Pros

The ease of having everything in one place for accepting orders and invoicing is nice. It is time saving and convenient.

Cons

The pricing "per document" is a little ridiculous if I'm being honest. On top of what you already pay monthly seems like overkill. A one price per month would be easier in my opinion and more cost effective for our company.

Customer invoicing and inventory tracking are made simple.

Pros

It's intuitive making it easy to learn/understand. The main categories are big, bold and easy to read. The search feature works well.

Cons

It takes more "clicks" than necessary to pull up the desired document. I'm always having to use the search feature to navigate the site. I prefer their older format.

Pros

I don't like this software, although some of that maybe because I am the dropshipper for a website and don't have control over it

Cons

The steps. Even with having someone go through how to make it better, its still SOOOOO many steps. You do the same work 3 times and you still have to manually make the shipping labels and no packing slips

Pros

Allows us to work with larger retailers (Nordstrom, Stitch Fix, etc.); the portal also keeps all documentation in one centralized location that we can reference

Cons

A lot of manual work (especially the advanced ship notices) could easily be removed through a spreadsheet upload but imagine that the SPS team won't build this feature so that you have to pay them to integrate with your 3PL

Pros

Ease of use of how to use the software and being able to see that the invoice went. Since the upgrade, it is a much better system and easier to invoice.

Cons

Not being able to see payment status on Invoices submitted through the system

Reason for choosing SPS Commerce

It is what 3M and Basin where using and were asked to use so we could invoice them at the time.

It simplifies all of my EDI services.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use and navigate. It takes about 30 minutes to learn and get up and running. Customer support is great and gets back to you within a day.

Cons

I am hard pressed to find anything that I do not like about the software. The new software really addressed the issues in the previous software.

SPS has been great by allowing integration for invoicing to our customers which frees up time and makes accounting of invoices easy.

Pros

Easy to use and never any downtime. Customer service is great when needed and quick to respond

Cons

When down several levels deep in options to go back up 1 or 2 levels cant use back button have to go back to beginning and drive back down.

We pay for this service , it is an added cost to do business, no savings there, also we spend more man hours on inputting orders then ever before, no advantage for us using the SPS, we do use other EDI Platforms that are much more user friendly, and do not have the problems that SPS has.

Pros

I really can't think of anything that stands out .

Cons

Lack of support from SPS, we have had and still have issues with bugs in the system, the SPS people just can't seem to fix the issues, and are slow to respond to these issue. It is difficult to correct pricing, and when a deduction is taken from our invoice we get no response on what it was for, or if it is going to be paid back. Not user friendly.

Without SPS's integration with NetSuite we would not have been able to gain Big Box Store customers.

Pros

It's easy to add partners and new setups.

Cons

For customers that are invoice only in EDI, adding new items to their cross reference table is cumbersome. Wish I could do it myself.

We were very frustrated with the new format as we were use to the older format and felt it was complicated unnecessarily with the new format. Although the side bar with navigation pane is very helpful on the new format.

Pros

I like the way the navigation shows to the right side. Originally you had to go back to another screen but now it is located in a much more user friendly area.

Cons

SPS changed it format a year or so ago. I preferred the older format. It was more stream line. This could possibly be familiarity more than anything but we still feel it was a better format.

It is easy to use. The representatives are awesome when you call they jump right on with you and help. This is good for me LOL

Cons

I have no con with SPS software. It is awesome again if there is ever an issue I call they fix but it really is never with the software it is with the driver.

EDI functionality and ease of set up with new Trading Partners. We save time daily with t he EDI services provided by SPS Commerce.

Pros

SPS WebForms solution is easy to use for all departments. Saves us time on a daily basis.

Cons

Sometime we would like some modification for our side, but that would require all users (other companies) to buy in as well.

Pros

There are ZERO PROs. These is absolutely nothing about this software that is good.

Cons

Clunky. Takes too long to save changes. Unnecessary steps needed to make the software work. Customer SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!

Pros

Flexibility, user friendly interface. Ability to integrate with GP Microsoft Dynamics. Auto transfer from one system to another.

Cons

The software is well built. Once you understand the purpose for each function and view it becomes easy to use.

Not great. The system was okay but the support was not very good. If they had better support, I would still be there. I canceled my plan.. which also was not easy and unsatisfying

The support to set up my items was great.

Cons

Difficult to set up with customers' websites

Reason for choosing SPS Commerce

A few of my customers said they were using it, but it ended up, that they only need excel flat sheets.

Easy to download orders into QuickBooks and upload invoices Common system in use by all our EDI customers

Costly to set up for just one customer - sales need to justify monthly expenditure

Can save time time but also can give you a headache when things are not working properly, ESPECIALLY during peak times like Christmas. For the money, you think the bugs would be worked out and not happen every year.

Pros

The ability to generate shipping labels with in the site is a time saver. Being able to invoice through the site is also nice and a time saver.

Cons

When it gets bogged down, orders can fall through the cracks, things don't send in a timely manner. This mainly applies to Target. Rarely have issues with Cabela's. Very expensive.

It helps to streamline the po/order process.

Pros

It is intuitive and helps us to refer to other PO's that have not been processed or if we have questions on a PO.

Cons

Need to allow for you to update the "Item Accepted", ship date, and acknowledgment of all line items (not available with ADI acknowledgements), at one time. PO's with multiple line items becomes time consuming and not able to acknowledge all at once (i.e WESCO acknowledgements). Also need another field in the acknowledgement to add notes.

Cons

Prefer to leave Master Data on the ERP side. That being said, we are implementing a change to make this happen.

I was always able to effectively see our vendors' orders, invoices, and claims. It's easy to use and logically laid out.

Pros

The support team for SPS is world-class. They have always provided prompt support and they seem to always understand the root cause of the issues at hand, whether user-related or system-related. Our vendors use SPS as a platform as a pragmatic approach to business solutions and it delivers with a user-friendly platform.

Cons

I would say that it suffers the same problem every shared platform does: it either sacrifices flexibility to cater to certain vendors, or it sacrifices customization to cater to all vendors.

The best part of SPS Commerce is their team. Our account manager, fulfillment on-boarding team and the ERP integration team are all amazingly knowledgeable and patient! We had a large number of EDI customers to move over from another VAN in a short period of time and adding new customers every month. Our SPS team is always quick to respond and start testing.

Pros

SPS Commerce Fulfillment is very easy to use and easy to learn for EDI newbies. I love the pop up tips under certain fields. The GUI is pleasant to look at and use.

Cons

I would prefer if the turn around documents automatically filled in certain fields from the original PO automatically.

Pros

customer support is fairly prompt. did take a while to set up, but the staff were very responsive and professional, and once set up, we did not have any issues

Cons

some quirks now and then in the import file, like an odd backslash that prevents the text file from importing

The best part of installing and using Vantage Point is their customer service. I'm no EDI expert, but they certainly are. They have been quick to respond, knowledgeable, and polite in all of my dealings with them.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything that I don't like about Vantage Point.
