Pros

We appreciate the ease of use. Everything is automated and we hardly ever have to communicate with our customers for any questions. The customer service team is always helpful and able to answer questions quickly.

Cons

We do not appreciate the inconsistencies between companies. SPS is a great platform but the process is not the same between customers. It is sometimes confusing working between customers and the information that they require is so different.

Reason for choosing SPS Commerce

We chose SPS Commerce as our go-to EDI based on our customers' process.

I have been able to meet all of my EDI trading partners, customers, and users needs for both mapping and reporting. It is a powerful EDI software.

Pros

I like the ease of integration with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP software and the ability to utilize SQL scripts. When I need support my issues are always addressed promptly and professionally. The training and implementation assistance that I received was very thorough. We have needed to upgrade our ERP software and move our servers to the cloud and the Data Masons team was knowledgeable and the transitions went smoothly. They are always very helpful and accommodating.

Cons

There are a few quirks but nothing that can't be worked around. I understand that many of them have been addressed in upgraded versions.

When we were using SPS Commerce as the hosting system for all of our EDI transactions, the response time to get a problem identified and resolved would require MANY phone calls, tickets and responses to tickets and transferring tickets between departments and the delays before simple map changes could be applied. Something would work yesterday and today it wouldn't work. It was difficult to find out what had changed at SPS and get it fixed. No sense of urgency for transactions that required timely delivery. Today we just use this portal for those customers that are hosted on SPS Commerce.

Pros

You can see the stages of the document and have visibility to all parts of the transaction. Screens are easy to navigate and there seems to be more customization options now that I don't use this software as often anymore.

Cons

Inability to re-send or correct and resend documents, and researching old issues. Communication of failures in the past has been an issue.

The Data Masons implementation and managed services teams are well-versed in the Vantage Point EDI system. I would recommend both teams and the EDI system, Vantage Point (Data Masons' EDI system).

Pros

Integration with ERP system, Dynamics 365 F&O; automates the exchange of high-volume customer and vendor transactions

Cons

Data conversion was extremely challenging and the first few months post Go-Live were spent cleaning up data in light of exceptions. This isn't a software issue but a recommendation to ensure master data is clean and is thoroughly tested before standing up Vantage Point.

Reason for choosing SPS Commerce

Recommendations from D365 (ERP) implementation partner and D365 customers, i.e., Data Masons' experience with integrating Vantage Point with D365; skillset and experience of Data Masons team, positive feedback on reference calls.

### "EDI Truly Made Simple"

Pros

The system is easily configured to meet the most challenging business needs. The customer support and consulting staff are not only experts in EDI integrations but also extremely helpful in the education and training of users. The scheduler allows you to automate all the inbound and outbound workflows and only deal with exceptions.

Cons

There is nothing not like about Vantage Point EDI. The ease of use and the ability to integrate without having to make ERP modifications is what sets the solution apart from others.

I like the fact that SPS Commerce is available 99% of the time that I need it. And if I do need tech support I get assistance within a hour of the request.

Cons

No, Its very easy to use, the Help feature works to identify any errors and a large number of my customers use the product and they have no issues either. This should be the industry standard for EDI.

I find SPS Commerce easy to use. they continue to update and add features that improve on some of their short comings. The customer service / help line is very good. Can take a while to get a hold of someone but they are very nice and very helpful.

Pros

Easy to install and work with. Very user friendly. Customer service is very helpful.

Cons

can be unforgiving. send documents with mistakes. Cant correct without redoing the entire process.

Pros

I took over a position and was new to SPS Commerce. As a new user, when I came across a question, customer support was very responsive and answered all of my questions. They also noticed a more efficient way for me to use the system when there were multiple activities needed for one client and they took the time to train me which saved a lot of time in the long run.

Cons

Haven't found anything I like least. All issues I had in the beginning were simply my lack of knowledge.

To early to tel but what we expect is a streamlined EDI process requiring minimal intervention and no errors

Pros

We haven't had chance yet to fully integrate yet so it will be some time before we can comment fully on what we do and don't like re this software. On the webforms startup it was more difficult to use than our previous provider but I think that's a lack f training up front but once this was organised it was better - Point do a better job in this area we should not have to chase

Receiving order, shipment & billing at one go makes this platform one of the best systems to work with.

Pros

If your sales depends on customers placing online orders, SPS Commerce is a one stop solution. One of the best tech companies to work with, expertise team, easy to use platform which performs day-to-day activities efficiently. It saves loads of time to do your other important functions. Best part is third party integration.

Cons

Sometimes, even though the system shows the order has been completed, but its is still shows incomplete at customer's end. Also, looking for historical data takes time and effort. It would be better that the price would come down a litlle bit.

I'm in a support role, so I support those who use SPS daily to process orders. When they have questions, I sometimes reach out to SPS Commerce Support on their behalf; I also contact SPS to help fill in gaps in my understanding, or with a technical question. I'm very pleased with the support I've received, which helps me in my role with end-users.

