### "Crucial tool for our business"

Great. I did try to set up SV by myself and quickly leaned on their team for help and they did! Helped me get all my products entered, materials, prices and workflows. From there used the training videos and tools to train the team and we were running in a week or two. Since the start of using SV in 2015 we continue to enjoy of the evolving and adding of features in SV. Its like Christmas sometimes when we learn of new updates in our shop! We will email out to the team and let them know of something new.

Pros

We love the solutions and flow that ShopVox brings to our company. With many different departments (apparel, sign shop, print shop, web dept, and vehicle wraps) and different workflows SV keeps us all moving along with ease and eliminates dropped orders or confusion in our team. We know what is going on and can access the details, proofs, notes, file names all in one place. Before ShopVox we used paper orders...NEVER again! If there was a change on the job or an update request we would have to waste time tracking down that piece or paper. If it got lost...forget about it! We would be in trouble. Now with SV its all in the system and can be accessed with ease by anyone on the team. I do not see how our company could have continued to grown 30% each year by not moving to SV.

Cons

I wish there was a more convienent collaboration/ messaging tool in app. We still use the notes and the email notifications are good. But one day I would like to see an option to reply to a message from my email and it go right back in app to the job. SMALL request I am watching for to be added on day. Nothing in comparison of all that SV does do! We can tag other users for special notes, assign task and get notifications as needed.

From purchase to quick online support and onboarding help to PRO version has been great. I have not had any bad experiences with them.

Pros

As a wholesale print shop I needed a software that could handle all of our projects. I tried multiple different programs and nothing really fit the wide format printing we do. With SV the look and feel of the software was a good start. Once we got into it we realized very quickly that it’s more than just a pretty looking piece of software, it’s a beast. The ease of use for my salesman and production team to collaborate is great. The quick conversion from a quote to sales order and invoicing if flawless. The connection between SV and QBO was seamless. Also like how they do not lock you into a contract like some of the others did. I am guessing it is because they know they had done it right.

Cons

I didn’t find it sooner. I wish I could go back in time and would have found SV. I feel like I wasted a ton of time messing around with other options that just didn’t fit our needs.

They did not fit our needs very well. They were setup more for screen printing or offset and we do wide format like wraps banners and decals. Also nothing at all for flatbed work and that is 50% or more of our business.

Overall, my experience has been very positive. I’ve been in the sign business for over 40 years, and this is the best software I’ve used for managing day-to-day operations. It has helped bring structure and organization to the shop, especially with tracking jobs and keeping everything moving through production. I would definitely recommend it to other sign shop owners.

Pros

ShopVox does a great job of bringing quoting, job tracking, and invoicing into one system. In a custom sign shop where every job is different, having everything organized in one place helps keep work moving and reduces confusion. It has been a big improvement over anything I’ve used in the past.

Cons

Like any system, it takes time to fully set up and learn. As I continue using it, I’m still working on refining workflows and using more of its features to improve communication and delegation within the shop.

### "There are way better options"

When we started using Shopvox, it was about a hundred a month. By the time we left a few years later it was a multiple of that. It's nothing special, people generally gravitate towards it because it seems cheap, but when you compare it apples to apples with it's competitors it's probably just as expensive. Some people like it because it gives suggested pricing, but AI can do that better and customize it to your market. The biggest issue is shopvox WILL roll out new versions and features that don't work and haven't been adequately tested. Recently they rolled out 2-factor authentication for example, and it didn't work. People were receiving a code via text message after it had already expired - thus locking people out and shutting them down. Sales tax, "golden products", 2 factor - all saw terrible and bug filled launches that cost customers time and money. Go join the facebook group before you buy and read about the 2-factor complaints alone. The \[sensitive content hidden\], is one of the rudest people I've worked with in IT, and that's saying something. I needed PDF files of a lot of our items like tickets and POs - there's certainly a use case for having backups and access to them outside of Quickbooks or Shopvox. Because Shopvox is (I believe intentionally as part of their business model) very limited in which of YOUR data can be exported, I created an autocomplete feature to go in and click the download button for me. Not an injected script, nothing on their server, literally just some code that clicked download on the screen so I didn't have to. I shared the code in a forum because it certainly filled a felt need. \[sensitive content hidden\] lost. his. mind. Without talking to us, he suspended our account and made us remove the code, all while sending emails in all caps claiming we'd "hacked" his servers. As this was all locally run and essentially identically to a human clicking, this was a hyperbolic lie. He also said he'd monitor our IP to ensure we "never tried anything like that again", another lie. I was very polite despite him being deranged, and asked him what TOS I violated (he never answered because he couldn't). I calmly suggested it was clearly a felt need given the response in the forum, and he said telling him how to run his company was "unprofessional" and that if I wanted to go through the \*thousands of unread suggestions\* I was welcome to. At the end of the day, we switched to a competitor that was half the cost and extensible with AI. Now we have features we'd never dreamed of when he had shopvox, and this is the way forward. I know SV seems like it's a great fit for a lot of people, BUT why would you want to lock yourself and your company into an expensive one-size-doesn't-really-fit all MIS that is difficult to leave? TLDR: It's buggy It's expensive You won't be treated well It's not customizable Your data will be held hostage You don't need their pricing

