Executive Assistant Gambling & Casinos Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Good choice for social media scheduling software" April 19, 2019 4.0 Later is a good scheduling program across multiple social media platforms, but there are better programs if you are using this only for Instagram. Pros Later is a good tool to help manage social media posts between platforms. You can plan out your posts and see how they will look in your feed. I like that it notifies you when posts should go up and you can post directly from Later. You can now also allow Later to post at a certain time without you needing to do anything. Cons I don't like that it fades out your current feed on Instagram when previewing a post. It's hard to visualize what your photos and feed will look like once posted. There could still be some improvements, though. Scheduling posts and viewing posts is easy, and the interface is well-designed. Cons Almost time I schedule a post I have to immediately delete the post and repost manually because the photos are blurry. This is very frustrating and has honestly ruined this product for me. That said I plan on going back in for another go, change my goals and intentions with it and see if I can make good use of it. I did like the calendar view, it works for how I visualize my organizing. Hoping I can improve my experience and come back with a happier review! Pros I am a solopreneur, so have to wear all of the hats in my business. This year my main goal is to simplify and automate as many of my systems as possible. I was looking for a post schedule and Later was the one that stood out to me the most upon my initial research. I wanted something I could start with free and not be majorly limited with the number of posts I could schedule. Later gave me the most number of scheduled posts in the free version that I could find. Cons I know this isn't Later's fault, but I really wanted something that could schedule a post to a Facebook profile page (not a business page) I thought I could workaround by posting to Instagram first and then sharing from there to Facebook, but I haven't done this yet. I'd say my least favorite thing is that I got stuck trying to troubleshoot when it didn't do what I was initially looking for. Review Source NB Nadia B. It has also helped me to organize my posting schedule for social media and plan ahead. Pros Later is an all-in-one solution. I started to use it to create a link in bio page on Instagram but soon discovered it has many other features, too. It can automate postings across social media outlets, you can schedule posts, and you can also optimize your link in bio with various features. Cons I found it a bit hard to login and navigate at first, as it requires a Facebook login. But once I got a hang of the login and also of the layout of Later itself, it become much easier to navigate. I think it could be slightly more intuitive, but I'm overall pleased with it. August 20, 2019 5.0 This took Instagram (something I have been dreading setting up) and literally turned it into a 2-hour session that has me set up for a month!!!! I'm thrilled. Pros Once I got it connected to my Shopify store, Facebook, and Instagram, I was easily able to set up 30 posts that are ready to go for the next month!!! I really like the calendar app, the ease of setting up times for scheduling, the options for being able to automate the posts, and that I can sort all the pictures I have added to see what has been unused. There is so much I like!!!! Cons I'm not super tech savvy, so I missed the part (if it was there), that I should have set up my store as an Instagram business account. They are also an approved IG partner which means you can have posts publish automatically. Personally, I prefer to get the push notifications to my phone and publish from there. The saved captions are a huge timesaver as they let you add hashtag groupings at a click. Cons I don't have any specific complaints directed at Later, but they are held back by the fact that there are certain functions Instagram doesn't allow you to use third party software for. You just upload your photos and you can store them there until you need them. My favourite is calendar mode, where you just drag the photo over to the date you want to post it, and then you can crop your photo if you need to, add your text and hashtags, set the time, and you're done! I personally don't use the auto-post feature because I like to review before I post, just to double check grammar and spelling. I can set up Instagram posts for the entire month (though I usually do about a week at a time). Pros It's super easy to use, and helps to post consistently to Instagram. We specifically like the view where you can see the time of day you're posting and optimal times. Cons We've run into problems with maxing out the number of accounts we can use. Pros I love the ability to load images into the database to schedule posts. I also really enjoy the saved captions and hashtag suggestions features. The link.bio feature is also very handy and definitely a plus. Cons The biggest drawback is that there is no way to include alt text for images when scheduling posts. Accessibility is a huge priority and not being able to do that has led me to use the Facebook post scheduler more now and I may not renew my Later subscription if they don't add this feature. We don't need to be posting on a daily basis so the free version works wonderfully for our business. Very easy to use and easy to set up. Beautiful interface and intuitive. Cons I wish the Later app itself was able to post the content. What it does, is send a notification and then you have open the post in Instagram and post there manually. If you like leaving a message with a chatbot and waiting two days for a response then use these guys. If you are in a hurry and value your time then find a better tool with better support. You have to pay for the most expensive package for priority support and you still have to wait through chatbot response times in the que. We lost all of our scheduling info and media for my company and another company I help manage, and we are still waiting for a response. We have to put all of our social media on hold and research other tools. Guess we will hear back from them “Later"! Pros Ease of use. Visual drag and drop calendar. Cons Lost all info. Had accounts mixed up. Unable to log in for long periods of time. Had long times of inability to log in. When access was finally available all accounts were disconnected with lost data. Pros Later is really easy to use. I'm able to schedule for my instagram, twitter, and Facebook really quickly. The ability at save captions and hashtags also saves me a lot of time. Later is a huge time saver for me, and I've found it a lot easier and more intuitive than using other scheduling softwares. Cons The free version isn't really helpful at all. I'd recommend at least upgrading to "STARTER." They are also constantly updating and growing features, I'm excited to see what they add. That being said, the current features are pretty minimal in my opinion. Would love to see more analytics abilities, especially with other platforms then instagram. Review Source Britt R. The program only auto-posts for business accounts on IG, but it seems to work perfectly for that. If you have a personal account it only creates reminders to post content you scheduled. Honestly, I love being able to manage my single business account like this. Totally simplifies my work since I can batch my posts for the week or month as I choose. Cons There seems to be some confusion about the auto-posting feature for business accounts only, as the reviews on Google Play are mostly complaints that it doesn't auto-post, but they seem to be for personal accounts as I've not had this issue. LATER. A Godsend for anyone doing organic posting. Pros First of all, Later is beautiful to look at. A lot of times, a platform or app will be very pretty but the functionality will be subpar. That is not the case with Later! My favorite part of the app (besides the fact that you can freaking SCHEDULE INSTAGRAM POSTS) is the left side of the screen where your gallery lives. It's not just a bunch of tiny file names, you can see the images you have in your gallery and it's easy to choose which ones to use. They help me stay up-to-date on what's going on in the ever-changing world of Instagram and how to be a better marketer. Cons The actual scheduling and posting element of this software is fine. It works well, but is limited to just Instagram obviously. I don't see the point in using a software that only supports one of the many social media platforms that I post to. Also, they don't offer the ability (nor do other similar businesses probably) to post multiple image posts.
