Pros The interface is one of the cleanest we've worked with, and it actually works! (Which is something unfortunately didnt happen with some other alternatives) Flows are easy to create, user profiles are really complete with all the info on a specific contact (if you have an ecommerce integration active) Cons It does have a learning curve, but they provide plenty documentation and online courses to learn how to use it from beginner to advanced user. I have several clients with whom I have implemented the tool and at least 40% of sales are thanks to the flows, registration pages and campaigns that I have implemented through Klaviyo. Indispensable if you want your online store to be successful. Pros The ease of use and ease of implementation with Shopify. In addition to the excellent tools for attracting customers, such as registration forms, automated flows and email campaigns that you can segment in great detail so that each message reaches the right customers. Cons The only problem is that for the Latin market, messaging via WhatsApp is more important than SMS, as the app does. This is something that needs to evolve if it wants to improve in the Latin market. Many of our email campaigns have been very successful. Pros Klaviyo is one of the strongest email management products available. They have incredible segmentation and customer insights. Cons Klaviyo is very expensive, and it's not very easy to take your insights along with you if you leave Klaviyo. Pros Klaviyo is easy to do with everything, the connectivity is effective and the data that ensures the sustainability of its flow covers all the details and allows customers to be targeted as required. I love the ease of creating digital campaigns, as there are plenty of templates suitable for everything. Klaviyo enables us to segment customer lists into multiple sub-lists, and this is important for the success of segmenting campaigns to ensure the achievement of their goals. Cons With Klaviyo, after the correct connection with the platforms, all subsequent steps are very easy, as targeting is done in real time, and the frequency of messages can be easily adjusted from the settings. I've really enjoyed Klaviyo and think that it is the strongest ecom email platform on the market for Shopify merchants. The customization of emails is relatively easy, it has robust feature sets for additions like reviews and sms, and their flows are a hugely important piece to generate passive income. I'd recommend Klaviyo as long as the person onboarding new tools understood how pricing structure works. Pros We like to ability to have a strong integration with Shopify and how easy it is to sync lists between other platforms and Klaviyo. Cons The hardest things about Klaviyo are understanding pricing around profiles, and how to justify the growing cost of the platform when competitors are starting to flank them on pricing vs features. Customer service is amazing and so readily available via chat and they do seem to possess a great degree of knowledge about the product and its functionality/capabilities. Was amazing to see our automated message flows come to life and go out to our customers! Pros Our product, an educational and habit-building micro-content program, required a way to send lengthy (50-100+ sends), localized, and automated flows via SMS and email to global Shopify purchasers. They were the closest platform we found to delivering as we envisioned. Customer service was very helpful in helping us find solutions to problems and aid in our solution design. Cons We experienced issues with contacts being overwritten when multiple sign-ups/subscriptions came through the same form. We also noticed that due to how long our flows were, the flow editor became extremely slow. This reduces the need to duct-tape other tools together and helps deliver a more holistic experience for both the operator & consumers. Cons SMS is a huge brand opportunity for many clients and can drive a high ROI. However, credits for brands outside of the US are on average 2x more expensive which does erode the return. If Klaviyo could find a way to standardise/stablise credit costs between countries, more merchants outside of the US might uptake vs other competitor brands. The documentation in Klaviyo Academy is amazing, other platforms give you articles, Klaviyo give you videos. Integrations work great, event if it takes a couple of minutes to trigger the actions. Cons They have a small delay in user-triggered actions. You can integrate with many many tools, but be patient with the triggers. Sometimes you may think you automation is not working properly but it's just that Klaviyo is taking a couple of minutes to pull the information from the third-party tool.