Pros

It was cheap when we started using it. Beyond that it's difficult to think of a positive. When you boil it down it's basically quickbooks with a square foot calculator.

Cons

Hidden costs Overpriced Unskilled support Steep price increases Poor documentation Frequent launch of untested and broken features Not customizable API, Ecommerce, Users not included and not fairly priced Rude Staff Your data will be held hostage 2-Factor authentication is a nightmare

In general, I enjoy the platform, and I like how quickly I can receive help through the live chat support and help documents. It is a great management system for print companies.

Pros

I really like the eCommerce features and proofing system. I also like how you can track workflows between departments. It is very convenient how eCommerce orders can be converted into sales orders.

Cons

While I like the eCommerce features, there are some limitations. I wish web stores could allow for orders to be placed without payment, as we typically charge additional art, shipping, and installation fees. It would also be nice for customers to be able to choose quantities for shipping to multiple locations. Currently, I have to set a custom field with all locations, and have the customer specify in the additional notes the quantity per store. Some sort of grid might be a better option? There are some other issues I have experienced, but I can't think of them at the moment. We also use the platform OrderMyGear for web stores, and it would be nice to have these systems talk, but it requires writing an API currently.

Their on boarding and Live Chat support are great. I am 100% satisfied with using ShopVox. To this point it has done everything we needed it to do.

Pros

Easy quote creation, getting information to customers and back from them as well, sending proof to customers.

Cons

Job tracking across multiple days in a calendar view. They just released a new one so this may be just what we need. We have not had time to look into it and test.

Pros

It matches our needs for pricing things in multiple locations. The software is very flexible in how you can configure it. It has many useful built-in features that are very helpful in our businesses.

Cons

Sometimes, new features are added without letting you know in advance. Generally, the new features are an improvement, but it would be helpful to be prepared by knowing before they are released.

### "Couldn't do what we do without it."

We signed up for SV in 2016 when we had 5 staff and were doing roughly 500k per year in business. We've now grown all the way up to 23 staff and back down to 15 doing close to 3M in annual revenue. We would not have been able to scale to this size without SV. We continue to find new useful nooks and crannies of the software that we have grown into over time. Small shops can use what's only useful and relevant to them at the time and then start using additional features as they become more beneficial for them.

Pros

I've looked at almost every sign industry specific software available. All of them have great features but SV has the best all around package. Other softwares all have at least one or more SV features that we couldn't live without. The ability to combine jobs in a flexible way, having online proofs and quote approvals as well as the ability to do complex pricing on the fly using customized formulas is super helpful.

Cons

Some aspects of of the program are clunky for rescheduling individual steps because all the dates of a job are so intertwined but there are workarounds for them. Initial setup for PRO version is time consuming and complex but well worth the time savings on the back end once you have all your pricing formulas all set up. New feature implementation was lacking while they were working on the new UI but now that that is complete and launched we have seen lots of functional updates that continue to improve the quality of life use for the user.

