### "The Power of Quickbase and it's Flexibility"

December 12, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been great. There are very few days that I don't use Quickbase and find new functions and abilities it has for me to share data with others in the form that I need. They have also implemented AI which is a great help.

Pros

Quickbase allows great flexibility it can be as simple or complex as I need it. Their customer service is very good and there are also many online sources to help you develop the database you are needing.

Cons

There is a learning curve in Quickbase that may take some time or training to fine tune your data. Searching the internet will allow you to find many free and pay sites to help you train yourself to use as you need.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Quickbase

Viewpoint is too complex for most employees and not flexible enough.

### "Solid App, But Needs Better Interface"

January 13, 2026

4.0

I use Quickbase at work for information and marketing, appreciating its centralized access to all my sources and tools, which facilitates in-depth information and collaboration. However, I find its interface a bit cluttered, suggesting the use of centralized planning tools to improve usability. I integrate QuickBase with Microsoft 365 and found the initial setup satisfactory, rating it 4 out of 5 stars for recommendation.

Pros

I like QuickBase because it has all of my sources and tools in one spot. I also find the in-depth information and collaboration with other colleagues particularly useful.

Cons

I think QuickBase is a little cluttered. One way to solve this may be using centralized planning tools could work.

### "If you dont rely on BIM, this is for you"

December 4, 2025

4.0

As a firm with heavy BIM usage, it was not a very realistic option, but it offered things we liked. I think it would work for small projects.

Pros

Loved the ability to make custom apps and workflows along with data models with minimal coding. Customizable so it fits around us better.

Cons

We felt like it had not much specialty. It felt all very superficial at times, and we couldnt figure out how to use Bim/3d model support.

### "Great customization!"

June 3, 2025

4.0

Wonderful set up and support from the initial set up team. Has the ability to be extremely customized to the needs of the company but can be a challenge to get corrected when something goes a miss.

Pros

Very customizable, certifications make it easy to see which employees have a greater understanding and who to turn to for any IT issues.

Cons

Can be complicated to fix if someone accidentally or unintentionally altered a report or function of a spreadsheet.

### "Robust System for Smaller Businesses"

February 4, 2025

4.0

Recent updates have been critical in making QB stay relevant. Having to click between so many screens is a design error of our own making and undoing many of the changes and "upgrades" done internally has been problematic. Robust system when used as it should be.

Pros

The ease of use and ability to navigate throughout the system.

Cons

That it can be changed and customized by users without regard to overall flow and process.

Overall, Quickbase has been a good addition

Pros

December 17, 2024

Easy to use maintenance tracking features and purchase order generating features.

Pros

I liked the log book and maintenance log feature of the app.

Cons

### "Customizable, Integrated All-Encompassing Software"

August 23, 2024

4.0

It has been a pretty good experience; my team has to use it every day and leadership relies on the reporting. We have made some improvements form our first iteration, so it has gotten even easier to use. I created my own "Kanban" view to track my own tickets and I hope to roll it out to the larger team.

Pros

I like the customizability on various levels; customizable views and reports, dashboards, data fields, etc. We integrated it with our database and customized our view of our assigned tickets. The color-coding is a nice feature and also very customizable in different places. The layout of the screen can also be adjusted. Lastly, reports can be built with a user-friendly front-end, and also allows for the user to write the logic themselves. We have not explored all of the features, but are happy with the ones we have refined for our purposes.

Cons

I cannot think of any, except that maybe if you click "Edit" on a record and decide not to make any changes and want to just proceed to the next record, it will force you to click "Save", even if nothing was modified and you just want to proceed to the next record already in "Edit" mode. The only way to proceed is to "Save" (which may or may not apply a timestamp) or "Cancel". If you click "Save", it may enter in a misleading timestamp. If you click "Cancel", it takes you back to the main screen with all of your records and then you have to click in to the next record that you wanted to edit. It is an unnecessary extra step it seems.

### "Just too complicated for what it does"

March 17, 2025

4.0

Was brought onto a project utilizing it. Eventually, was contracted to move data out of it and into MS SQL Server

Pros

It is a complex and well-rounded database environment, but setting up the information and relations seems very tedious, from the perspective of an experienced SQL user. A good quality and robust product, just so tedious.

Cons

The organization of fields, key values, forms, just seemed overly complicated and rigid. Importing and exporting seemed hit or miss with data anomolies.

### "Quickbase: The Low-Code/No Code Platform that Gets Results!"

August 9, 2023

4.0

Overall, Quickbase has done a good job at eliminating multiple spreadsheets that were previously used for project management. They are very receptive to clients' needs and actively encourage product feedback, so they continue to morph the product into an even better one.

Pros

Quickbase makes it simple to develop new applications and reports as the business needs change. The UI can be customized as much as you're willing to take it and it certainly beats having to use a spreadsheet!

Cons

Their Pipelines product (formerly CloudPipes) is a good way to automate processes within other QB applications as well as external systems, but it's still missing some features that are very nice to have (like real-time error processing and ways to rerun only certain failed steps).

### "QuickBase - Unbelievably easy to use, with near limitless customisation options"

June 21, 2023

5.0

It's been a pleasure to use. We switched from GoldMine, and everything from the initial data import, to rethinking how we approach our data layouts, its all been a breeze. Plus the third party plugin availability has been stellar.

