Very positive. I haven't had the chance to interact with all the features and options, but what I've seen so far has thoroughly impressed me.

Pros

The amount of customization and messaging options, it truly exceeds expectations, I knew Braze was the leading platform, but now I know why.

Cons

The pricing model can be a bit restrictive at time, so there are instances where consessions have to be made about data collection.

The Braze team was very hands on with getting our team up and running. We have saved so much time on email deployments since moving over from our old ESP.

Pros

We were able to set up our platform and Braze to share data easily, allowing for seamless automation.

Cons

I wish there was a way to look at campaign performance at a glance more easily with a simple report tab that displays all deployments and there email stats.

data export tables difficult to handle, auto-save feature. New drag-and-drop box for emails could be better for easily excluding content based on device. Check box option to avoid sending on holidays or weekends

Pros

its intuitive interface and how easy it is to use different channels on just one platform

Cons

What I like the least is that sometimes things you can do are limited and need to find workarounds or get in touch with customer support to help achieve what you have in mind.

Limited experience to date but looking forward to using push and content cards. I love the click to enter functionality for promotions and look forward to more analytics.

Pros

Drag and drop functionality and the canvas setup. Reporting seems great. Click tracking has allowed us to run click to enter promos easily.

Cons

Some teething issues with drag and drop modules eg. no holding. Some issues with importing data points that are quite basic to us (navigating email as identifier).

Braze has a lot of flexibility in their UI to do custom features in campaigns and canvases. This helps when you have a large organization and local markets who have their own style, look, and feel.

Cons

The technical integration is hard if you have a complex ecosystem. A lot of open questions.

Pros

Incredible features like the canvas, real time segmentation, cross channel support, etc. The platform is very easy to understand and use. The tutorials are great way to learn.

Cons

A bit costly and high certification fees. There should be a free plan to know how it works for startups.

An auto-save feature would be really helpful because it would save our work in case something unexpected happens, like a browser issue. It could save us a lot of time if our work doesn't get lost.

We are using CRM to retain customers on our wireless service using email and SMS messaging. WE personalize communications based on profile attributes, lifecycle stage, and behaviors to maximize LTV. We're just getting started on the platform but it has just about all the important features I was expecting and then some.

Pros

Built in AB testing features; easy drag and drop template building with interchangeable content blocks; versatile segment builders; native integrations with data clouds; Journey builder does everything I need; reporting checks the box. Native SDK makes tracking user interactions across touch points (web, app) very easy to implement and maintain. Dynamic content syntax is quite intuitive and user-friendly for non-coders.

Cons

The cost is something we will need to keep an eye on; I can definitely see how tracking a lot of engagement events in a growing customer base is going to spike costs and possibly exceed our contract. Onboarding happens with a third party vendor, who is not as proactive, knowledgable or committed to our success as they could be. (Had a better experience with onboarding at Iterable both times.) This is Also, when we got started, the ability to clone templates and content blocks between projects was not available but they just launched that new feature. I also wish it was easier to preview the list of users in a segment - you have to download the list of people in the audience for a reliable preview, the preview tool that's built in doesn't always show everyone and sometimes it doesn't show anyone at all due to the way it seems to sample from the list.

Reason for choosing Braze

I've been a happy Iterable user for years now, but when I recently joined a new high-growth company, I evaluated them vs Braze and chose Braze mostly because I was curious about it, and because of the more robust out-of-the-box AB testing features and the template builder. It's just me running CRM so I needed the platform to do heavy lifting with drag and drop template design that looks first-class, easy data integration and without any analytics support. I was also curious about Braze and so far, it measures up to Iterable and does a few things better. Overall, I'd consider them comparable and Iterable might be a better choice for cost reasons for some organizations, if you plan to track boat loads of user interactions in app and on your web site to feed back to your CRM. In our case, the interactions we plan to track are pretty moderate so I felt safe taking the plunge, but we'll see how it pans out as the user base grows and tracking use cases grow with it. OVerall you won't go wrong with either one though, and even with native cloud data integrations, you'll still need support from Data Engineering either way.

Since using Braze, we've been able to automate our customer communications across a wide variety of previously unavailable channels. We were unable to provide our users with the kind of experience they deserve before introducing Braze's real-time data trigger and personalization of messaging.

Pros

When compared to similar products and businesses, Braze stands head and shoulders above the rest. Braze has a more robust collection of features and capabilities, and it is always being refined and updated. In addition to providing you with a powerful business tool, the organization provides you with a lot of information on how to utilize it effectively. We were able to get up to speed fast thanks to the assistance of their onboarding staff, and their customer service is excellent.

Cons

It would be great if you could create campaigns in a test environment and have them sent straight to production. Similarly, I'd prefer an option in which clicking "done" saved an email as a draft without requiring a second click thereafter. Since there is an extra step involved, our designers often fail to save their work.

It's easy to go around Braze because of its various features. It's rarely often that you'll need to switch tools, and when you do, it tends to decrease your productivity. Moreover, I enjoy labeling all the assets, since this improves the overall overview. This eliminates the need for file directories and the time spent looking for a certain file.

Pros

Campaign and template is the most important feature. It allow anyone with basic skill to create and maintain campaign. The data integration is another feature which allow seamless migration of data to Braze

Cons

The current email template management requires more improvement when it comes to switching between html and drag and drop mode. Since we work on this on a daily basis, this is the least like but at the same time most beneficial one as described previously.