Pros

I especially appreciate the SPS Commerce Support hotline. Whenever I need help, they're always there and have never disappointed. The staff is very professional, helpful and patient.

Cons

I use Ad Hoc Reporting on the old platform to check for errors, and was told there would be new reporting on another platform. Did I miss an announcement about this?

Pros

The thing that I like the most is the ability to have certain fields have preset information so you do not have to complete for each form. This saves us a lot of time when processing invoices and asn's.

Cons

Customer Support function. I like that you can do a live chat however, I do not like that it can take sometimes 20 min - 2 hours before receiving a response. If you have to navigate away from the page in SPS you will love the chat until your return and click on the chat bubble.

Pros

WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE SOFTWARE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN HELPFUL IN CORRECTING THE PROBLEM MOST OF THE TIME.

Cons

MANUFACTURING NOT LISTED AS A BUSINESS THAT WOULD USE THIS SOFTWARE WHEN A PURCHASE ORDER IS REFUSED OR NEEDS TO BE ACCEPTED BY THE CLIENT, IT STAYS ON THE SOFTWARE AS STILL BEING EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED OR IS MANUALLY DELETED.

Since using SPS Commerce Fulfillment the way that our company receives and sends orders has been simplified and it allows multiple employees to access information simultaneously.

Pros

I like that the way SPS Commerce Fulfillment has a check system prior to sending a partner information. It allows for corrections that cannot be made once information has been sent to a partner.

Cons

I believe that the software would benefit allowing partners to be aware that different partners have different requirements for information to be input into the system. It would be beneficial if the invoice batches had dollar amount totals per group similar to the count of total invoices sent.

Makes processing customer orders so easy and it's a great place to have all our orders stored in one spot. Customer service is really good too!

Pros

I LOVE that SPS integrates with our accounting system, so I can import customer orders with the click of a button. I wouldn't want to work without it! It's easy to use, the navigation is very user friendly, and I like that is has all my documents in one place. Customer service/support is great and they are always willing to help.

Cons

On the rare occasion, it can be a little slow and/or glitche, but that is probably my own internet more than anything. I do wish that there were page arrows at both the top and bottom of pages. Currently, you can only switch to the next page by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page. When the pages are so long, it would be nice to have that option at the top too!

Pros

In the produce industry EDI is very complicated. I've used Vantage Point in other industries and it pretty much worked right out of the box. We faced many challenges in implementing electronic EDI and needed a partner who 1) already had customers & experience in our industry, and 2) had the technical expertise to adjust Vantage Point to our needs. Data Masons and Vantage Point met this critical requirement.

There was noting in particular that we didn't like.

Pros

Nice user-friendly interface, EDI documents are easy to create and send. I also like the dashboard feature when you log in.

Cons

I can't access or see the raw EDI data for documents. Customer support doesn't seem to understand their own software and will take a while to help solve a problem.

I can quickly and easily print and submit required shipping documents such as packing lists and ASNs. Doing so allows our company to continually support our customers' growing needs.

Pros

I appreciate the ease of access and quality of service. It is easy to use, and also easy to get in touch with support members when needed.

Cons

Not recently, but in the past, there were issues with Java updates and being able to access certain forms. That would be my only complaint, but even this has not been relevant recently.

We are able to conduct EDI-transactional business with our largest trading partners because SPS already has established, existing relationships with them.

Pros

Easy to use, very reliable. Upgrades have been fairly straightforward. Support has been VERY rarely required often because it works well.

Cons

Setup costs and onboarding procedures could be easier. Although mappings exist for many partners, there is still a surprisingly large setup fee for new partners.

Able to do business with major retailers, without worrying about software and technical expertise. We are able to approach retailers and tell them we are EDI compliant, knowing that we will be able to setup without problems.

Pros

Reliable, virtually no problems regarding chargebacks. I also like the UPS integration a lot. It simplifies shipping and shipping time. Highly customizable to fit users's needs, bulk edits, and bulk submission of up to 100 invoices.

Cons

It often logs-out user, and sometimes works really slow. It doesn't warn you if a transaction did not get acknowledged by partner after say 24 hours. We manually have to check every transaction once a day to make sure it got received by partner.

Licensing is inexpensive. On premise install rather than cloud helps reduce costs.

Cons

All new trading partner on boarding projects run over time and over budget; very slow development process. Product does not scale well to a large number of transactions. Software is overly complicated. Support is generally slow in resolving issues.

So far I love it as it works great, and is very easy to use and user friendly. I wish more of my customers would use this software to make my life easier.

Pros

I love the fact that you can put your email in this software and it alerts you to anything new in the portal to be aware of. I also love how easy it is to receive PO's from customers and invoice them all in one place.

Cons

I wish it was easier to search for my customers, as sometimes it doesn't find who I'm searching for.