Pros

Most CRMs are pretty good nowadays, but as soon as we saw the flexibility of the Quickbase setup... we were sold. Each department is able to have a completely different dashboard, with all the important data within easy reach.

Cons

Unlimited customisation is a daunting thing when you actually start thinking about how you want your interface to work. Thankfully our systems engineer was able to take our wild ideas and show how they might actually look. If we didn't have their help, it would have taken us a great deal longer to get the setup anywhere near usable.

Reason for choosing Quickbase

The others were fine, the looked and ran in a perfectly acceptable fashion. But as soon as we found QuickBase, with its customisation and simple connection with QuickBooks, we booked a demo, fed it some test data, and by the end we were ready to sign!

### "Quickbase apps are best when envisioned and built by the Business Users"

May 9, 2023

5.0

Education of internal Quickbase builders is key to bringing together the above ideas. Business professionals at your company can learn about and capitalize on Quickbase's foundational building blocks with the help of a teacher. Say your company needs a particular app ASAP, and you don't want to go through the traditional iterative cycles with IT professionals to build it. Rather you prever to ask a Quickbase teacher to help YOU do the work. You can learn the basic Quickbase underpinnings as much as you feel comfortable with. When you get to parts that you don't know how to build, just ask for more knowledge, and you will be surprised how fast you can absorb the wizardry of Quickbase. Obviously there are some parts of complex apps that might benefit from building by fully vested Quickbase consultants. However, just by knowing the basics of how Quickbase works, you will be interfacing with those consultants much more efficiently and rewardingly. From my IT / Quickbase teacher perspective, the most powerful part of Quickbase is teaching Quickbase builders on the inside of companies. I help them to build their dreams. Dreams that only they can envision, as they are the most experienced with the business details. Many of my successful Quickbase consulting engagements have lasted five to ten years in length, and started with a client who wanted to learn. It is better for everyone involved. Your end-users will enjoy the interfaces better as well.

Pros

I have worked with databases for thirty years, but Quickbase stands apart from all other platforms I've used. Because Quickbase is low-code, non-IT professionals can master it. In my previous platforms, IT professionals (me) were required to do most if-not-all implementation and configuration. However with Quickbase, a company's Office Administrator, Quality Controller, Production Lead, Project Manager, Event Planner, etc can be the core builder of apps. After all those people know way more of the day-to-day operations of the slice of the business. We IT professionals spend our time learning and working on databases, but Quickbase is so accessible by non-IT folks that their hands-on building can greatly enhance the end result of all data app builds. If your company makes high-end medical equipment, then would you rather have the Head of Quality Controller be the lead architect and builder of your QC apps, or an IT professional who has zero experience controlling your product quality. Would you prefer to meet your Quality Controller at the water-cooler to discuss new specs in a few spoken words, or to relaying your thoughts through that person via Powerpoint specs to the IT team? It is a blessing to have people who drive the company also drive the vision and outcome of Quickbase apps.

Cons

The thing that scares people about Quickbase is that it is so unlimited in what it can do. Users can build process flow, CRM, inventory management, personnel onboarding, and construction project documentation apps; the possibilities are endless. That can be a bit scary for a prospective new user who only wants one thing, and they want it now. They might not have the patience for a platform that can be everything to everyone in their company. And yet, adaptability is what makes Quickbase so great. Users can knit together widely disparate parts of their company on the single Quickbase platform, with world-class ease of use.

### "A Comprehensive and Cost-Effective Software Platform: My Review of Quickbase"

December 7, 2022

5.0

Overall, Quickbase has been very useful in helping us to create custom games and applications quickly and easily. It has enabled us to create custom forms and reports, allowing us to collect and analyze data more effectively. Additionally, the cloud-based platform has allowed us to access our data from anywhere, making it a great tool for remote teams. Finally, the API has allowed us to integrate Quickbase with our existing business processes, providing us with a powerful, efficient solution.

Pros

I like that Quickbase is easy to use and highly customizable. It is a great tool for creating custom games with a wide range of features and options, including mobile access and an API for developers. It also has a great support system and helpful tutorials to help you get started. The fact that it is cloud-based also makes it very convenient and accessible.

Cons

One of the things I like least about Quickbase is that it can be difficult to integrate with existing business processes. It also can be challenging to set up custom forms and reports. Additionally, the mobile access feature is not as robust as I would like it to be. Additionally, there are some features that I feel are missing, such as the ability to customize the user interface.

[Zoho CRM](https://www.capterra.com/p/155928/Zoho-CRM/)[Dynamics 365](https://www.capterra.com/p/157279/Dynamics-365/)

Reason for choosing Quickbase

I considered a few alternatives when purchasing Quickbase, including Zoho, Salesforce, and Microsoft Dynamics. However, we chose Quickbase because it offered the most customizable features and was the most cost-effective option. Additionally, Quickbase had a great support system and helpful tutorials to help us get started, and the cloud-based platform made it easy to access our data from anywhere.

We made the switch to Quickbase because of its ease of use and customizable features. We wanted a platform that would allow us to quickly create and manage our data and applications, and Quickbase was the perfect fit. Additionally, the cloud-based platform made it easy to access our data from anywhere, and the API allowed us to integrate with our existing business processes.
