It is very easy to send outbound email campaigns to our customers and it is very easy to track and monitor our email marketing activities with Braze. Pros What i like best about Braze is how customer support of Braze responds to our issues when you we contact them. Also, it is cost friendly making it affordable to all sizes of companies. Has made a huge impact on our business and still have some work to do to continue to improve that. Pros Easy to use - UI is intuitive, support is great and super helpful. Bonfire community is also a great resource. Cons The reporting on some features seems a bit glitchy / buggy. They only allow retargeting from certain campaigns after 3 months and I find you need a fairly in depth understanding of how things work in order to avoid race conditions. We've had some turnover with our CSMs, which I think slows progress a bit. The value you get out of it will rely on getting everything set up properly, but the customer service team is very helpful and always willing to answer questions. Pros The simple and effective A/B testing Capabilities for marketing campaigns is very easy to use, and offers quick and actionable results with minimal training. Cons Setup and dev work up front is key to have things up and running smoothly for a marketing team. A purely “marketing” team would have a very hard time utilizing this without some support from their developers up front to get the “plumbing” connected properly. Also, data tracking on some more complex campaigns can end up out of sync - ALWAYS verify conversion data with your own internal data and do not rely on Braze for more than a “gut check” on a campaign’s success. Pros Braze is extremely powerful as an engagement/lifecycle marketing. The feature set is vast, and it's ability to run complex trigger based experiments across multiple channels is really something. Cons Getting it implemented well can be tough. You need to have all of your events flowing through properly as well as make sure all the customers/users you want in there are there with the correct data. You don't want too much data or you'll hit your limits, and you don't want unneeded anonymous users or you'll be charged for those. Their product allowed me to segregate different email templates for high spenders, medium spenders, and low spenders. I was able to create an automation rule and send emails based on these different categories. I was able to create an automated lifecycle for email marketing. Cons The pricing is bit high in the segment and for services its offering. Its a super simple product to use and has a lot of functionality to improve segmentation and personalisation with ease. Pros The user friendly UI. Default segmentation, built-in functionality for personalisation with easy to use liquid code. Cons The proiduct times out quite often when calculating audience size. Pros Currently Braze covers all of the company's needs in terms of marketing and customer engagement. There are still features we didn't even get to setting up and using. The ability to create segments and target specific users is super useful. Tricking the results of campaigns is also straight forward and pretty advanced. But if you are planning to use Braze with Google Workspace and want to set up a secure login with Custom SAML SSO then look for another app. Pros Haven't used the customer engagement part I'm just the System administrator, but I'm sure its fine. Cons If you are using Google Workspace the Custom SAML integration is horrible. Usually the setup with other companies takes a few hours, one week if there are issues. But am now six months into use. The support is polite but unable to help us to solve setting up a Custom SAML connection. An issue we have not had with setting up Custom SAML SSO connections for other apps.
