Sometimes the rumors affect the overall thought of the program but it all comes down to the user. Pros The value for the money and customer support is phenomenal. The ease of use is outstanding compared to other products. Cons The only con I have is they can sometimes be aggressive and potentially unethical sales tactics that have been floating around in conversation. The HR functions work very well, and the favorites and search bars help remedy any UI path concerns. PeopleSoft has been reliable and we have found it to work well. Pros We have used Oracle PeopleSoft as the basis for our system for at least 15 years. It has been used as student-facing software as well as for HR purposes. It has been adaptable to a higher education setting and has generally been very reliable. Cons There can be a learning curve to using PeopleSoft and there are some paths to pages that aren’t the most intuitive. The favorites function works well to remedy this. I have seen some downtime during peaks of traffic, but this could be with well-over 20,000 users logging into the network at once. I am unsure as to the architecture, of the set up, so this may actually be more of a local server issue within our system. Pros I LOVE ALL THE FUNCTIONS THAT ARE AVAILABLE AND HOW USER FRIENDLY THEY ARE. I FEEL THAT ANYONE WOULD BE ABLE TO NAVIGATE ORACLE. Cons I WOULDNT SAY THERE WAS ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR THAT I DISLIKED BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE THING THAT I LIKED THE LEAST IT WOULD BE THE OVERWHELMING OPTIONS.
