We have been using Karbon since 2017 and it's the one tool we can not do without - we love it! It keeps our team aligned, our jobs on track and our team communication on work and with clients in one place. As we've grown it's become even more important as the visibility across work, deadlines and client interactions are super important and are available at the touch of a button. Karbon really transformed the way we operated all those years ago and they continue to invest in their product to make sure we stay ahead of the game. The Karbon crew are absolute legends and dedicated to helping you succeed too, support is amazing. They genuinely care about delivering a world class product. If you are serious about growth and running your practice efficiently Karbon is a must have in my view - can't recommended it highly enough!

Pros

Work and Task visibility and collaboration (within team and with clients). Karbon are also proactive with research and development and are always improving things which is great

Cons

Honestly there's nothing that stands out to me right now, I can't imagine running my practice without it.

I really love working in Karbon and find it relieves the stress of managing many jobs at once in different stages of completion. It's design is great and looks good on all my screens. It would be my number one practice tool.

Pros

Karbon is easy to use although very comprehensive in its accounting practice management solutions. I have great visibility over all my work and clients and especially love that I can allocate email to work items via the triage function. Karbon also allows me to create excellent automated checklists and this allowed me to get through and complete work much faster than before. Karbon also has excellent integrations which I am only beginning to explore.

Cons

Nothing really. Karbon is a great product and always improving so even in weaker areas new features are being added and improved all the time.

We have used Karbon for many years, and it continues to be an invaluable asset that greatly supports our business.

Pros

We love the task and workflow management—it keeps all our client tasks well organised. Having a dedicated customer support person is also extremely helpful.

Cons

There are only minor issues, which are gradually resolved as the product is regularly reviewed and updated.

I really enjoyed using it to send client reminders, utilized the contact system, tags and reminders to coworkers

Pros

The work flow process that you can create, the tags you can add coworkers to an email, you can assign task and mark completion

Cons

Not able to save documents to a portal that clients need to submit for bookkeeping and accounting for record keeping

We were fortunate to attend their 2025 Karbon Next conference and we are confident that the right leaders are in place to take Karbon to the next level in tech and AI. We are very satisfied with the software and the future of Karbon!

Pros

Karbon was the missing puzzle piece in our tech stack. We have now been using Karbon for one year and it has been a game changer for our firm. It has given us the visibility we needed in our workflow management, budget management, time tracking, and reporting. We would be lost without Karbon!

Cons

none- I can't think of anything at this point.

Karbon is a great software program and source of truth for all task & client work. It has many functions and the use of AI inbuilt to summarise emails and communications is a great time saver.

Pros

Features such as AI summarising communications, emailing clients direct from Karbon, task summary boards, assignees, comment features to collaborate and ask questions to colleagues

Cons

The formatting in the task sections can sometimes be a bit clunky and you need to select on multiple areas to edit or change a task detail. I feel this can be improved to find the right balance between ensuring the content is not accidentally written over but is easier to edit sections for efficiency.

I like the fact that it is integrated with many other software including outlook which makes it easier to just one in one system. The fact that you can communicate with internal and external people in one subject line which protect communication or sensitive information. The way it organize and automating a sequence of tasks to streamline operations and maximize organizational goals.

Pros

Its user friendly, how it helps in planning and managing tasks. It also keeps documents and information safe. The way it helps our customer to also upload documents using the link and how customer get the support through it.

Cons

The rearrangement of emails and notifications and reminders. The affordability while it giving a lot in return.

Overall I'm very happy and would highly recommend it to firms that are big enough to use it and get their money's worth. It will change your workflow management if used and set up the right way.

Pros

I like the fact that is just makes my work life much easier in terms of efficiency and feeling in control. Karbon really centralises a lot of things and also just makes filing and finding information way easier. In essence it manages my workflow way better than any other software I've used

Cons

Nothing really jumps out and comes to mind, but if I had to find something, I'd say there are small things that used to bother me, but I also got used to it or in some cases Karbon updated their software and now the issues were resolved. Thus it shows how the customer support is also great.

Love the innovation that keeps coming and love our BDM. They are constantly looking at new and better ways to make it more efficient for us

Pros

The best feature for our team is Workflow Management, what a relief to be able to know where each work item / job is at for each client. The Task Management really help with not forgetting some of the simple things that need to be done. The fact that all the files and documents are stored in one spot and they can sync with our Dropbox is awesome.

Cons

Sending emails can be patchy at times and slow at times and there are times when you're just sitting there waiting for example a "Forward email" to load
