### "ShipStation review "

April 17, 2026

5.0

The platform’s greatest strength is its ability to centralize orders. Whether you are selling on BigCommerce, Shopify, Amazon, or eBay, the sync is nearly instantaneous. It eliminates the manual labor of jumping between different marketplaces, allowing us to manage every shipment from a single, unified dashboard.

Pros

ShipStation Review: A Decade of Reliable Scaling After 10 years of managing logistics through ShipStation, it has remained the backbone of our fulfillment process. Transitioning from a small startup to a high-volume e-commerce brand requires a platform that evolves alongside your needs, and ShipStation has consistently delivered on that front.

Cons

Prices went up in recent times and it's a bit high for our volumes at the moment. Other than that it's been always reliable

### "Great platform to get shipping quickly!"

July 11, 2025

5.0

Overall, I was happy with ShipStation when we used it exclusively for all of our shipments. We still use it as a backup when our other platform goes down for maintenance or some other reason.

Pros

ShipStation is fast and easy to learn and set up. This is a great solution for getting up and running quickly when syncing with your Shopify store.

Cons

I wish the rate shopping feature was available on the base plan. We ended up switching to another platform for the rate shopping.

Alternatives considered

Response from Shipstation

July 15, 2025

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we truly appreciate it. We’d love to invite you back to ShipStation to take advantage of our free version of Rate Shopper, which makes it easy to compare carrier rates and choose the best shipping option for your needs. If you have any questions about how it works or would like help getting started, we’d be happy to have someone reach out directly to walk you through it. Thanks again, and we hope to have the opportunity to support your shipping needs again soon! Best, Hunter

Pros

Super easy to use and integrates really well with our shopify site for live rates at checkout and was able to easily create a custom integration with netsuite.

Cons

While there are plenty of carriers on there, it does lack quite a few in Australia that would be nice if they had.

### "Confirmed bug corrupting order data for 9 months with no fix"

April 24, 2026

1.0

ShipStation used to be a fantastic platform, but the changes they've made recently to cut costs by downsizing and offshoring their support have been very worrying. We used to love

Pros

Being able to ship and fulfill all orders accurately and in 1 place. It is fairly easy to use for both regular users using the UI, and advanced users utilizing the API.

Cons

Broken integration with our listing software causing all order totals to be inaccurate. Poor customer service (we reported the bug to them 9 months ago with no resolution despite it being a major issue that is corrupting order data). ShipStation's ChannelEngine integration incorrectly reads tax-inclusive line item values from ChannelEngine's order payload and then adds tax again at the order level, causing every order to appear double-taxed. This flows directly into connected accounting software. I reported this in August 2025. ChannelEngine's Senior Support Engineer confirmed the bug in writing on the ticket in September 2025, identifying the exact field mapping error. ShipStation acknowledged in October 2025 that the issue had been escalated to their development team. As of April 2026 — 9 months later — it has not been fixed. I escalated directly to ShipStation's \[sensitive content hidden\] and Auctane's \[sensitive content hidden\] as well as 2 \[sensitive content hidden\] of Engineering this week before going public. Several Auctane executives viewed my profile shortly after — no response. The fix requires changing one field reference in their integration code. The support team is responsive but completely powerless to move this internally. If you rely on accurate order financial data flowing through ShipStation, be aware this issue exists and may affect you.

I sell products on multiple online marketplaces and shipstation was the official product I used to ship from

Cons

Not great - we used globalpost as a delivery option for some of our packages (a subsidiary of shipstations mother company) And the packages took 3 months to arrive. Had to get a refund and refund our clients.

Pros

### "All around best shipping tool"

April 3, 2026

5.0

Overall, ShipStation is a fantastic tool for managing shipping/tracking with multiple ship vendors. Accurate cost references, detailed tracking, detailed customer data, and efficient support are a few of the many reasons this tool exceeds expectations.

Pros

ShipStation combines all the necessary shipping and tracking tools needed under one roof. While being a fairly cost-effective solution for warehouse teams, it is pretty robust. Setup is incredibly simple, which plenty of guidance from customer support!

Cons

The tool can be a little bit of a resource hog on more basic thin clients and lower hardware spec'd workstations. It does exactly what is needed though.

### "Makes our store run smoothly!"

April 30, 2026

4.0

Overall, ShipStation has been a reliable and effective solution for streamlining the entire shipping workflow. Once you get comfortable with the interface, it significantly reduces manual work and keeps fulfillment running smoothly. Even with a few usability challenges, it remains a strong platform that supports business growth and operational efficiency.

Pros

ShipStation offers a powerful set of tools that make managing orders, printing labels, and handling multi‑channel shipping far more efficient. Its automation rules save a huge amount of time by reducing repetitive tasks, and the platform integrates smoothly with many major marketplaces and carriers. The dashboard is organized in a way that helps you stay on top of fulfillment without feeling overwhelmed.

