### "Great service - worth your time!"

April 3, 2026

5.0

One of the biggest advantages for us has been cost. Compared to other platforms we looked at, Play is very affordable without feeling limited or “stripped down.” It’s a strong value for what you get. It’s also been very reliable and flexible. Whether we’re pushing announcements, event info, or custom content, everything runs smoothly and updates quickly. Overall, it’s been a dependable, user-friendly solution that just works.

Pros

We’ve had a great experience with Play Digital Signage. It strikes a really nice balance between simplicity and capability — it’s incredibly easy to set up and manage, even for a small team, but still offers the features we need to run dynamic, engaging displays.

Cons

I wish there were more plugins and support for additional data sources or data pulls from external databases.

### "Simple to Use, but Some Limitations on the Free Plan"

May 2, 2026

5.0

Overall Experience: My overall experience with Play Digital Signage has been positive. It’s a very easy platform to get up and running quickly, and it does exactly what you need for displaying content on screens without any complicated setup. The interface is clean, and being able to control everything remotely is a big advantage. However, the limitations on the free plan can be a bit frustrating, especially when certain restrictions only become noticeable after you start using it more. Despite that, it’s still a solid option for small businesses looking for a simple and reliable digital signage solution.

Pros

What I liked most about Play Digital Signage is how simple and user-friendly it is to get started. The setup process is quick, and you can have content displaying on your screen within minutes without needing technical knowledge. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, making it straightforward to upload images, videos, and create playlists. I also liked the cloud-based system, which allows you to update your screens remotely at any time. Overall, it’s a reliable and efficient solution for digital displays, especially for small businesses looking for something easy to manage.

Cons

One downside of Play Digital Signage is that some of the limitations around the free plan are not very clear at first, which can be a bit frustrating when you start using it. For example, features like playlist duration restrictions and trial messaging appearing on screens can make it feel less professional unless you upgrade. There’s also a bit of a learning curve when trying to fine-tune layouts or manage multiple pieces of content. Additionally, certain customisation options are quite limited unless you move to a paid plan, which may not suit everyone depending on budget.

### "Hospital billboards"

August 1, 2025

3.0

Initial set up has been more difficult than expected due to variable technology, but the ease of getting someone to help support has been good.

Pros

I like that you can update content easily. Like the quick response with a live person via chat. The team has helped resolve issues.

Cons

Having issues with connectivity, when updated on app changes are not always made. There is not a lot of creative content. First must create in another program and then upload slides.

### "Intuitive, highly customizable, and unbeatable value for money!"

March 18, 2026

5.0

After testing several mainstream digital signage platforms that turned out to be clunky and overpriced, discovering PlaySignage was a breath of fresh air. It perfectly fits my exact needs for screen management. It’s powerful, easy to navigate, and offers incredibly rich features without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

Pros

The setup is incredibly straightforward, and the design interface is highly intuitive. Unlike many mainstream options that feel outdated and complicated, PlaySignage handles non-standard aspect ratios effortlessly, which is perfect for my large custom displays. My absolute favorite feature is the HTML widget support—it opens up infinite possibilities. I can easily embed custom HTML news tickers, clocks, and data boards instead of being restricted to built-in templates. On top of that, the pricing is absolutely mind-blowing. The fact that you can get a screen for free is amazing, and their paid plans are surprisingly affordable. I am already planning to get licenses for a few more screens!

Cons

The only minor drawback I've encountered is with the HTML widget. Currently, it seems we cannot layer an HTML element over other elements on the page (likely due to performance considerations). It would be fantastic if they could unlock this layering capability in future updates, as it would make the design process even more flexible.

### "Play Digital for exterior LED displays"

March 25, 2026

5.0

Very good. I have around 29 existing customers whose software is being sunsetted by the display manufacturer. I am in the process of migrating them to Play Digital and it is going very well. The online chat has been quick to respond and has answered all of my questions.

Pros

Ease of installation of the software and the versatility of the programming of the display. Making a playlist is simple, and all of the available free images and videos make it look like a professional is creating the content.

Cons

The setup for exterior displays is not as intuitive as for TV screens. There are extra steps that were not obvious to me; however, the live chat was very helpful in getting through it.

