“One major limitation of the software is the lack of native 360-video integration, which restricts creators who want to build immersive or VR-style learning experiences. ### "Articulate 360 is undoubtedly the best among e-learning authoring tools"

January 5, 2025

5.0

Despite some shortcomings, it is undoubtedly the best among e-learning authoring tools. I believe that the pricing for the recently launched AI assistant feature is reasonable compared to the functions it offers.

Pros

Even non-developers can unleash their creativity to create e-learning content. The interface is similar to MS PowerPoint, making it easy and quick for anyone to learn. By using the software, users can develop logical thinking through the trigger wizard.

Cons

It is not compatible with MacBooks; a virtual machine is required to use it on a Mac. The speed of the created content is not very fast and feels somewhat heavy. As a Korean, I find that support for the Korean language is lacking in areas such as text input, font compatibility, and TTS provision.

Reason for choosing Articulate 360

Articulate 360 supports higher versions of SCORM and has better LMS compatibility.

I have 5 years of experience using the Storyline I enjoy the ease of use and beautiful interface Articulate Review is especially beneficial when working across apartments and gathering feedback from the client.

Pros

The application suite is feature-rich, intuitive, visually appealing, allows developers to publish content in multiple formats. It has great accessibility tools, and great customizations

Cons

The price can be prohibitive for small businesses. Improvement of the integrated voices for text to speech. It is also not a cross-platform package. Would appreciate a Mac version.

### "Innovation with Simplicity in Course Creation"

August 11, 2026

5.0

Overall, I have had a great experience using Articulate 360. It is easy to use, has many helpful features, and makes course creation more efficient. I have been using it for almost four years, and I have seen many improvements, including new features and useful shortcuts. Although it has some limitations and can be challenging at times, its regular updates and continuous innovation make it a reliable and effective tool for developing e-learning courses.

Pros

What I like most about Articulate 360 is its advanced features and user-friendly interface. The platform is easy to navigate, especially with its well-organized ribbon layout. I also appreciate how the timeline and triggers are designed, as they make course development more intuitive and help create content that is easy for learners to understand and access. I have been using Articulate 360 for almost four years, and during that time, I have seen continuous improvements in its functionality, including the addition of useful shortcuts and enhanced features. Overall, I admire how innovative the platform is and how it continues to evolve to meet the needs of course developers.

Cons

One of the aspects that Articulate 360 can improve is their software, it should handle a lot of functionality. For example, there's a lot of slides and triggers, sometimes the software lags, making it hard to save the file. And maybe some advanced features can have a learning curve especially to new users (gotta lookout for new users).

### "It does what you need it to, most of the time"

November 13, 2025

3.0

It’s the industry standard. If you’re an instructional designer, you will have to be familiar with the Articulate suite. Is it the best/most magical product in the world? No, but it has name recognition and still holds a virtual monopoly on the market. It gets the job done, with some frustrations along the way. Their more recent feature rollouts have been pretty solid, so I am cautiously optimistic about the future of their offerings.

Pros

It does the job you need it to, which is course creation. Rise is great for rapid elearning development and Storyline is great for more interactive type trainings. The text to speech voiceover and the localization features are exciting.

Cons

It is a very slowly evolving product, and the Articulate team often prioritizes more gimmicky features over responding to the requests of their users.

### "Industry-Standard E-Learning Suite That Excels in Interactivity and Ease of Use"

August 11, 2026

5.0

Overall, Articulate 360 is the gold standard in e-learning development for a reason. It allows our team of instructional designers to handle virtually any client request, ranging from simple, policy-based compliance training to complex, branching customer conversation simulations.

Pros

The combination of Storyline 360 and Rise 360 makes for an unbeatable toolkit. Storyline offers flexibility for creating complex, highly customized, and interactive simulations or scenario-based training. Rise 360 is incredibly fast for developing responsive, modern, text-heavy courses that look great on any device without needing coding knowledge. Even better with vibe coding.

Cons

The cost can be prohibitive for freelancers or small teams compared to other authoring tools. Also, while Storyline is powerful, its user interface feels somewhat dated and can be buggy at times; advanced logic requires a relatively steep learning curve.

### "Versatile Learning Design Tool"

November 12, 2025

5.0

Overall I love the product and has so many possibilities outside the box. It’s great because the indents customizable features really allows your imagination to run free for all learning possibilities that you can image.

Pros

The versatility outside of the primary design intention, allowing more engaging and creative learning experience.

Cons

Lack of movement of backlog enhancements (such as supporting alpha channel videos). Every time I do run into a frustration I usually found a work around but most of the support is from other users not the company’s there response is typically (put the rest in) not put the request in and here is possible work around…

Pros

Updates and upgrades are responsive to requests by users, ease of course creation, providing review links to stakeholders is easy and capturing their feedback is easy even when they’re not a user.

I’m a former user of Captivate. It doesn’t compare to this. My overall experience with Articulate is an A+ plus. This software has actually been life-changing for my company as well as my department.

Pros

Very intuitive, easy to use, great return on investment, the localization chunk has saved time and money

Cons

The AI assistant needs some work; however, I realize it’s relatively new. In the short time it has been available for our use, they seem to be continually adding improvements. I look forward to the future.

### "You get what you pay for"

December 23, 2025

4.0

Pros

I used the Rise 360 platform within Articulate 360 to author a course for asynchronous teacher training on an educational technology tool. I liked that I was able to quickly and easily create a professional looking course that included all the features I wanted. It allowed me to create required checkpoints, use a variety of features, and export to a Moodle instance for completion. Customer support was responsive and answered my questions. I like that there were lots of options within the suite, including the more in-depth video creation and detailed interactive tools available in Storyline. Rise was sufficient for my needs.

