Linking to Quickbooks saves a lot of time. Easy to send end-of-year IRS statements. Allows fund tracking.

Cons

Sometimes an exact match search doesn’t work, so you have to do a broader search and select the correct record to update.

I used to have Neon as our CRM. Unfortunately their software updates began counterproductive and the cost too high. Unfortunately, Neon required using their payment processing and their software updates seemed to be targeted for mid to large size nonprofits.

Pros

The customer services is so nice and easy to work with. Night and day compared to our last CRM.

Cons

Integrations can be challenging to execute.

Really helped our small non-profit “step up” from excel reports to a database environment. Easy to run letters, year end tax statements and top donor reports.

Pros

ELEO provides a ton of functionality and organization at an incredibly reasonable price for small to medium nonprofits. Their onboarding process to import all data was very comprehensive and there are many ways to customize the platform to make it easier to access and grow donor support. The best part is the email support - my specific queries have always received detailed instructions from the ELEO support team within hours.

Cons

Would love to be able to run a report on Monthly donors or be able to add our logo to templates.

We needed a CRM with a complete suite of tools that also fits our small nonprofit budget. ELEO fits the bill and then some! Customer service is amazing, the support in their online library is extensive, and ELEO does everything we need it to do at a price we can afford. If you're shopping around for a CRM database, this is the one!

User-friendliness, support videos and library, sooo many reports

Cons

I really don't have any cons; there are a few tools that I haven't used yet, so I guess it's possible I could find something. But honestly, nothing comes to mind.

Before Eleo we could not generate monthly thank you receipts, and we had to maintain a separate Excel spreadsheet of newsletter subscribers in order to email them through Mailchimp. Now we have one database that's easily filtered on gifts and donors so we can quickly generate thank you receipts, and email our subscribers. Their customer support team is very knowledgeable, kind, and patient, and also open to suggestions on how they can improve Eleo. We're astonished at how they can provide all of these features at such a reasonable price, and our donor base has been rapidly growing since standing up Eleo - thank you Eleo!

Pros

Eleo is very intuitive and easy to use. Initial set up and onboarding went smoothly with help from their awesome support team. I initially trained our admin, and moving forward, she has been able to figure things out on her own. We use Eleo's easy to create web forms for donating, contacting us, volunteer interest, and to subscribe to our newsletter. We record donations, reconcile them with Quickbooks, generate thank you receipts, and email subscribers through an integration with Mailchimp. We also find it very easy to generate reports on donors and gifts, which we use heavily for grant applications, budget planning, and financial reports. Recently, we used Eleo's event module to plan and organize our annual fundraising gala, and it was the most successful ever!

Cons

I had to do a minor workaround in the event module to organize entree choices.

We have been able to provide updated and real time reporting to both customers and funders. The software also allows us to ensure fairness in our job selection and placement processes as well as provides us with amazing payroll results and supports. As an agency we rely on the software and the providers over at CSS to make us successful and to date they have not disappointed.

Pros

The software has amazing usability and runs awesome reports. The ease in customizing it based on our needs makes it ones that makes it #1 in line with other competitors. We truly have no idea what we'd do without it.

Cons

We have no issues or complaints with the software.

Our overall experience with ELEO has been excellent. It is easy to use and learn, and I am confident that Customer Support, especially \[sensitive content hidden\] will assist me with any questions. The webinars are very helpful.

Pros

Using ELEO we are able to track donations, generate mailings and reports from one product. The Customer Support and training materials are superior. \[sensitive content hidden\], Client Support Specialist, has been our "Guardian Angel".

Cons

I have not encountered any "Cons". Any questions or items needing clarification are always addressed by training materials in the library or by one of the Customer Support team members.

Pros

I love that Eleo is all inclusive. Their payment play is not based on how much you use it but how many contacts you have. Even though we fit in the lowest price point we still get all the amazing features. Plus Eleo is constantly sending out information on how to use their program. Its almost as if it is unlocking new features every month. It general Eleo is very user friendly and intuitive.

Cons

My one complaint if I had to have one is that couples are only listed by one person's name and then the other is listed as a spouse. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] are listed as \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and spouse \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]. You can search \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] profile will appear, but you won't see \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] name until you open the donor profile.

Number one reason customer service and Eleo would grow with us while not costing us a small fortune.

Eleo fits our small (4 employee) non profit perfectly. As we began to grow our donor base, we realized we needed more that a spreadsheet but all of the other databases were overwhelming. None of the other ones we researched fit our budget or seemed like a reasonable way to scale our organization. Eleo has given us a way to collaborate, track donors, create events, and manage communications. Eleo has allowed us to grow as a team, as an organization, and in our mission.

Cons

Our team has felt overwhelmed at times with all of the options that we don't understand. However, the customer service and trainings are incredibly helpful!

### "Our first donor management software"

Prior to using Eleo, we had been using basic spreadsheets for donor management and tracking. Eleo has allowed us to manage all donor information in one place and further map out a strategic plan for fundraising.

Pros

I absolutely love all the capabilities Eleo has for organizing data and customization. Being able to input our own campaigns, appeals, and funds allows us to use Eleo's features to fit our specific needs. The customer service is impeccable and I appreciate how quick and easy it is to get assistance when needed.