### "well balanced service with good value for the money"

good value for the money, useful features including the support for on-screen keyboard which is essential for our use case (though there are bugs that need to be resolved), simple to learn/operate user interface, we are still in testing phase, but should the on-screen keyboard be resolved, we will deploy in large scale in whole company

Pros

simple user interface, features, pwa platform that runs on ubuntu-frame chromium snap (very low on resources), prompt support available with real persons not just generic AI

Cons

### "A++ signage software."

April 16, 2026

5.0

I have used other signage software and as of today this is by far the easiest and best I have used. They player setup on streaming device was so easy to setup.

Pros

The different players that are supported is one of the first things I look at and they support a lot. Very easy to set up hardware, upload files and set up playlists. App feature in playlist is a nice touch to add QR codes, photos, YouTube and more. l really like the standby (temporarily disabled screen).

Cons

I really wish they had an iOS and an Android application. Wish they had more templates to choose from.

### "Simple, reliable and easy to manage"

April 1, 2026

User friendly, easy to learn and quick to get started with. Even if you you're not a designer or technical.

Pros

Easy to use and configure, with a lot of features. Everything can be managed from a web dashboard and can update screens from everywhere.

Cons

It has basic design tool with limited advance customization and cost add up if you manage many displays. Other than that, still very powerful.

We were looking to engage our people in the work room & lounge area. PLAY accomplishes all our goals in a simple manner.

Pros

Easy to use, many options and the ability to constantly update our working group. An additional method to use for team building.

Cons

The ability to add sound could be an advantage, however we have not made use of this yet. A wider library of content would also be an advantage.

### "1st digital signage solution that works out of the box"

July 22, 2025

5.0

Very usability friendly and fun to use. With all the apps, integrations and also possibility to use Canva presentations, it's very suitable for small companies.

Pros

Very easy to install and the 1st screen is free, so you can test everything before buying a subscription. Many players available. And I can play Canva Animations!

Cons

When you start doing the setup, it's not really clear that not all the players are equally well suited when it comes to performance. So be careful and compare the different players before you buy the wrong one for your project.

### "1st Digital Signage attempt"

January 18, 2026

5.0

Very solid. Their marketing did not oversell the features and their novice level tutorials and explanations were spot on. I was set up quickly and with no pain. Getting a free screen is a huge plus as well.

Pros

Intuitive interface and quick setup - I was starting an evaluation of digital signage products for the dive shop I work at. I was looking for (hopefully) free and easy adminstration since I was setting it up for non-technical people. Play was the first Google hit on search and I didn't need to go any further. I had a screen linked and some trial slides set up in about 15 minutes. The playlist editor has a Powerpoint feel and should be easy for anyone who has created any kind of presentation before. Linking to screen and setting up a schedule was intuitive and help screens were helpful and to the point.

Cons

The playlist editor is a bit clunky, especially the text editor. I was trying to do mulitline lists in a single text box with different point sizes and formatting on each line and was unable. The solution was to create individual text boxes which works ok but makes editing content a bit more tedious. The auto-alignment and spacing feature worked super well though so everything is lined up nice.

### "Play save my life hahaha"

December 17, 2025

5.0

I'm being completely honest in my review; I have no complaints about Play. The experience is great, the settings are straightforward, and the playlists have plenty of customization options, something YoDeck doesn't offer. This caught my attention, and I'm even considering a plan for other screens in other businesses!

Pros

I really liked your functional player, because I came from another digital signage platform that started having problems with its player and the support couldn't solve my problem, in that case YoDeck, so I started the migration and found Play, a simple and straightforward interface, without much fuss, great features, and the way the media is allocated is great for me, I recommend it to everyone!!!

Cons

The player's Portuguese translation has some errors, but nothing that hinders functionality. For example, there's an option to "restart the player at a specific time." I thought it was just the player itself, but it ends up restarting the machine where the player is installed. And since I set it to restart at night, I had to keep logging into my Windows user account until I discovered that this option was causing the problem, haha.

### "Play digital signage in our laundromat"

February 2, 2026

5.0

Overall experience has been positive. The ability to change messaging any time I come up with a new idea is exactly what I was looking for.

Pros

I just started using Play Signage in my laundromat to help cross promote the various services we offer. Printed signs were costly and any change in messaging meant additional expenses. Play was easy to set up and navigate from uploading content to publishing the playlist. I have also been able to add local weather info next to my content, and displayed content can be changed at any time. Having the screens go dark while the store is closed removes the need for my staff to turn the tv on and off. The ability to add screens at a fixed price helps keep the initial costs low as we fine tune our messaging and add screens. Their customer service has been fantastic. Responses to questions via chat are almost always in real time.