Best overall package of features. Many of the other softwares had one or more critical features missing. Combined jobs is a big one but online payments, quickbook synching, automated workflow steps and online proofing are all big ones as well. Also looked at squarecoil and Sign Tracker in addition to other softwares selected from the list

4.5/5, highly recommend. The software can be a little difficult for certain staff members over the age of 50 to understand, but any computer literate employee should be able to get the general idea of how to run it within a couple weeks.

Pros

Streamlined and Organized our business immensely. We were a paper order to quickbooks shop before this and would spend hours a day just locating orders, transferring data to quickbooks, pricing jobs, etc. Shopvox has essentially cut our work load in almost half. We chose shopvox over other platforms, like Inksoft and Deconetwork because we found that shopvox let us quickly create custom products and build customer accounts on the fly, while the prior two were more webstore only based. Shopvox also offers free meetings and has on demand customer support to help whenever you need it, all the other software we have tried wants you to pay for setting up your account, or for any other questions you may have, which i find ridiculous. The software engineers are also very helpful, and are super willing to work with you to accomodate new feature requests you have that benefit your business. Most of the time I reach out in hopes of adding something that will help our company they pull through.

Cons

90% of shopvox is great, there is the occasional bug, but that usually gets fixed very quick, one small problem we have kind of ran into is sometimes the shopvox support can have a little trouble understanding what you're trying to convey, I have found that sending screen recordings and screenshots works far better, and that most other alternative software, like Deconetwork and such, charge you per hour for meetings or help. Shopvox does it all free so you can't really complain too much

ShopVox has cut down our time on quoting jobs, locating customer invoices and doing repeat jobs. We have gotten more effective at handling our orders and no one gets "missed" anymore.

Pros

I wanted software that was user friendly so that my staff would not feel intimidated during training and making the change over to a new system. This software was the most user-friendly I found and we had a ton of support when setting up by way of phone calls and emails to make sure we were navigating through effortlessly. The customer service, technical support, and just general attitude of all of the employees at ShopVox makes having their software a very pleasant experience.

Cons

The most challenging thing for our shop was entering our specific products and figuring out the pricing calculators.

Overall my experience has been good. I've been using shopvox (and their earlier version) since 2012. It's great that we can pull up all details about any job since then almost instantly.

Pros

The ability to manage everything about our custom production in one place. From quoting/pricing and invoicg to production managment, it's all tied together.

Cons

It would be great if they could expand on their api so we can try to automate more of of the integration with our production systems.

It can be a very difficult piece of software to navigate and the UI could do with some streamlining. Some things are very difficult to locate. However, for most things it works for us...which is why the quoting system (a huge part of why we use it) is so frustrating.

Pros

The ability to manage almost all aspects of our works from sales leads, quoting (sort of) proofing, production, work orders etc.

Cons

I am so frustrated with the assistance received from Shop Vox in regards to quotes not getting to customers - they are not even in SPAM. Both my husband and I have contacted them on several occasions due to quotes not being received by customers. We have done all of the things they instructed us to do, even engaging an IT professional to assist, yet we still have probably 6 - 7 customers a week not receiving their quotes. Shop Vox tend to absolve all responsibility of this, telling us to speak with domain and service provider all of which we have done. We use other software for other parts of our business all of which are always received by our customers. I think this is something Shop Vox needs to explore, especially since this is a major part of our business.We need some solid guidance/fixes for this.

I can't think of much. Truly, nothing good about it at all for our business. Perhaps this would work well for a small business with only a handful of products.

Cons

We've been using ShopVox for over 2 years now so we have a lot of (terrible) experience with this product. We have had nothing but trouble since using this program. It is not easy, it doesn't flow well, it doesn't make sense. They create problems and then make the fix a paid "feature." For example suddenly everything runs together even when you type it out in nice paragraphs. In order to not have this happen they say you must pay for this "feature." Unbelievable. The communication is horrible, not only language but just general understanding. They blame things constantly on a local server then will report an outage weeks later. It takes them months to fix seemingly simple things. When features they have don't work, they just say not to use it. Worst service I've ever had with any type of software. They corner you into using it since all your data is now in their "cloud" and who wants to start over with another software program yet again. We can't even build pricing, it simply doesn't work. It doesn't connect well with quickbooks, I can go on and on, it causes us more work than if we were to write this out by hand. WE have to manually price out everything because we're unable to successfully build pricing forms.