Cons

We have yet to encounter and issue with Eleo! My only "complaint" would be that the system can run a bit slowly at times, but I imagine this is to be expected with any software with a high volume of data, not necessarily just Eleo. Other than that, I have no complaints about the software or our experience.

We cannot say enough positive things about the product and the customer service.

Pros

It was so easy implement Eleo and learning how to use it was a breeze. Between the excellent customer service and wonderful training materials, we were up and running immediately. The program is very user-friendly and intuitive and the features cover just about any situation we’ve encountered. The reporting features have helped us to improve our fundraising.

Cons

There are no cons! We are very happy with all aspects of Eleo

Pros

This software is fully functional, with all modules included in the price. No having to pay for adding in a volunteer module, and events module, a grants module, etc. It's cloud-based, and there is no limit to the users. The support from ELEO us absolutely SUPERB! Call, get a person, get an answer. They don't charge you extra for it. They provide lots of training videos and documents as well as offer one-on-one trainings by request... none of which they charge for. They also didn't charge for the initial import/transfer of my data from our old software. Couldn't be happier. This is an amazing piece of software, especially for the price.

Cons

I'm still relatively new to this product, so any 'trouble' I'm having may very well be yet my own lack of understanding on how to do something. I do wish it switched from one screen to the next more quickly, though. Minor issue when compared to all the positives.

Eleo is very easy to use. As a new user and non-tech person, I have been able to teach myself how to use Eleo. When I do contact the support team they are very quick to respond and happy to help. At previous organizations I have used Raisers Edge and Bloomerang. I find Eleo much easier to use and it is a fraction of the cost! I have not found anything that Eleo is missing in comparision to the other software programs.

Cons

Online webforms are very basic. I would like to see a nicer donation form.

Pros

Customer support!! I am so delighted to talk to a real person when I have a problem. They are always quick to solve things. They also take our suggestions and try to incorporate new tools into the database as they make sense for organizations like ours. Ease of use- I have used and implemented 4 other databases at various non profits and this has been the easiest getting started with and training other individuals on. Functionality- We are able to track donors and pull useful reports. Integration- We are able to make custom webforms easily and targeted to specific uses.

Cons

Emailing using the database. I love that I am always able to track back what I sent out using the database but standard email products have so much more flexibility and versatility. I know that ELEO is always looking to improve functionality.

Pros

This product is super easy to use, even for coworkers for are not tech savy. If you ever had a question, their customer service team responds super quickly to assist with whatever you need.

Cons

There are a few negatives and kinks to the program. The first is that not all fields are able to be customized which makes it a little tricky trying to navigate it to fit the needs of your organization. I have encountered a few kinks in the program and mentioned it to their team and within a few weeks the kinks were fixed (i.e. not being able to soft credit a pledge payment or link a pledge payment to an event).

I have been recommending ELEO to my small to midsize clients for over five years. Those who chose to sign up with ELEO are still customers. They have been happy with the features provided and the cost.

Pros

Eleo's team makes the onboarding process very easy. If you take the time to clean up your data and put good information into ELEO you will be able to manage and use the information to grow your nonprofit. ELEO has modules included for free.

Cons

The dashboard is not as slick looking as other software - but it does not effect the performance.

Eleo is as beneficial to me as any database system that I've used in the past at much larger organizations. It satisfies the donor information needs and offers the ability to retrieve, update donor information, and follow-up with donors through various appeals, letters, newsletters, or other communications with great ease.

Pros

I've worked with large foundations that were established decades ago and have thousands of donors. These institutions have donor database software systems that are outstanding. Moving to a much smaller but equally worthwhile foundation less than three years ago, I met with Eleo representatives and found them to offer a high quality system that equaled my experience at larger institutions. The ease of learning and using this system, the costs for this product, and the utility of this database system are all outstanding. In addition, their personal support of any questions or needs that arise is also outstanding!

Cons

That Eleo Online wasn't established earlier! The Amy Foundation was established 11 years ago and all donors records were kept on excel spreadsheets, all of which was accurately incorporated with exceptional ease into the Eleo system.

As a small nonprofit, every expense is carefully considered and Eleo was a wonderful alternative to expensive competitors like Salesforce or Donor Perfect. The customer service folks are friendly and they also have a great blog for fundraisers.

Pros

Eleo is hands-down the best donor management software for small-budget nonprofits. All the features that you need without the unnecessary and pricey flare.

Cons

The software isn't as visually appealing as major donor management solutions and can occasionally be clunky, but nothing major. Still a great product.

We were previously using an Excel sheet to track thousands of donors \*cringe\*. Unfortunately, most donor databases were way out of our non-profit budget. Eleo is not only affordable, but was incredibly user friendly and quick to learn. On top of that, the customer service is fantastic. I receive a check-in email from one of the staff on a regular basis and if I have questions, she promptly provides an answer!

Pros

The reasonable cost (especially compared to other databases) and ease of use/quick learning curve.

Cons

It would be nice if we could use the internal thank you feature by uploading our logo and customizing. However, we are still able to do this with a mail merge, so it's not a huge loss.
