pros Quickbase offers an overall troubleshooting solution for our organizations practice management needs which has allowed us to move from a bottlenecking of administrative processes ranging from client relationship management to reimbursement processing for consultants. Cons Its not super user friendly and there are limited bells and whistles. Its not well connected to other services or applications that we use, google and trello as examples of what would be useful but are not included for this application. The fact that you can log in and see your data from anywhere with internet access is great. The ability to input data via mobile phone is awesome as well. Pros Great software that allows multiple users to access and update the same database. We use it to track service visits, and have our service advisors track free oil changes throughout the dealer group. Cons The price was raised per user. We are not a huge company so the price jump almost caused us to discontinue use. Support is great, but it would be nice to get in touch with them immediately, instead of having to open a case and wait to hear back. They typically respond the same day and can resolve the issue, but they can only resolve one issue at a time. Review Source SG Sanford G. Data Center Technician Financial Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Quick Base Has Been Good To Us" August 26, 2020 5.0 With QB one of the main things we use it for is to track inventory. This is used on a daily basis by the team and is an efficient way to manage may of our assets. There are other reports that we use QB for and it is a good way for us to communicate with our team without having to send multiple emails out. Pros QB is pretty easy to learn and use. We can put a new person in one of our modules and show them how to use it straight away. There are more advanced features that we use but those are also easy to come up to speed on. Cons The only issue I have had with this is customizing reports that I have already created. It took me a little bit of time in order to find out how to do it and when I tried to do it again I had forgotten how I had done it before. Pros Flexibility, but with nice chunky building blocks, so you aren't making it all from scratch, mostly just configuring useful pieces. I just feel you really do need dedicated resources for QuickBase if you wish to maximize the benefits of all the updates and releases. If you have a technical background, QuickBase also provides code pages for even further customization of the functions and interface. The interface is quite intuitive and directs users to the buttons they need to perform their actions. I attribute the successful adoption patterns to the simplistic user interface. The interface looks more like a web application and less like a DIY database. The platform is a perfect alternative to Microsoft Access or Excel. I utilize features like automated emails, workflows/business logic, and custom dashboards with reporting to ensure my users always have the information most important to them. I have built QuickBase apps that support hundreds of users and core business processes, many which are custom to the industry or organization, replacing the need for ERP functionality. The applications I have built, enable businesses around the world to capture, share, report and collaborate as teams providing a centralized single-input source of business-critical data. QuickBase is easily scalable and allows businesses to connect their Applications to other cloud-based data sources. Taking QuickBase beyond its native capabilities is easily achieved with customized programming and support from QuickBase Developers who can make QuickBase function at the highest levels in business. Pros Easy to build, fast to deploy with plenty of online, community and Developer support. QuickBase is a tool to replace other data-entry software and programs. Cons Do not expect QuickBase to be a replacement for business-level Accounting software such as QuickBooks, although QuickBase can be integrated with Accounting software in different ways. Those who are administrators to this system don't seem to confident with it either. Pros As an end user on a public state government site, once logged into system, forms are easy to fill out when they appear. Cons I'm not sure how much is Quick base Octo, but this system seems more cumbersome for what it is. The state government uses this system for inputting stormwater information, and it is a big pain to do. Sometimes the correct sections don't appear until after you "submit", then you have to go back and redo. Everything should appear at once. The logic is off. Cons Certain features are lacking such as: No availability to just choose a color for a field and or text. It is simple to use and offers a variety of reports. Cons I wish it had a history check feature so we could see who edited a entry, when it was done, and what was changed. The last time I used it, it was such a pain to try to build anything. Now, with this new update, everything is easier and more intuitive.