Cons

The price - it is very expensive to subscribe. I tested it out on the free trial and while it's excellent and probably the highest quality on the market, the cost is absolutely out of reach for small private schools, independent consultants, and other small-time players. It's disappointing that excellent tools aren't available if you don't have a huge budget.

### "Reliable tools for fast, clear training"

November 13, 2025

5.0

My experience with Articulate 360 has been strong. The tools support fast development, clear training, and simple collaboration. They help me build consistent content for technical audiences and keep training up to date with process changes.

Pros

The tools are easy to learn and fast to use. Rise helps me build clean, structured courses without extra design work. Storyline gives me the control I need for simulations and interactive practice. Review keeps feedback organized so updates stay simple. The suite works together in a smooth flow that saves time.

Cons

Rise limits layout control when I build technical content. Storyline takes more time to update when courses grow. Media compression in Rise lowers the quality of detailed images and videos.

### "Simply the Best"

November 18, 2025

5.0

Having used Articulate 360, and particularly Storyline for close to a decade, after extensive use of competing products, it is the best choice in an authoring program for eLearning, The functionality, which includes layers, triggers, states, and variables provides a flexibility and creative possibilities that can’t be found in any other authoring tools. The customer support is amazing. Their eLearning Heroes community is responsive and supportive far beyond anything I have experienced from any other software company. And it keeps getting better, with continuous significant, upgrades, including AI now build right into Storyline.

Pros

Versatility: can be used to do about anything I imagine. Storyline provides a group of features I can't find in any other authoring program: layers, triggers, states, and variables

Cons

Hard to get a seat at their presentations at conferences. The learning curve goes on forever, but that's really a good thing, because Storyline can do so much.

Been using the programming in platform for 2 1/2 years as they continue to upgrade it's become a better product and easier to use

Pros

Allows her personalization and customization of all learning content to meet our audience needs. Also allows us to hit each of our various employee lines like technicians, managers, and leadership.

Cons

Some barriers when it comes to integrating with our current LMS system. SCORM files present an issue when it comes to linking and updating content within it.

### "Articulate is a Great Authoring Tool"

September 12, 2025

5.0

Pros

Articulate 360, especially Rise, is so intuitive and makes creating engaging eLearnings easy to handle. Rise makes creating eLearnings fast and effective, while Articulate Storyline makes custom courses possible. If you can imagine a scenario or interaction, most likely Storyline can make it happen. Articulate is also always making improvements to its creation process, whether through AI capabilities or the ability to enhance accessibility for all learners.

Cons

While Rise is changing a lot and becoming more customizable (especially with custom blocks), there are still aspects (like text over images for flip cards) that would be beneficial. There are a couple of things that I have seen mention or asked about in the Articulate community that have not been addressed in road maps, despite users asking about them years prior.

### "Pretty Good Pretty Pretty Pretty Pretty Good"

November 14, 2025

I sometimes enjoy it and am sometimes frustrated. It's very powerful. But it feels like it lags behind modern times sometimes. I would like to make training that looks more like YouTube and Tiktok

Pros

Lots of people use it, review tool is easy to use. Allows for custom JavaScript and xAPI. Can create beautiful courses. Custom block in Rise looks dope. Rise is a nice tool for content developers who have weaker graphic design skills.

Cons

Branching in Storyline is very hard I need dark mode in Storyline development because I get migraines. Accessibility should be for designers too. Can't get question banks transfered from external vendor in Rise Replay video functionality breaks quiz review, I want to make more video exams, plz fix

### "My Go-To Platform for Building Online Courses"

October 30, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Articulate 360 has been very positive. It’s an easy-to-use platform for creating online training courses. The tools work well together, and I like how Rise 360 helps build modern, responsive courses quickly, while Storyline 360 gives me the flexibility to design more interactive and custom content. Collaboration through Review 360 also makes it simple to collect feedback and make improvements. Although the price is on the higher side and there’s a bit of a learning curve with Storyline, the overall quality, support, and regular updates make it worth it. In short, Articulate 360 has made my course development process faster, smoother, and more professional.

Pros

The tools are user-friendly and Rise 360 lets you build beautiful, responsive courses quickly. I also really like Review 360, which makes it simple to get feedback and make changes without confusion. Overall, it helps save time and makes course creation smooth and enjoyable.

Cons

Storyline 360 takes some time to learn - it’s powerful but not very beginner-friendly. Sometimes the software updates can be large and take a while to install, which slows down work a bit.

### "Great products with a fantastic community"

October 22, 2025

My experience with Articulate 360 has been positive overall. The tools are easy to learn and implement. Storyline is a bit more challenging, but it’s very rewarding with something works out as intended. There’s also a ton of resources and a great community that provide excellent guidance and support.

Pros

I like the ability to create interactive sand engaging eLearning content for my learners. The suite is perfect for making short courses (Rise) and more in-depth courses (Storyline) depending on timelines and content.

Cons

I would like to see the AI tools more accessible to everyone with a 360 license instead of San additional add-on. Moreover, I think Rise can be a bit more customizable; allowing users to deviate from set theme colors. That said, the new custom blocks are great!

Pros

Articulate 360 has been a versatile and powerful tool for our learning programs. It enables quick course creation, interactive learning, and seamless collaboration, making it easier to deliver high-quality, engaging training experiences.

Pros

Pros

Storyline is the best in the business—no comparison. I love how you can make it be as much or as little as you want it to be. From a simple point and click course to a complicated game, Storyline is the best.

Cons