### "ShopVOX Review"

The initial setup was a lot. But our business has a lot of moving parts/products. We have about 23 employees. In house we do screen printing, embroidery, awards, and signage. We also do promotional products(out of house). Our Coach was SUPER helpful with the initial setup though. The 24/7 Chat support has been great as well. Took everyone a month or 2 to get the hang of it and we are constantly trying to tweak and improve but I'd recommend it to any shop that does screenprinting, embroidery, awards, or signs.

Pros

The amount of features and being able to have everyone on the same page at all times is priceless. From syncing with quickbooks to writing orders to overseeing production... and all in one cloud based system. They have apparel catalogs already integrated and they get updated automatically from Sanmar, S&S etc... so no need to adjust pricing anywhere unless it has to do with your labor. The job board and being able to filter it as needed for each department is great. Proofing system and e-mail templates are great. Being able to write a quote/sales order/invoice and email it over with a payment link is great.

Cons

As with any software it will never be perfect. But SV has been good to work with us on getting features/bugs implemented and fixed. They have not been able to accommodate everything but they are usually pretty good about at least letting us know if its possible or not. There are still bugs/features we're waiting on but not hills to die on. We had to pay a developer separately to integrate the API with our website and UPS worldship. That ran us close to 5K so that was a bummer.

Reason for choosing shopVOX

ShopVOX is cloud based and is a lot beefier when it comes to the features. We loved the way Printavo looked, but for what we needed it just wasn't enough. The amount of customization ShopVOX offers was a big seller.

### "The RIGHT Solution"

An all-in-one software for managing all aspects of our business that's easy to use for all levels of staff.

Pros

Prior to finding ShopVOX, we were spread across two different platforms for our sales and shop operations. ShopVOX has enabled us to eliminate both and now we can use one software to manage our workflow, track the sales activities that lead to new jobs, and also use solid costing on our quotes to ensure that we're making money with these sales. Best features: Multiple views and options for scheduling jobs. Pricing templates can handle all aspects of simple to complex jobs, even for a CUSTOM sign shop. Syncs to QuickBooks for accounting. This is an emerging product with a great development team. If a feature you've though of isn't there, wait a few weeks! This isn't SAP or ORACLE you're dealing with here. They're nimble and responsive to client requests and needs. Cloud based and mobile device friendly. The PRICE! For the money, you won't find better value.

Cons

As I mentioned in the "Pros" above, this is an emerging product. This leads to my only real "Cons". From time to time, as new features are rolled out, there may be mis-steps. If you are not OK with change, you may want to wait a bit before signing on. New features and modifications to old features are rolled out VERY regularly. As they say though, "you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette".

Our overall experience has been positive. We can do all of our quoting, invoicing, tract our material usage and make sure our time is accounted for. We print our monthly reports from it in order to file sales tax, and we are very happy. We use it everyday and plan on using everyday in the future.

The ease of use. Being able to build accurate products and make sure we are getting paid the correct amount for our output. The fact that we can calculate our time and not have to guess on pricing, gives our costumers the confidence that when they come to us time and time again they know they are being treated right.

Cons

There are many features we need to implement more. As a newer business we haven't been able to carve out the time. But as we are using it now, I can't really give any cons. It has served us well.

Reason for choosing shopVOX

I had used Signvox in the past and when it switched over to Shopvox it was an easy transition.

Overall very good experience and has without doubt improved our overall efficiency, productivity and speed in so many areas.

Pros

Has all of the features that we had on our wish list plus a few more. Pricing module well thought out and flexible Very easy and quick to create complex quotes as well as keeping track of quotes for follow ups. Keeps a good historical and detailed record including artwork proofs which makes running repeat jobs easy or when re-quoting. The jobs board is a valuable planning tool to keep track of jobs in progress & deadlines therefore makes production planning easier. Responsive support team.