Cons

So far we haven't encountered any bugs, and any issues we've experienced have been explained and answered.

### "Perfect Digital Signage solution for our Yoga Retreat"

August 18, 2025

4.0

We run Blessings, a yoga hostel & retreat center in Thailand, and Play Digital Signage has been a game-changer for us. It allows us to clearly display our daily yoga classes, meditation sessions, events and community activities across different screens in our spaces. Guests immediately connect with our schedule, and the ease of updating content saves our team valuable time. Security and stability have been excellent — no crashes or downtime so far when we upgraded to a more performant hardware. It feels like a very professional solution while still being user-friendly and affordable.

Pros

Very intuitive setup – we had our first display running within an hour. Smooth content scheduling, perfect for updating our yoga & retreat class schedules in real time. Reliable cloud-based management — we can update from anywhere. Strong customer support – helpful whenever we had questions! Live via chat

Cons

The interface has many features, which was a little overwhelming in the beginning (Screens, Playlists, Groups & Schedules) Would love more built-in templates (though customization works amazing)

### "My Opinion"

October 29, 2025

5.0

Overall, I’m very satisfied with Play Digital Signage. It’s stable, reliable, and covers all the main needs for professional digital displays. The system runs smoothly, and the customer support is responsive and helpful. It’s a great solution for both small and large installations.

Pros

I really appreciate how intuitive and user-friendly the platform is. It’s very simple to upload images, videos, and other media, organize them into playlists, and make quick updates remotely without any technical difficulties. The interface is clean and responsive, which makes managing multiple screens fast and efficient.

Cons

The only issue I’ve experienced is when setting up screens in vertical orientation. It’s not as straightforward as the horizontal mode and sometimes requires extra adjustments to make the content fit perfectly. It would be great if the platform offered more templates or automatic scaling for portrait screens.

### "Play Digital Signage - Recommended, It Just Works"

December 29, 2025

5.0

It just works. Fully featured, no credit card needed to setup and fully test the software. Supports many video players including Amazon Fire, Linux, and Windows. Highly recommended.

Pros

Very comprehensive and full featured product, and you can start out for free. Paid versions allow for management of multiple screens, but otherwise all the features are available. Supports a variety of video players, from inexpensive sticks to Windows PC. Easy to use and deploy.

Cons

I love that the first screen is free. You can fully test out the product without the need to enter a credit card and then the hassle of attempting to cancel before being billed. If you need to manage additional screens then that is a paid subscription, but the pricing is $8 screen and very reasonable.

### "Effortless Digital Signage That Elevates Our Brand Presence"

October 29, 2025

5.0

Overall, using Play Digital Signage has made a noticeable impact on our brand presentation within the building. Its ease of use allowed us to quickly set up and manage digital screens, which has elevated the look and feel of our signage and created a more polished, professional environment.

Pros

I really appreciate how user-friendly the system is, especially the ability to integrate YouTube videos directly onto the screen. We use it in the lobby of our automotive facility, and it’s been a great way to keep customers engaged while they wait, offering more dynamic and relevant content than traditional TV.

Cons

It would be great to have the option to link an entire YouTube playlist, allowing us to curate a series of videos rather than being limited to just one. This would give us more control over the content and enhance the viewing experience for our customers, especially since we create a lot of our own content.

4.0

Overall, my experience has been positive. The platform is stable and works well for managing content on our screens. It has saved us time compared to our previous signage solution. Support has been responsive and helpful whenever we needed assistance.

Pros

Very easy to set up and use. The drag-and-drop editor is intuitive, and the content scheduling is reliable.

Cons

### "Great App for Vision Board"

January 28, 2026

The onboarding experience was remarkably efficient and streamlined. The registration process and initial configuration were straightforward, enabling me to deploy our digital vision board successfully within 30 minutes. This ease of implementation has made for a highly positive first impression of the platform.

Pros

The display management interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making navigation straightforward for our team. The extensive customization capabilities have proven particularly valuable, allowing us to tailor the displays precisely to our organizational requirements and workflow preferences.

Cons

At this stage of implementation, I have not encountered any significant drawbacks. While the interface aesthetic initially appears somewhat minimalist, I believe this may be adjustable through settings I have yet to explore fully.