Cons

Despite its strengths, ShipStation can feel complicated when you’re first learning the system, especially if you manage multiple stores or carriers. Some features are buried behind menus, and certain advanced tools require extra setup that isn’t always intuitive. Pricing can also become a concern for smaller businesses as their shipping volume grows.

### "ShipStation was great, until it wasn't "

I used ShipStation for a couple years until they added postage fees to my account that were not for my shipments and wouldn't help me resolve it.

### "Works Okay, Remote printing issues"

June 19, 2024

5.0

I wouldn't not recommend using ShipStation, but the integration with the Rollo printer was annoying, specifically on the Mac. It didn't have issues integrating with ecommerce platforms like Shopify or Amazon, and was reliable for sending the correct data and receiving the full and accurate orders.

Pros

It integrated well with Shopify, Walmart.com, Etsy, eBay and Amazon.

Cons

It had connection issues with the remote printing option and Rollo. I would have to frequently disconnect and reconnect the software. The cost jumps up rapidly after 50 orders, and during my off season, if I'd forget to downgrade, I would pay a lot for services I wasn't using

If you have an issue with a package you shipped on shipstation with UPS, you are out of luck. You can't open a claim on UPS because you used shipstation and shipstation won't open claims on your behalf.

### "Can't get it to work to even start and live chat support is really bad"

May 22, 2024

2.0

My overall experience? Very stressful and upsetting dealing with unqualified support staff who wasted my time and got me nowhere. This, to me, says a lot about the company. What happens after our store goes live and something breaks? Will it be down a week because support is non-existent? Or can I trust a company to build a quality product when they won't invest in quality help? I hope they and others like them are listening. This is not just ShipStation. Companies need to realize the importance of good support. It can make them or break them. I'm off now to find a company with good, well-trained support that has a good command of the English language. Do they still exist?

Pros

The ai chat bot was great. Very well trained. I was excited, but could only go so far before I needed a human. Then things went to hell. Never could get it working to know how well it works.

Cons

There are many problems and the labels were misleading so it was impossible to know what the real problem was. Is it a bug? Is it misconfiguration? Is it just something I don't understand because the explanations on the page weren't clear? I couldn't say and live chat was not helpful at all. He couldn't understand the simplest questions so after 2 hours of trying to get the app connected to our store, and Loom video after Loom video I made to make it easy for him to comprehend, I had to give up trying. Even though his vocabulary was large, it's pretty clear, because of his lack of comprehension, that English was not his first language. But if he knew his job, the language shouldn't have even been a problem. If the shipping app doesn't connect to your ecommerce store, and I showed him pictures to make it crystal clear (it said no shipping options), he should have been trained enough to know what to do to fix it. He didn't even understand the question.

### "Best in class order management, but inventory management is flawed"

March 3, 2023

5.0

Positive. I've tried numerous competitors, but keep coming back to shipstation for just doing the business of shipping things flawlessly. If they would add inventory syncing and kitting/bundling, this product would be literal perfection.

Pros

The workflows, batching, labelling, general UI and UX and the user-centric engineering make it obvious this was designed by product managers who have done ecommerce, rather than their competitors who are software engineers first and have no clue what store owners actually want.

Cons

The inventory managenet is one way; anything you sell on any channel will decrement Shipstation's inventpry, but it won't then push the new stock count out to connected stores. Also therefore no support for kitting and bundling. They recommend you check out other integration partners but most of those cost 300+ per month which is 6x what I'm paying for Shipstation. They have competitors who offer these features free or cheap, but the competitors lack in the order/shipping management features.

### "Easy shipping with room for improvement"

January 7, 2025

4.0

Overall, ShipStation is a solid choice for businesses looking for an easy way to manage their shipping. It has good tools for handling orders, labels, and tracking, but it might not be the best option for businesses on a tight budget or those needing advanced features without paying extra.

Pros

ShipStation makes it simple to manage shipping for your online store. It connects to many e-commerce platforms like eBay, Shopify, and Amazon, letting you print shipping labels, track packages, and manage orders all in one place. The platform is easy to use and saves time by automating many shipping tasks.

Cons

While ShipStation is great for basic shipping, it can get expensive as your business grows. Some features, like advanced reporting and certain integrations, are only available on higher-priced plans. Also, the customer support can sometimes be slow, which might be frustrating when you need help quickly.

Great experience, great customer service, friendly design, and our customers love to use the tracking feature!

Pros

IT IS AMAZING! So hard to choose! So fast, it is seamlessly automated to my client's shopify store. IT is amazing to see, the customer orders, shipstation opens her order, makes a label, and sends us a shipping receipt. Then, we pack and send the item.

Cons

Pros

Shipstation is great for our warehouse associates as they see our orders come in and even provide status updates on how long the shipment has been in the queue. It is also great for even providing Sales Reports and Shipping reports.

Cons

There was a bit of a learning curve for Shipstation for our specific standard operating procedure but it works regardless.

Reason for choosing ShipStation

Shipstation is affordable and plays well with our overall techstack.
