Church Finance Religious Institutions Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Tithe.LY for our Church has been a useful and effective tool" January 24, 2023 4.0 We want to use the tool to increase regular giving which it has helped. We are happy with the church management to and want to continue to use it more effectively with more training. Pros Using Tithe.LY for online giving has been very effective in increased giving and reaching people outside our church who wan to support some of our programs like our Food Panty. It is automated and works great to get us the funds. The church management system has helped us safely store all our member information. We haven't fully used all the program can do for us yet. Cons The reports are customizable but not always easy to get it to come out how you would like it. Also the training needs some improvement. Reason for choosing Tithe.ly The cost was reasonable, we had recommendations from other users and it seemed to offer great ongoing development and improvement plans. Customer support is great and they walk you through the setup process. It is pretty fool-proof. The giving feature tracks online giving and reports all deposits in a timely manner and alerts you if there is an issue with a deposit. Website is easy to use also. Many layouts help in design and uploading materials and sermons is a breeze. Messaging feature makes send text to members a breeze. They have many options at competitive pricing. I can't think of a more cost friendly product Cons They need to integrate their systems better. They have 2.5 ChMS that don't talk to each other fully. It's a bit of a headache to deal with the switching of 1.0 to 2.0 as it should have been a full 2.0 rollout. Cons They are constantly improving the integration between the mobile app and the desktop versions but this has not always been a smooth transtion. I would heartily recommend this product to a church that is seeking better means of keeping records / communicating with their church. Pros The "one-stop shop" aspect of Breeze has been incredibly helpful. We're a small/midsized church with a smaller staff. Being able to keep up with our membership records and communicate clearly to our congregation has been made easy with Breeze. Cons One of the reasons we selected Breeze was the cost for established pricing for the software, so that no matter how large we grow, we can expect to pay the same price. Recently, the cost went up (as did pretty much single good sold in the US, so that's understandable). We've also found ourselves paying quite a bit each month in texting fees. There are so many features that it can be overwhelming to understand them all. Pros Although we don't use them all, we use many of the features. The ones we use the most are People, Calendar, Events, Financial and more. The app has been easy to update and we are going to launch a new website in the next few weeks. The support team is great! Cons The features don't seem to talk to one another. Events have to be entered in several places to show up on the app, website, calendar, especially if you add a registration link. There are some cross platform features that are missing. For example, I enter our weekly offering into Elvanto but it doesn't register in Tithe.ly. Fortunately, it does go the other way. They provide great training webinars to service the church with timely needs. Pros We love the features that are interchangeable for our website, the ease of online giving and finding the information about those who have given money. The app is fantastic. I love that when we put in the events on the website it automatically transfers over to the app. Customer service is awesome! They walked us through putting our in the App store for Apple devices and it was very complicated but they were patient in working with us. Thanks to the team at Tithe.ly. We set up a 2nd text to give number for another division with ease. Set up is easy, support is great and overall Tithely has been an asset to our non-profit. Pros Text to give was vital to the increase in giving. We have about 30-40% of our donations come through Tithely (either the app or text to give). Cons Reports for the finance department. Very easy to switch over, great customer service, great price! It's a fraction of the price I was paying before and does WAY more. Pros Quick customer service! Gives the option for users to cover the fees incurred of their giving. Even though not every one opts in to this, it still is a major offset from those who do! I also like that Tithe.ly breaks down what fees are associated to what giving. Cons I would prefer bulk payments to be processed after each service (twice a week). I only see the option of once a week. This is just a personal preference since I run the books twice a week. There are constant upgrades happening which only improve the ease of use of this software. Pros Elvanto is so easy to use and fully customisable, so we can develop it to suit our Church. However it is good value for money software which is affordable for even small churches. Pros Tithe.ly online payment software is is easy to use and integrate into websites and online platforms. We also use Elvanto as a our CHMS. This product is good and generally user friendly. It is also good value for money compared to other CHMS software on the market. Cons A main feature lacking in Elvanto is a user friendly Check In System. This is something that has been problematic for our church mostly when checking in children for kids ministry. It was the main reason we went with Tithely. ChMS, Website, App, Messaging, Events, Media all in one place is a great option at a great price. Cons Some of the integration is lacking in capability. I would love to see more ease of use between all the different systems. The website is not as customizable as I would like, lacking some features that are standard on most other builders. When building a website, it can also be difficult to find where you want to be and how to create menus vs pages etc. Customer service has been the part i have been most disappointed with. We paid for the onboarding and yet now have heard nothing in a while and even when we reach out are left wanting more. It is an affordable and easy way for us to accept bank and debit card payments. Pros I love that we can set up multiple types of funds - pledges, mission, unpledged giving, memorial fund, so that people can share how they want their gift applied to our budget. Cons It would be nice if there was a very easy way to set up a link directing people to give to a specific fund type. I think there is a way to do it, but setting this up is not obvious. Pros There is a tremendous ease in donating through Tithe.ly. It gives the admin the ability to customize the options for giving, which in turn helps the donors realize the financial opportunities of giving. The processing fees are worth the price. Cons The fees are not fun, but they are understandable for the use of the software. Definitely not as high as some companies. Not everyone carries cash or a checkbook nowadays, so a digital option gives our church the ability to give even if they cannot give via traditional avenues. We also appreciate that Tithe.ly provides the option to cover the fee for each online gift. The vast majority of our digital givers giving through Tithe.ly opt to cover the donation fee, and that helps our church a lot. Cons Currently, the internal website's donation reports generate general things like the giver's name, quantity of gift, etc. But if you want to quickly see if the gift went to your church's general fund or if the gift was marked as a designated gift for a designated fund or special project, you have to download, save, and open the Excel spreadsheet file to find out. It would be nice if you could see that listed on the bank deposits page or the individual gift details page. Or, what would actually be best is if you could customize your bank deposits page to see the information you really wanted to see quickly (At a glance) prior to downloading the full reports. But honestly, this is just getting picky, because Tithe.ly as a tool has been very easy to use and has been great for our church. Review Source MH Misti H.
