Since we signed our contract 1 month early per our vendor, they have decided to change their EDI start date and SPS will not prorate the months we are not receiving orders. It seems like a logical customer service support accommodation considering it was beyond our control and they will not honor anything in that realm. The disservice only comes across as money over customer benefit.

Pros

The customer service chat function was very easy and representatives were always easily accessible and friendly.

Cons

If 1 product is out-of-stock, the process of having to give a multi-step status for each and every product is very time consuming and seems redundant.

### "Changes in SPS"

So as I mentioned above, it worked, past tense, fine before they decided to "improve" it. I have no idea who or what was the impetus for the change.

Pros

I like the ability to pre-fill forms , like the ASN form, in the preferences mode, which speeds up the process of filling the ASN out as in many cases, the information stays the same.

Cons

They changed something in the last 2-3 weeks , and now instead of being able to complete an ASN, and roll right into the next one, via the transactions page, I now have to go to the dash board and then re-select 'Ready for Shipment', and then scroll down and find the next shipment. Not helpful at all.

### "SPS Good overall Solution"

SPS has been great to deal with. Highly recommend. Simplifies the whole EDI process.

Pros

Integrates very well with WMS system. Very seamless.

Cons

If a transaction doesn't get sent to our WMS system there is no way for us to have the file resent. We need to contact support. Support however is very quick to respond. Seems like an unnecessary step.

Pros

it worked fine but the cancellation experience clouded everything with them

Cons

i tried canceling for months for connections we no longer were using. they wouldn't respond to emails and kept charging our business. they did not put the customer first by refunding our business even with proof we haven't been using those connections and wanted to cancel for some time

### "Love SPS Fulfillment!"

Pros

I love how user friendly the software is! It was a seamless transition with lots of resources and tools. Customer service is ALWAYS super friendly AND helpful, which is hard to come by these days!

Cons

When I click on a new PO I'd like to be able to toggle from tab to tab however the page changes entirely so sometimes I have to go back and forth too much.. Other than that I love it!

I am 10+ year user of VP, with each version the tool gets easier and more consistent across the UI, we are able to provide 100% of our customer requirements.

Pros

Seamless integration with our ERP software, the support team is very responsive and very flexible when mapping to our trading partner non-standard needs

Cons

The interface needs a little more consistency across the whole design but overall easy to navigate and use

Pros

Relatively simple. Layout helps you find what you need for the most part.

Cons

Bad business practices. My outfit only needs this software one quarter out of the year, and stopping service is always more complicated than it needs to be. The cancellation process takes at least a whole month for some reason, so we end up paying for an extra month or two each year. I can't see any other reason to do this except to squeeze a few extra dollars out of their customers. This process can be easily simplified to flipping a switch. Also, the search function isn't very well built.

### "Customer Service Guaranteed. "

They have been extremely helpful with sending and recieving EDI orders. They offer great CS for any issues with sending or creating and ASN or ucc-128 labels. Most issue are resolved in quick and efficient manner.

Pros

This is great for a small business not ready to take on full EDI set up. They are great about on boarding and assiting those of us in CS that are given the opportunity to make it easy to learn a third party platform.

Cons

It can be a little overwhelming to learn EDI without any back ground.

### "SPS Commerce "

We use SPS commerce to receive information via EDI and transfer that data into our systems we use. We also transfer data back to our vendors using SPS.

Pros

It is very east to use and search for items sent over EDI. With SPS I am able to find items from this morning or 6 months go. It makes researching old items in my system easy.

Cons

Their is much that I don't like about this software.

### "My SPS Experience"

While I appreciate the user friendly software, I am greatly dissatisfied with the customer service. I called over a week ago to rectify a small issue. Out of maybe an hours worth of a phone call, i must have been on hold for 40 minutes. I was transferred back and forth because people weren't sure where to send me. At one point I could be transferred BACK to the dept that transferred me in the first place , so I had to call back and sit on hold for another 15-20 minutes. My issue is still not resolved. I have called multiple times and left messages and over a week later, I still haven't gotten a call back for such a simple fix. And the one time I did speak to someone they guy kept over talking me and not listening. It took 30 minutes for him to realize what I was talking about, and that I was not the one who just "wasn't getting it" because he wouldn't let me finish talking.... I work in a fast paced environment/call center. I don't have time to sit on the phone for long periods of time and deal with issues being dragged out... I'm very disappointed.

Pros

Navigation could be simplified, however the software is very user friendly.

Cons

There are multiple steps to be taken to accomplish something... for instance, even getting to the fulfillment homepage can be tedious.

We migrated to Data Masons as we converted our legacy ERP system to Microsoft. We found Data Masons’ experience with Microsoft AX 2012 and D365 to be a real plus and found Data Masons to be a great partner as we made the conversion. With minimal in-house EDI staffing, we rely on Data Masons for the majority of our day to day EDI support.

Pros

The Data Masons’ support team is extremely responsive in resolving our EDI issues. They’ve been great in keeping us updated as they work on support issues. We’ve found the Vantage Point software to be very easy to use, particularly in monitoring daily activity. Error correction is a breeze. Much easier than our previous software.

