February 13, 2025 5.0 We have used Paypal and quit using it shortly after we started using Tithe.ly. For us Paypal was not user friendly and hard to contact people to help with problems. That is not a problem with Tithe.ly. The system is simple to use, and we've been able to get help easily in the infrequent times that we need it. Pros The overall ease to use. The time it saves me when Tithe.ly sends out the tax donation statements. Cons I have not found anything that I don't like about Tithe.ly. Tithe.ly provided wonderful materials to help me convince my governing board that we needed online giving, and that Tithe.ly could provide that solution in a secure and cost-effective way. Pros I liked that Tithe.ly had reasonable fees, a clean interface, and ways to give on desktop, mobile, and via text. The option for people to use a bank account was also very important for my demographic. Cons Some of the options to customize the look and feel of the software are lacking (e.g. logos don't always render correctly against a white background). Some of the back-end features (like logging multiple gifts) were not intuitive at first, but got easer with practice. The website is easy to navigate and provides all the information I need. It's easy to switch between monthly and weekly deposits depending on the time of the year. The few times I have had issues, the staff is very responsive and gets back to me within hours. Their answers are always concise and thoughtful Cons I wish I could specify the format of the CSV downloaded file associated with deposits. There's too much data that I don't need. Cons It would be nice to have a view-only option that shows amounts given but not by whom. When I had concerns or difficulty the Tithe.ly crew does respond and the ability to have the transactions handled for our ministry, in a secure manner, has been incredible. Pros A reliable and efficient way to allow online transactions for my church and ministry. The way it opens up opportunities for giving to be utilized anywhere, is Wonderful! It really has increased our giving tremendously. Pros User-friendly and the ability to list the types of funds we can designate. Fees are resonable. The reporting part is something I have to learn more about but there are tutorials I can use that are supplied for that plus they have support I can get in touch with. Pros I like that when we needed to change when deposits were made to our bank account Tithe.ly was able to make that happen. Cons I have trouble running reports or getting the information I need to see amounts given to specific things our church supports. Pros I love that tithe.ly has made it easy for so many of our members to give more consistently. Cons We had a few of our folks have small issues with being able to login but its only been 1 or 2 times. Not to bad. Non computer savvy people can pay to it, setup auto payments, and admin can access it easily. Pros It easy to use. I recommend Tith.ly to many churches getting started. Many church programs are cumbersome, this one gets it right. It's user friendly, and requires minimal time. Cons It could be more attractive. Really don't have many problems with it.