Cons

Initial setting up is complex without someone locally who could understand our requirements and scope out the best way to set up the various modules. Lack of ability to alter pdf output ourselves e.g. customising design, layout & elements required or not required in quotes, sales orders, job sheets. Integration with Xero is ok but not perfect. Reporting tools could be more flexible so that we can pull out relevant information.

Improved workflow and throughput, reducing delays and delivery times, helping staff to plan their work, getting a more professional attitude towards the business, better customer service

Pros

Controls the process from quoting to invoicing. After setup for example the quoting process is very easy but also very powerful. We have improved throughput in our sign shop and reduced delays, thus improving customer service by a lot. Customer service is excellent, quick and friendly response time for any question at any time. Great tutorials, instructions etc. Easy overview of daily work tasks, no more thinking of what to do next. The staff appreciates the more organized way of doing daily business and if a person is off you can easily take up the work they have going. Would recommend this software for any sign shop that has 2 or more employees.

Cons

Setup demands time and effort to work efficiently but that's the case with all systems. Does not work well in Microsoft Edge but other browsers seem fine. Would like the possibility to search by name or text in the app instead of only sales order/invoice number.

Excellent administration tool for the sign shop.

Pros

Unlimited opportunities for growth. The best feature is keeps track of every step of the process for making the sign. As the sign industry is so diversified with so many types of signs, ShopVox has the ability to perform. It does it well. No interruptions. When need support, ShopVox is excellent to work with. Their Chat group is available anytime. It provides all our needs with Quoting, Designing, Manufacturing, Servicing, and Customer service.

Cons

With any new software, setting it up is a challenge. This is like setting up a database management program. It's a different thought process when we setup our products and services.

### "Takes your business to the next level"

I don't know how I could run this business without shopVox or something like it. Going from hand written work orders to this was a tremendous leap forward. Everyone at shopVOX will do what every it takes to get you started. And support is always fast and very knowledgeable.

Pros

It allows me to track every aspect of the business. It is so easy to look up anything on existing customers. Invoices, orders, status etc. Having everyone here on the same system makes it effortless to be in tune with what is going on.

Cons

The only problem I have with the software is I don't use it to it's fullest capabilities. Not being a real computer genius and not having the right person on staff to do it for me, everything is not set up to take advantage of the system. Like any software platform the information coming out is only as good as what you put into it. I have not be able to do put everything in to make this even better. One day I hope to change that.

Improved our customer and product data management , product tracking and management overview processes 100%. Without ShopVox, our future growth would be limited. We have over 140 orders (projects) underway at one time, and manual tracking was becoming impossible. ShopVox will allow us to double out size to $4M in sales in 3 or 4 years.

Pros

Provides end-to-end management from initial inquiries (sales leads) through product shipping, including quotes, sales orders, invoices, pricing, design, production,and shipping. Good analysis and dashboards for overview, also details on customers, design, and production processes. I have 6 of our managers (sales, design, production, finance) making inputs to ShopVox, no more sticky notes, Excel spreadsheets, etc. Integrates data bases and all processes. Very good training and implementation/configuration support, including 24 hour chat box.

Cons

Pricing models, while very comprehensive (we have very over 20 complex products each with up to 40 features that have to be priced) could be more flexible. Configuring ShopVox for our rather complex dimensional and carved sign & plaque manufacturing business is time-consuming; we opted for the one-week support option, and it was well worthwhile, within 2 weeks we were using ShopVox at nearly full capability.

Previously we had no idea what we were doing and had no way to manage our processes, deadlines and billing. Goods were delivered without invoices, jobs was left behind due to volume and processes were missed - processes like quality control and final testing. This mainly was mainly because we had no idea what was done when and what the job queue looked like. ShopVOX's job board is a very important part of our management tools.

Pros

Simplified workflow control. The fact that all the process are intergraded gives me complete control to manage deadlines and possible bottlenecks in the manufacturing stages. I am able to manage my customer's expectations on the rush jobs and expedited work.

Cons

I'm not to be able to change the currency symbol due to international operations. This is a constant challenge. Some development in smaller areas is needed.

Reason for choosing shopVOX

ShopVOX gave me exactly what I needed - no need to look for more options.