Cons

We expect any minor issues we’ve seen with Vantage Point software will be resolved when we upgrade to the latest version.

### "Customer Support really lets this business down"

Poor. We are looking into alternatives as we can't trust them with our major accounts.

Pros

Integration was easy & the integration team was professional and helpful.

Cons

The customer support in Australia is abysmal. I've made a handful of requests, of which it's taken a minimum of a month or so for their teams to respond. Twice I've had issues and sent multiple email requests to my representative that have been entirely ghosted for months at a time. He will miraculously find my emails once I loop in members of the US team, with whom we also have an account. His supervisor does not respond or assist in any way. I thought it was just that he was a dud but I've since had similar issues with their accounts team (my entire account was pulled due to late payment caused by an error in their own software despite me desperately emailing them over and over again to try to give them money) as well as their technical team. We got an email from their technical team this morning, three weeks after we submitted a ticket saying our quite serious issue with a large account was 'filtered into their backlog'. Their customer service issues are clearly cultural and cannot be resolved without a major overhaul of the business.

Reason for choosing SPS Commerce

Price. It turns out that you get what you pay for.

Pros

I like that it's easy to use and that it alerts you when you have a new document to review. I also like that you can archive documents and view them later.

Cons

Sometimes there is an error that a document hasn't been acknowledged and I have to call customer service but they are always very helpful.

The ease of receiving PO's and invoicing via EDI. We do not have it linked up yet to be received direct, but it is our hope this year.

Pros

As a company that was EDI capable, this was huge for us. Prior we were paying for these services and now we may offer EDI to new customers we onboard.

Cons

I have no complaints. The only customer issue I have is on the customer, not SPS.

Reason for choosing SPS Commerce

I don't remember the other company we were looking into, but, SPS came highly recommended.

Consistent data and help!

Pros

It's the industry standard and so many of our customers use it. The improved Webform Fulfillment is user friendly and intuitive. The chat feature is helpful.

Cons

Not all our customers use SPS and it does not integrate with QuickBooks Online. Sometimes the sales and implementation teams use jargon I can't follow.

Pros

This software does the job expected of an electronic data interface. Allows for receiving, shipping, acknowledgment, and invoicing of orders.

Cons

The newest upgrade seemed to make it easier to use on the surface, but when needing to research or utilize beyond the first page, it became increasingly difficult

We use the SPS EDI every day, it has become an integral part of our business. Which has helped us streamline the customers who rely on edi communication. SPS Support has always been very easy and easy to contact and get a response.

Cons

Integrated with Netsuite was a steep learning curve and the setup took longer than expected.

It works properly and our users are able to master it quickly. The UI is logically laid out and easily navigable.

Cons

It is a cloud service with the typical reliability and security concerns associated with such a deployment. I know when Amazon Web Services are down, so is SPS Commerce and, perforce, so are we.

### "Ugly Divorce"

SPS is fine if you don't need assistance.

Pros

It is capable of doing what needs to be done.

Cons

Software is fine, support is beyond terrible. We made the mistake of assuming honorable business practices even while separating. They continued to invoice us and we continued to pay and they cut us off without notice, drag feet and give the runaround on turning us back on. We are on day 5 of being cutoff.

### "Worst EDI provider imaginable"

I wrote two letters to their \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] asking for answers to the delays and errors I was experiencing and received NO response! Do you really want to business with a company whose \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] doesn't respond to customers?

Pros

The sales pitch they use on companies is that their software will magically integrate with your 3PL and Quickbooks once a purchase order arrives from the customer! Don't believe it! Their software doesn't work as advertised.

Cons

Their EDI fulfillment portal constantly goes down. I signed up with them in July 2018 and 6 months later I only have 2 customers on-line in their web portal! It appears they are grossly understaffed. It appears that there is a few people in the entire organization that does EDI integrations with retailers. There are constant EDI error transmissions that require support. They appear grossly incompetent.

Pros

The customer is great and response time is usually very quick. The program is fairly straight forward and easy to use.

Cons

It would be great if there was a feature that saved information in fields you continuously use and input the same information. If there is that feature, I haven't found it.

Pros

Majority of national chain retailers require the use of EDI, and SPS is able to integrate with everyone we've worked with, making it an enabler for opening new accounts. Their team is also great at setting up new accounts. We send an email and everything gets taken care of.

Cons

Price and lack of flexibility. First off, the price can add up as you add more accounts. It feels more expensive than it needs to be especially since it doesn't help drive true revenue directly. We wish the fields were more customizable or that you can create actions based on event triggers.

Because SPS had the widest use amongst our retailer partners

### "Wonderful software and customer service"

We use SPS Commerce with all our vendor accounts for multiple clients. Amazon Vendor Central is our biggest business and SPS has made it possible to manage everyone quickly and easily in one system.

Pros

It's so easy to use and navigate. We have multiple team members accessing multiple client accounts within SPS and it could not be more user-friendly. We recommend it to all our clients. Anytime we have issues we can hop in the chatbox and we have them resolved within the day. The customer service is stellar and the software overall is SO good.

Cons

The software is near perfect. We did have issues with one of our account reps in trying to get the program set up, but it was quickly addressed and the issue resolved.
