Getting through to actually speak with a human being is often difficult. No problems can be dealt with in the moment. You have to schedule a meeting time sometimes a week after your initial issue. People love supporting the church, but the ways to collect that support need to evolve with the times. Tithe.ly has done that for us. Pros Tithe.ly provided us with a solution for online giving that passed muster for the bankers in our congregation, which had been a stumbling block for other companies. The security provided, and the options for fund designation make it a fantastic product. Cons Occasionally, our members have had issues finding our institution on Tithe.ly's list. When this happens, we usually direct them to our web page, where we have our direct link. Lots of other much needed resources Cons very time consuming to learn and few video tutorials to choose from. Thankful CS is very easy to contact but hate that I’m dependent upon their availability to learn whatever it is I have to tackle in the moment. Then wait for an email. Also very easy to integrate into a website for online access. Cons Generating a report is pretty easy but there's not a lot of customization in the reports. It would be nice to have more options for fine-tuning what information will be on a given report and saving your preferences. Elvanto is much more freature rich. Pros Honestly, Elvanto is really good at most things. Cons Even though Elvanto is good at most things, it's not really great at anything. Overall, our congregation has been satisfied with the ease of use and the ability to make recurring donations. We do not plan on switching to any other competitors due to the low fees and the user friendly format. Pros Tithe.ly gives you the ability to receive donations in an easy-to-use format and to show all of the incoming donation amounts in an organized manner. We are able to provide the congregation the opportunity to cover the processing fee as well. Many of our church goers use the recurring giving option which makes the process even easier for the user. Reasonable fees compared to competitors. Cons We have not ran into any major issues that call for concern. We have had minor bugs occur, but refreshing would normally solve the issue. Their fees are comparable to most other similar companies and they don’t have an additional monthly cost that many other similar companies have. Cons There is some integration issues with the Church management software with the rest of their programs. But it is not hard to find a work around. " September 13, 2016 5.0 Everything from the get go of introducing Tithe.ly to our church has been a great experience. The service is amazing staff are great at getting back to us should we have any questions. Our members find the app easy to use and would rather use this method than cash, check or paypal. It has increased our giving over 50% since introducing it, I believe mainly because people do not carry cash and checks are becoming obsolete. We have found that our members that travel for work or are on vacation are now using the app while away rather than not giving at all. The video's were very useful in introducing the new options of giving and we found that most people switched over from other options to Tithe.ly. Pros The back end of the book keeping side is also very easy, at any time we can review giving statements. We are able to have a monthly statement very early in the month which again makes book keeping easier and quicker for reports to the board etc. Whereas Paypal does not have a monthly statement ready until the 10th of the month. Cons We don't have any con's I'm sure there is more that we could be using withing the software and don't only due to our people not doing so. I think the customer support option/access should be more readily visible to users. The Bot is okay, but does not address some of the key issues I see, such as when a user receives an error message when attempting to process a donation. Pros Online giving and mobile app feature. This is mainly what we use. I would like to use the donation processing feature, but not "sold" on it just yet. Cons CHMs and website set up was difficult, and I don't feel that we have full use of the website program. I appreciate that their programs are user-friendly and easy to figure out and if you don't know how to use it there is typically a help link to get you there. Their programs have allowed me to develop an app and website for my church that is user-friendly. Cons I enjoy where their programs are but would look to see more advanced features in both the app and website. You are a bit limited to what layouts and programs they already have which can be difficult if you have a vision for something else.
