The support is top notch too, but ultimately, we went with another provider. Pros The pricing for Groundplan is attractive. Ultimately, we went with another solution, but overall, I was impressed with the features of Groundplan. Cons I wasn't keen on the way that Groundplan managed drawings and different scales for the drawings. It also lacked a toolbox for standard, repeatable measurements. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to streamline their takeoffs and estimations Pros really appreciate how user-friendly the platform is. Many of the functions feel intuitive, and it’s clear that a lot of thoughtful development has gone into each feature, with close attention to feedback from trades and estimators. My experience so far has been entirely positive, and I’m looking forward to becoming proficient across all its applications Cons I don’t have any real criticisms of the program. The only thing that stands out is Count Assist occasionally struggling to identify the same symbol when it’s rotated or at a different angle. She explained them in a simple manor that just made total sense. I look forward to using and advancing through ground plan to make estimating as simple as possible. Pros I liked how it integrates with our job management system and how easy it was to use also in general. i also loved the curved tool or the 'q' click, click that was pretty awesome. Game changer for estimating sprinkler and fire protection work. I even use it for quoting service work and deficiencies where there are no drawings - it is better than any spreadsheet I have used for adding costs, mark-ups, labor, etc. Pros Makes estimating of any kind faster and reduces the chance of errors in calculations. Phenomenal live chat for support with anything. Cons I don't have anything. I only have a couple suggestions such as being able to save the overlay as a new plan after using the compare feature and perhaps showing totals from each stage and grand total when exporting (could be possible and I just haven't figured it out yet). For saving compared plans, a handy workaround for now is using a screenshot tool to capture an image. Just keep in mind that your screen resolution affects the image quality. Higher resolutions will give you a better result. That said, we can pass your suggestion to our dev team, and it’s something we can consider for future updates. Happy and freindly on the phone and the willingness to stay on the phone until your request task is completed. Cons The only thing I don't like and our company chooses not to use is the count assist feature, This is only because the PDF plans issued icoms are note all eactly the same. I feel i have picked up the program reasonably quickly but in time will be a lot more efficient. Pros The ease of marking up plans and calculating material quantities. The support has been next level. I have had several chats and training sessions with the girls. They have help with rapid response and you can actually talk to them. Without them it would have been difficult. They have also showed me where the advanced training videos are too. Cons Setting up the first project, but once it's done you can use it on other project's which is where the time is saved.
