It kept our calendars in sync and did the job. Gave landlords a view of their schedule and payments and kept them updated.

Avoid – Unfair Billing Practices and Poor Support I’ve been using Hostaway for a while, but my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. I contacted them back in April to reduce my listings from a large number down to just 5. Despite having clear written proof of this request, they failed to take action and continued charging me for the full number of listings for two additional months. Now, they’re telling me I need to pay June’s invoice (at the inflated rate) before they’ll reduce the listings—even though I made the change request months ago. To make matters worse, they’ve locked me out of my account, seemingly to force payment for services I never used. I’ve submitted a formal complaint, but at this point, I’ll be moving on to another platform. This kind of behavior—ignoring clear communications, continuing to charge unfairly, and restricting access—is completely unacceptable. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

The interface could use a little refreshing, it's clunky at times. But generally very comprehensive and impressive as an umbrella, all-inclusive service.

The customer service (\[sensitive content hidden\]) is the best! Always patient and educational. The issue I was having wasn't even a problem, it was a browser issue - nevertheless he was very patient in trouble shooting what I thought was a complete disaster. But he saved the day, like steering a ship out of a storm into a safe harbor. Making it all right again. Whew!

Cons

Though the customer service reps are excellent, it might be an idea to hire more - so that the wait times aren't as lengthy. Having said that, if you can invest the time, I've never had an issue that the reps couldn't handle. (Just need more of them!)

Pros

I love working with and their team. The simplicity of the platform, the value and the user interface made this my choice after reviewing several competitors. The integrations with other booking platforms makes this a "no brainer" for me. The absolute plus is being able to call their support line with a question. I always get a person who is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Any suggestions are taken and implemented. I just got off a call with \[sensitive content hidden\] who successfully walked me though about 5 different things on the site which will allow me to generate more income!

Cons

I really like everything about . We asked if there was a way to sort the properties by name, and BOOM, it was done. This is amazing

What I like most so far is that the product seems solid and easy to use. It looks like it will be a good fit for our needs. Hostaway saved me from a lot of stress!!! I highly recommend this company and I look forward to purchasing another short term rental. I am confident that Hostaway will help me every step of the way.

was my savior. I am new to the short term rental platforms and needed guidance. I started with another platform and it was a nightmare. I was beside myself and was not prepared for my new bookings. Hostaway set me up with several onboarding calls and made sure everything was ready to go from taxes and financials, to automated messages and more.

Love once you get used to the program. There is a lot of great features. The customer support is top notch.

Pros

customer service is the main reason I use this PMS software. Their customer service agents are all very knowledgable about the software, excellent communicators, and very professional.

Cons

Some integration issues still exist, but workarounds are typically provided. VRBO payment setup is not awesome and the House rules connectivity issue is an unfortunate issue to look into. International charges for subscriptions should also be communicated up front with customers.

Overall its a good platform however the integration move from just Air B&B to and the other platforms is not easy or quick. I can see that eventually its going to be fine but its taken me hours upon hours..and the person doing my onboarding was not easy to work with. For me.

1-If the agents are busy and you leave a call back number I have not gotten ever a call back. 2-the layout of the portal is difficult with letters so small...very primitive and not a great UI. 3-the booking machine UI is horrible.

It would be very helpful if features such as the host cancellation policy could be displayed directly on the home screen, so there is no need to open the reservation details to access that information. Additionally, the integration process with third-party OTAs was quite challenging. It would be greatly beneficial if the system could provide a clear, step-by-step guide to assist users through the integration process. A smart, on-screen guide—such as prompts indicating which buttons to click and where to enter specific codes, similar to a simulated walkthrough—would make the experience much more user-friendly. This would ultimately help users gain better access and increase their opportunities for securing more reservations.

There were several issues with owner reporting, and he was able to walk me through a solution and and explanation. I'm thankful for his problem-solving skill and the way he gave me words to help an owner understand her reporting.

Cons

I'm not sure why the formula needed edited in the first place. It seems that it should have been an update or in place already.

### "Terrible Hostaway Technical Support and Customer Service"

Used for about 6 months. It is way too expensive for what they provide. They boast about their customer service but I had my issues ignored for days on end. They would not return emails or phone calls. They don’t train their technical support well, none of them know what they are doing and constantly have to send issues up to a higher tech. Their salesmen went on and on about their awarding winning customer service, but once you are onboarded, you get barely any support. They ended up costing us hundreds of dollars through lost reservations and they couldn’t have cared less.

Pros

Their concept is good, but the lack of good technical support really hinders them. Their onboarding process was nice, being able to move easily upload Airbnb listings to VRBO and other sites.

Cons

Terrible customer service, horrible tech support with techs that are improperly trained and don’t know what they are doing, wildly expensive. Their app and website go down in the middle of the day for up to an hour, usually once a month. They will straight up ignore you and your issue if they can’t figure it out.

Pros

Quick resolution of issue and took the time to walk me through the steps to make the changes I needed to make.

Cons

It seems that recently there is a fairly long wait time to get someone on the phone who can help. But that has been the only issue, and I multi-task as much as possible during that time,

Pros

What I like most about is how organized and efficient the platform is for managing multiple short-term rentals. It simplifies every part of the process — from messaging and reservations to pricing and automation. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive throughout the setup process.

Pros

’s biggest strength is how well its features integrate into a single, easy-to-use platform. The automated messaging, calendar syncing, and channel management tools work smoothly together, which makes day-to-day property management much more efficient. It also offers strong connectivity with major booking channels, reducing double bookings and saving a lot of manual work. The dashboard is clean and intuitive, helping you quickly understand performance, occupancy, and guest communication.

Cons

What I liked least about is that some features feel less polished than the core channel-management tools. Certain integrations can be slow or require additional troubleshooting, and occasional sync delays create extra manual checks to ensure accuracy. The reporting functions, while useful, could be more customisable to better suit different property types and operational needs. Customer support is generally helpful but can sometimes take longer than expected to resolve more technical issues. Overall, the platform is strong, but these areas—system optimisation, deeper customisation, and faster support responses—would significantly enhance the overall user experience.
